The mother should’ve just educated her son why he should stick with woman his own age, instead of yelling and insulting. The mother is right though, age is not just a number, it’s a stage of life and way older people chasing and dating way younger people is predatory, and they should be shamed for it. Plus bigger age gap couples just cause more problems and have higher divorce rates. The bigger the age gap, the more different the mindset and life stage. The mother had the right message but delivered it the wrong way.

A main part of being against the quote is when it comes to realtionships between minors and legal adults. That's where age is not just a number.
