Great question. With these particular gels they are a hard gel and the glitters can be sort of thick so with these I would leave the extensions thin as these are going to add to your apex and your thickness. With normal thin (maybe like 40% of the normal apex and thickness I would do) gel polishes I usually build the nail up to about 90-95% and then the two thin coats of color and top coat finish it out. Hope that makes sense.
*sees the cost* nope. Me: Buys a tube of 1 step for $80... Me: Manually mixes the glitters. Solved. No reason a jar of gel should cost $15 for 15 mL b/c it's HEMA free. That's just taking advantage.
Hi Susan we have a lot of professional nail techs who rely on these products so we need to support them as well. Especially after the year they’ve had with closures. Definitely with you on the matte over glitter. It's such a unique and cool look! I love matte over shimmers and flakes and mylar and anything sparkly.

Hi you don’t have to embed these. They can be used as gel color/polish. You can also use Extreme or 1-Step from Light Elegance as needed.
Doe the Jimmy Gel scratch up when uses as a top coat? Is it durable?
