Hey loves! I hope you are all doing well. This video was supposed to go up last week but if you caught my post in the Community section you'd know that I needed a mental health break with everything going on surrounding my community here in the states. A revamp is coming to my channel and I'm so excited to share this new content with you all. (Sidenote; apologies for the shaky intro, I'm getting new products for my video that'll hopefully fix my image stabilization). A quick reminder to continue to take this time to educate yourself, take a mental break if needed, and take action in whichever way you think you can be the most impactful to the cause. Here's a link so some resources if you don't know where you start: blacklivesmatters.carrd.co/ Hope you all enjoy the video!
First I saw high quality feathers on Ali and one girl in comments wrote about DIY dche watched to place them in vase very gorg! I got so excited - checked youtube for DIY and FOUND THIS!!!! WOOOOOOW I REALLY WANNA DO SMTHNG SIMILAR! FANTASTIC
Thank you so much. I Have been wanting to make one of these. Several years ago I put white feathers on my Christmas tree in place of traditional garland. I loved it and no do it every year.
This looks so freaking beautiful ! You did an amazing job ! I literally was sticker shocked last year and so glad I came across your video finally! This was definitely on my DIY bucket List! Thank you!
I love love love this! Thank you so much for sharing this, it's absolutely GORGEOUS! You make it look easy enough for me to make. lol My niece's 30th birthday is coming up and I know she would love one of these so I'm going to give it my best shot. Thank you again
Best one I’ve seen so far! I saw one girl’s and the light wouldn’t work after and another video where it was basically falling apart. A mess. Thank you!
I'm a new sub! I love this project! You are so energetic, pretty, and have a cute personality! Thank you for this diy! Great ideas! Keep up the good work! Glad I found you!
Definitely would love to recommend something, but first-- hey! I’m Ashley. I’m new to your videos. And I must say I love you already!! So anyway my recommendation is using gold leaf-if you use a tack glue. You won’t get the tarnish and it will all fill the first time! I absolutely love this lamp. I’m so doing this!!!!!!!
That’s awesome! I just saw this lamp & wanted to buy it! But, it was 899.00 - supposedly sale price Black Friday... just too expensive! But look at YOU! Gold leaf & the clay was a Homerun! But, I will buy a short lamp- you definitely left me on Huh??? When you rewired that bad boy! Very Courageous!❤️
Yes girl it is so expensive! I always try to repurpose things so rewiring just made sense to me, but then again it's very much in my character to do something like that 😂 I'm glad you liked it! 💜
Imani thanks girl! I bought 50 but I’d recommend getting more like 75 or even 100 if you can. The only reason mine came out full was because the seller gave me some additional feathers for free because they had defects.
No no no, the ground wire is yellow or yellow green. The black is negative and the blue is positive. In these lights you mostly won't get a ground wire, as it's mostly used near water (bathroom, kitchen, etc) In Europe it really doesn't matter too much if you get them mixed up, but in US it seems that for some reason you have to get it right. Plainly, if there are markings in the lamp about which wire goes where, follow it. Otherwise, don't worry about it too much. It matters with motors and such, because they'll turn backwards 😉
Thanks! I used 50 plus some extra free feathers the seller gave me, but if you can afford to get more like 75 or even 100 I’d definitely would recommend it so you can fill in gaps easier
Which seller did you use for the feathers and how many inches did you or recommend? BTW I absolutely loved your lamp! It turned out fabulous! I'm glad I ran into your video because I've been looking for ideas to Up cycle my old floor lamp and this is perfect!!!
I think You did a great Job with your....not palm leaf!!! It's A Pampa lol....and there is a very much easyer DIY on this TREE.... Thank you for sharing Bless Be ..
I did not say the entire project costs $8 the lamp I used for the video was $8 which is why the price is in front of the cheap lamp and not the end product. I have not hidden or deceived anyone everything is listed in the description box and mentioned in the video. Thanks for watching
I love your lamp but did you know how much pain those poor ostriches go through getting plucked? I don't think you realise. But I just wanted you to know. You can look up Yoduvh Essentials and she also makes a lovely feathered lamp like yours but she makes the feathers out of yarn wool. It looks exactly the same as the real feathers. You should look her up and use her tips on how to make your own feathers. Plus it's so much cheaper. You will be impressed. I didn't realise about how the feathers are plucked off these poor birds but I looked it up and it's so cruel how these people pluck by ripping off the feathers. If you see it, it is so sad. But besides all that, I love watching all of your diys. You are very talented. You should open up your own shop and sell. I hope you and your family are safe and healthy through these Covid-19 times. Sending you my blessings from Australia. 😽💕👌
Hey Kelly thanks for you comment! Yes I am aware of ostrich plucking however, not all ostrich feathers are harvested that way as ethical procedures have been created as to not hurt them. Thank you for your complements and yes we are doing well! Wishing the same for you and yours 💜

YES I'm so glad someone made this DIY cause it's a gorgeous piece of furniture but I cannot justify paying over $1000 for a lamp 😭
Exactly when I saw the price I was like, I'm not paying a months' worth of rent for a lamp 😂

Is there any links to the stuff you used ?
You could have used contact paper rolls, covered them in aluminum foil and spray painted them gold. Or just aluminium foil and spray painted it gold.
Well i found gold aluminium foil paper online ,less hassle
Wheres the description box? Oh got it girl I had to turn my tablet, you talented girl this is great xx
glad you found it lol thanks!
I love! How many feathers did you need all together for this? Xx
Imani thanks girl! I bought 50 but I’d recommend getting more like 75 or even 100 if you can. The only reason mine came out full was because the seller gave me some additional feathers for free because they had defects.

Where is the link for the lights?
No no no, the ground wire is yellow or yellow green. The black is negative and the blue is positive.

Are the plates plastic or glass? And omg I am doing this!!!!
They’re plastic 😊 since I used led lights and they aren’t touching using plastic is fine in this case. You should I hope yours comes out great!!

Amazing! U saved my wallet 🤣
Lol glad I could help!
I think You did a great Job with your....not palm leaf!!! It's A Pampa lol....and there is a very much easyer DIY on this TREE....
Thank you for sharing Bless Be ..
No it shaped like a palm tree so she is right. pampa is grass and it grows straight up
😍😍
Instead of clay use silver foil and spray it ..
So this did not cost $8. Each feather you used costs $8.95 a piece, so the titles a bit deceptive.
I did not say the entire project costs $8 the lamp I used for the video was $8 which is why the price is in front of the cheap lamp and not the end product. I have not hidden or deceived anyone everything is listed in the description box and mentioned in the video. Thanks for watching
you beautiful clever girl!!!!!!
Thank you!
Nordic ostrich😂😂😂😂😂
Hello,I,m,srilanka,good,idiya,
The feathers are much more expensive
I love your lamp but did you know how much pain those poor ostriches go through getting plucked? I don't think you realise. But I just wanted you to know.
