Clarity is king. All the cute, fun looking dice and accessories might be fun to collect, but if they create any ambiguity at a glance they're instantly a problem at the table.
I one hundred percent agree. Dice can be cool looking, especially for dramatic moments that require epic rolls. However, if you create a scenario where your dice rolls exact number can be argued, that will be a constant source of tension in the group, even if accidental. Also the long rolls are more annoying than fun. You want a spinner? Buy a fidget spinner or a spinning top. A dice's primary job is determining a random value, and looking cool is only tertiary. When you compromise a dice with embellishment, it's worthless.
Polyhero made a rogue themed set with a d20 in the shape of a gem that spun, but because of its shape, it didn't spin that long. They also made a lock-pick d20 which was designs as a top with the portion you spin looking to have a pick coming out the top and it would be under a padlock shell, and when you wanted to stop it, you would pull the pick down in the "tumbler" of the padlock and the number would display in a window. Thia rogue one is probably the best example of spinning d20s.

I guess it's how it's used? The way I'm thinking is if the players are in a scenario where some kind of random event is supposed to happen periodically. Start the spin and keep playing. It'll be a timer, so when it stops, you do the event, and the number would be what you do.

Spinning dice would be good for enemy interruptions to make something really stressful or environmental hazards that can also interrupt if the number landed on is high enough.

Easy fix for these unbalanced dice is set the failure to roll to a 0 aka the character dies of the same aneurysm they are trying to give the DM for example the ends of the canister, the not even rolling its spinning, and your character takes 1 damage for every second over 5 it takes for them to finish rolling

So similar to spindown d20's, I'd have to say no. *Some of them just take too long to "roll" and I'm not dealing with that in a combat with 4+ players, rolling potentially 2+ attacks each. Yes, I am referring to the saucers on this one. *Lack of clarity on them. The saucers and the d4 in particular are going to be hard to read at a table. That d4 is most likely going to cause problems, especially if you dont have lighting that is directly above it. Those fuel tanks will cast shadows, and the entire thing is just a nightmare. So yeah, a lot of this set is just too impractical for most uses. Though i will say that i saw a comment mention that the d20 saucer could be used as a timer for dungeon events, and I love it. This is a case where a longer roll time actually adds something to it. But as a player, most of these arent particular good to use.

I used to play with a DM that had a bunch of really cool dice sets that he made himself and some that he had specially made. My favorite that he made was a simple set that he hand carved out of exotic woods, but he had one set he had hammer forged out of Damascus steel that was absolutely gorgeous. The numbers were all brass inlay. They were heavy as hell, but man they were cool. That dude brought a different set of dice for almost every game and I don't think I ever seen him with the same dice twice

Get small syringes with tiny metal tips... makes applying paint into recesses like these much easier without all the paint leeching everywhere like your models.
I think these would be coolest for a dm to use, spinning the d-20 and explaining everything that’s about to happen bc of the roll and they build more and more anticipation
The only thing is that the slightly textured surfaces of some of the numbers on the D20 seem like it would affect the way that it rolls and maybe make certain numbers more or less common based on whatever little protrusions there are
The fidget spinner would be really good for random encounters. GM can spin it whenever the party is doing “house keeping”, travel, wilderness adventure etc and whenever it lands the GM plays the random encounter which corresponds to the die
That d8 with the tops would actually be sick. For a game like DND, you can make it into a magical item if lands on the top it does an opposite effect like heals the target of the reroll or if it lands in the bottom it does triple damage of the next reroll
The spinning ones would be better if you put a small liquid disc or orb in the middle that has a bubble (like a cheap compass/ or a level) so it can more accurately see which number it landed on
The flying saucer d20, would be perfect for building drama at the table. DM places it carefully on the table, and starts its spin. Then carefully itterates the villans monolog, hanging on each symbol while keeping an eye on the spinning d20. As the monolog comes to a close hopefully timed for the estimated spin time of this dice. The dice begins to wobble and falls on a number as the DM announces the BBEG's spell, or attack. This forces the players to wait for the monolog, and since the roll was already started other players can't announce a surprise attack in the middle of the monolog since the BBEG technically already began their attack.
Imagine being the DM and using the spinners as a sort of timer. Like a massive energy gun powering up, and the number it lands on determines its accuracy! If it lands on 20, game over for whoever or whatever it’s targeted at. If it lands on 1, it goes straight backwards.
Just thought of an interesting idea for the spinner dice. You could let one spin and pretty much have the party make their moves and can do however much they want until the spinner stops

That rocket die is based off the Chinese Long March 9 rocket concept btw. Pretty cool.
