Thank you so much!! Please put you hand written note on paper - just like the one you have on board. I believe so many people will love to buy a comprehensive concise note. Thanks again
We are all a team when it comes to patient care - every part of the team is extremely important. And our friends in EMS do a wonderful job! Thanks for watching! :)
Hi Charlie, great question. When you think of hemorrhaging or bleeding, think about C for circulation. This is priority #3 (ABC). In reality, there will be many hands on deck in caring for a trauma victim and multiple steps will be taken care of simultaneously. For example, the doc, RT and one nurse may be performing the intubation while a other nurse or tech is applying pressure to any sources of bleeding. Check out this poster from the emergency nurses association (ENA): www.ena.org/shop/catalog/education/posters/tncc-trauma-nursing-process-poster-/c-23/c-109/p-244 Hope this helps!
The purpose of the primary survey is to rapidly identify and manage impending or actual life threats to the patient. Letters A-E help to accomplish that. The secondary survey starts after the primary survey has been completed, immediate life threats identified and managed, and the patient is stable. Keep monitoring the patients airway, breathing, circulation, HR, BP and O2 sat as well as their mental status to detect any changes early. Hope this helps!

I thought hemorrhaging supersedes in primary CABC

I thought F and G was part of the Primary Survey and the Head-toToe starts the Secondary survey
