Not only is this a good idea, me and my friend are actually working on a book about warrior dogs with packs, custom roles, custom names, and more! It’s called canine warrior and it’s on a google doc(note this is a super alpha version and we could change almost everything)! It even has new characters, and it’s been quite fun to write and world build, so if you have any ideas/questions about it feel free to ask!

I honestly love this art style and concept, but I have one problem with the video, which is that the "evil shadowclan cats" are all dogs stereotyped as "scary", which is personal for me, being a dog person who loves the "scary"-looking dogs like pitbulls. EDIT: Oh boi the replies section is a warzone. Guess I gotta make an update: I love pitties. Dobermans. Rottweilers, Boxers, all of 'em. I own three large dogs. I am quite biased, but let me make one thing clear: *the stereotype of pitbulls is very harmful. The treatment of pitbulls is very harmful. Just because some pitbulls have good lives and behave well does not mean that others are not terribly abused and therefore behave terribly. I understand that pitbulls can be aggressive due to human's horrible treatment of them. Pitbulls that are not abused and trained to be aggressive will probably be good dogs. Pitbulls who ARE abused and aggressive, though, are a completely different story, but it is NOT THEIR FAULT YALL. God. Please stop blaming the poor dogs for their own suffering, good LORD.* On a related note, please stop turning the replies into a warzone. I will not be responding to any of the replies. Thanks for taking the time to read my pitbull treatment rant and good day.
My intentions were spooky and mysterious since that's what the clan prides themselves on! The background gives off that vibe but I chose it since I think it fit the described setting, such as the thunder path and the pine forest. I too didn't want to make the dogs of negative stereotypes but my reasoning behind Black Foot was mainly since he isn't actually a villain in the books and is depicted as serious. Also pit bulls can easily range between white and black which I found the breed most suitable. Also their are other pitbull characters such as HalfTail which he is not a villain at all either and made sure to dipict him with a kind old smile. Not all the characters are dicpiected as scary since little paw being a small dash hound and runningwind being a small wippet along with the other members. As BroekenStar he is a short shouted cat like a yellow fang, and bulldogs have short snouts as well which I found the perfect match. Shadow clan has the most labrador retrievers than any other clan so far which has the stereotype as being the kindest dog breed. For tigerstar I made him a came carso mainly because they are a large breed like he is depicted in the series being a very large cat and cane carsos also can be brindle which is similar to stripes of which he got his name.

This is really cool! I personally think that- with the exceptions of Rusty/Firepaw and Smudge- they’d all be mutts with the appearance and personality of one, two, maybe three specific breeds since they are wild and have been for so many generations. But I do like your art style and the way you see them as dogs.

This is amazingly drawn, and reminds me of Survivors! I do wish it was popular again, and I wanna see what popular youtubers would do with the, well, boring books of the first series. I wanna see more animations of the murder with breeze, Storm, etc. It would definitely be cool. Everything was wonderfully drawn, and fits them well!
It makes me so sad that people don't know Survivors exists, and if they do they don't make content based around it at all. The Survivors fandom is so dead yet it deserves so much better, I bet if we showed the Erin's that we actually like the series and make stuff for it, they'd bring it back and FINALLY continue everything they set up for but ended up dropping.

Smaller breeds have different fighting styles and are used for underground hunting such as mice, rabbits or are encouraged to become medicine dogs. They are looked down upon but mouse fur proves them wrong.

Yeah it's really hard to find accurate patterns between cats to dogs since they are different species. But there was one photo when I was searching for a breed for DappleTail and it was crazy accurate to her patterns! But it was some mixed breed and I didn't think it matched her personality or how she is described in the books as being beautiful.
