Love it! Please make more cold start videos especially of this truck and show us more in detail what you do with the gas pedal when starting it. Love carbureted cold starts especially chokeless ones. Can’t wait!
I thought I was the only one (very few) that likes that! I appreciate the comment and I will make a good one next video! Have a Awesome day!!!!!! 😁
@@DGCoinPusher oh not at all you aren’t alone. II’d love to see that. In fact it would be cool for you to take us with you and show us every time you start your carbureted truck to see how differently it starts depending on the day and weather conditions. I’d watch every one!
🤣
One of the best vehicles ever built !
Back when trucks AND people had character! 👍
I agree!
The good old rounded line series!
Yes!
You can still find it in both of you know where to look
Amen from istanbul
My first truck was a 84 custom deluxe dual tanks 350 Chevrolet small block and a turbo 350 it was a fun old truck
Really love the cranking in this cold start! Really great sound! Like this a lot!
nothing better than the sound of an extremely cold General motors starter cranking over that 454 big block!
Yes, you got to love it!
I bet talking to her helps. Lol
"come on, baby!" 😂 What I usually say to my truck
I like to say that a few times when I am listening to that awesome cranking!
1977 was the only year for the gold stripe in the optional bodyside molding trim. Also 1977 was the first year for optional power windows, power door locks, & inside hood release. In 1981, outside hood release was dropped so inside hood release was on all models.
I just bought an 81 camper special and I love it!
👍😎
Man I love an old 70s square
Your videos are helpful for me riding El Camino in Japan
If this quadrajet and timing was right she'd fire right up..and yes it needs the choke
I love that truck your amazing at art
My absolute dream truck just different color
Can be yours for a low payment of $4,995.00. Haha
Very cool and nice but did anybody else notice the oil pressure gauge not lifting up???
Would love one of those in the U.K. but that lack of oil pressure would panic me, not unusual in the cold I know.
You should actually have higher oil pressure in the cold since the oil is thicker then.
I think the sender unit is disconnected. It just stays at 0.
Yeah good oil pressure in cold
It would be ok
My 1987 is carburetored. All i have to do is turn the switch.
The seventies big blocks where gutless but it was the government regulations
I unironically love the gutless big blocks as much as the pre-1972 ones
How about revving that Chevy?
You could get a C-10 with a 454 in 1977? Or was the engine swapped for a 454 at some later point?
I guess it kind of makes sense considering the limited HP available on the malaise era trucks that you could get a 454 in a half ton. By the 80s I don't think you could get a half ton with a 454, or at least that's what I remember. For age reference, I went to HS in the 80s, Gen-Xer here.
It was swapped in later.
I love those cold starts please show shoes on pedals;)
What happened to being “easy on the starter”??
I've got a 76 sierra classic camper special 454 with headers as well
Sounds nice!
0:39 - 0:57 Ahhh love much this sounds it make so hard ❤😊 You're fantastic with your sweet videos !😘🤗
Would a block heater make your life easier?
Ok. Some questions: Just picked up a 1977 Chevy C20 camper special, 454 big block. Just got delivered and having some apparent electrical issues. It ran at first, drove it around. Power was underwhelming, like not all cylinders firing or something. Do you recommend an LS1 engine swap, or rebuilding the 454? Love the truck, and it is good shape for it's age but it will need a complete restore and i'm trying to add it all up.
Get it fixed?
Keep the big block
My 350 takes at least 13 pumps. Then maybe another 10. Or a shot of pyroil and a few stabs.
You got a choke hooked up lol
@@DGCoinPusher why would I do that when I just told you it doesn't need one?
@@mikeb3153 I don't know. Sounds like you were complaining not bragging lol
666th like yeeyee bubba clean truck!
What tach did you use on your truck?
What cam do you have in there?
I am not sure. It was in it when I got it.
Bbc is a bitch to start in the winter
Every engine is, if the choke is not tuned properly. Manual choke is easiest since it doesn't require much adjusting.
I agree
…zero oil pressure….scary
Stop smoking bro
How bout you mind your business bro?? 🤦🏾
Smoke is from the engine😅
