Small artists like this make almost nothing off spotify streams. Spotify is more valuable as a marketing mechanism for these bands, gets their name out there and increases exposure, but they again get paid peanuts if that. Only your huge acts, like mega-super popular pop stars are making good money off spotify. Artists make the most money off their own website if they have one, and next best would be bandcamp which offers one of, if not the highest split of profits to the artist of any of the music/streaming/download services.
@@windowstwelve they sort of dont have to because for 1 they are my friends and 2 being greedy tends to bite ya in da rear and 3 we had a hand shake agreement that should they make it or not the music business that they could toss me some coin for my work or if i made it big first that i'd bring them on tour or help them stand up so they could make it on their own. its about being faithful and loyal and most of all a true business man puts people first before pennies. one can always rebuild. besides if my friend or family member breaks a window...so what, they are material things and can always be replaced but people can not be replaced. it serves right that in all things business to always be nice and if an error was made even if your head blows steams of rage its always best to forgive each other. its about integrity. one can stockpile all the money in the world but if youre a major jerk then everyone will leave you and all you will have is your money and not a damm soul to help keep you warm. unless you make a bonfire with your money. those who are jerks tend to build unsteady networks. but those who are nice tend to build strong networks. patience is essential to building a strong foundation. if you rush things...well then there'll be mistake here and there and to the left and right. if at first one does not succeed one must try again. it is better to stumble forward than to fall backwards and never reach the mountain top. Never give up my friend. never give up the fight. be relentless. be like a soldier for your greatest fortune and never surrender! there is no such thing as being a failure but their is such thing as loosing site of your goal or your dream. keep your eyes open and Always Be Learnin'.
