this is so cool. it sucks that ppl dont have fun in their music and videos like this anymore. everyone wants to be all hard and bad ass now. music is stale. but great ones like this bring back the freshness and good times in music. doumo arigatou :)
This was one of my favorite videos to watch on MTV back as a kid during the Ninja 80's boom. I was a fan of Hiroshima before I even learned their actual name at first.
In my iTunes library this song is about the most played ever. Somewhere in the 1980's I bought the cd without ever listening or knowing the band or their songs, just beceuse I felt a good vibe coming from it. It never disappointed.
This song is so cool. I love the beginning when he was going after the Ninja version of himself and the Ninja disappears in thin air. Thanks for the upload HirsohimaVEVO. Sure brings back memories of being on the beach when listening to this song.
I remember going to the Kinokuniya Bookstore in San Francisco J-Town soon after I got out of the Navy in 1978 and seeing their first album. I just had to buy it. Still one of my favourite bands of all time.
Floyd Johnson I'm actually surprised that Sho Kousgi himself didn't use any of Hiroshima's music in his films being that they would be ideal his ninja movies. He was leading the charge when it came to the ninja boom during the 80's
I TELL YA Steely Dan Always number 1 with me. I have been playing music all my life professionally. I have done very well. I am 55 I love Music. I have heard this band a time or two in my life . I am an idiot. Only a novice would miss. this.
#SmoothJazz
Loving this video...so very cool! The entire band, they are so easy to talk to (meet n greet). Just ordinary people, doing extraordinary beautiful music. Especially Ms. June...what I very beautiful Lady....so sweet and kind, she's a gift 💗💜
I've been to that bridge many times in LA since the early 70s. During the time they shot this video, I was a 19 year old, somewhere in LA chasing girls on Crenshaw Blvd in my 1973 Mercury Capri
GeorgeJansen I don’t know LA very well but I think that high concrete wedge the guy is sitting on the same place in the canal system where Arnold’s character jumps the motorcycle from in TERMINATOR 2. Part of the video for the Clarke/Duke Project’s “Heroes” (contemporaneous to this one, by the way) was filmed in the canal system.
Had "Beverly Hills Ninja" been a different kind of movie (Farley's character presents as a clever, secret-keeping middleman but is also a skilled field agent) than what it was actually marketed as (slapstick ego over substance), this could have been on the soundtrack.
One of my favorites: so jazzy, so smooth, so musical, so Hiroshima.
this is so cool. it sucks that ppl dont have fun in their music and videos like this anymore. everyone wants to be all hard and bad ass now. music is stale. but great ones like this bring back the freshness and good times in music. doumo arigatou :)
This is one of the baddest jazz bands that ever existed. Anyone that doesn't recognize that is an idiot and doesn't know their jazz
So true.
Beautiful words, friend 😊
Facts! More Wabi Sabi... less me,me,me.
If you want to test out a high end stereo... this is the song!!! Trust me.
My dad used to bring this CD to the stereo shops to tests speakers and receivers
.
Been listening to their music since about 1981
Same ❤

Saw them several times in concert, this became a showstopper as the years went by.....still gotta move when I hear it, and isn't that the point??????
The edit of “San Say” for this video is honestly better than the original. Love it.

People in LA seein these asian dudes filming doing ninja stuff mustve thought it to be pretty cool.
The Gray Ghost especially as things stood at the time - "ninjavitis" had swept the US by 1983.
Floyd Johnson I'm actually surprised that Sho Kousgi himself didn't use any of Hiroshima's music in his films being that they would be ideal his ninja movies. He was leading the charge when it came to the ninja boom during the 80's
Given all the 80s ninjas movies set there, they probably didnt bat an eye lol

Hiroshima’s original keyboard player loved Steely Dan, too ❤️.

Now if I could just find the tune No. 9. I wore this song out back in the days of cassettes.
This is cheezy Asian funk and I love it!

自身は海外のアーティストはアバ&ノーランズの次にヒロシマが好きだった!
Sounds like something from Spyro the Dragon...I'm not complaining.
35 thumbs down couldn’t attain that final level
I am a huge fan of your music. Now I can enjoy your videos. I'm adding you to NewporterJazz video jukebox -Robert
me?cool!!
Who is the bass player in this video? I once featured Hiroshima during one of my radio programs in college. Great band!🎉
I was hoping to see an R30 skyline somewhere

Is that famous LA Bridge?

I’ve always really liked this video and it’s the only song of Hiroshima’s that I’ve really dug.
Had "Beverly Hills Ninja" been a different kind of movie (Farley's character presents as a clever, secret-keeping middleman but is also a skilled field agent) than what it was actually marketed as (slapstick ego over substance), this could have been on the soundtrack.
😂 this is great
Suntory White CMsong?
Song was made for a Miami Vice episode
Sinful-Killa. Really? Had no idea, thanks for the information. I’ve always loved Hiroshima’s music & saw them years ago. They are a stellar group ❤️
That was even before Miami Vice ever premiered. I think when Castillo was reunited with his ex wife.
Baia baia :V
Teacher. Instructor.
Is this artist the creator of Everyone Knows That?
Please RESPOND
I never knew they made a video. A bit cheesy, but a great song.
Of dragons and snakes
Goes to show that a video doesn't have to make any sense.
What are you talkin about?
This video made PERFECT sense
You must not have attained
THE FINAL LEVEL
L.A Ninja FTW....never imangine ninja's while listening to this song
Who have song Hiroshima Sanju?
6th street bridge in Los Angeles in the 80s.
If atomic bombs have you running around town like this then I understand CND? I really do
