after the menus on the character selection screen, the Captain Falcon option was completely random. when the player selection token is dropped off the side of the selection panels, the computer chooses your character for you. so essentially Captain Falcon chose me, not the other way around

Well yes and I’m glade for the most part they got rid of the clones however they still had to many clones in that game too with toon link,doctor Mario,dark pit who should of never been a clone and a few others. My point was melee had way to many damn clones that’s all I was saying
yes, they always do the same thing given i'm inputting the same thing. if i load a save-state and make the same controller inputs on the same frames, the computer will always do the same thing. they may also do the same thing if i input something different, but typically only slightly different (going left for one or two frames instead of right for example).
