This is just like how Ryo Sakazaki from AOF would make a Guest Appearance in a Fatal Fury Game, but would also Confirmed these 2 Series are indeed in the exact same Universe.
Sakura is best "Ryu clone". She has come a long way 😊 I like her story in SFV were she realized living only to fight and become stronger is not the lifestyle she wants. She is more mature now, she has a new goal in her life, get marry and have a child. (Kinda like Krillin from Dragon Ball) Sure, she still fights but only for fun, it is no longer her main focus. Sakura's story it is like a reflection of us, the players who have grown up with her.
Who would've thought that Sakura Kasugano became such an Instant Fan-Favorite in the SF: Alpha series, Even though she's just a Female Version of Ryu, but she did Developed very well throughout the Years and became a totally an Original Character, Sakura is an Example of one of those Disciple Characters where they will eventually take the Characters place, truly was ahead of its Time.
Yeah, I have to agree. I like the end of her development in SFV I don't get why people didn't like her story in SFV It was a good story with a good lesson. Especially for long time fans who have grown with Sakura.

Sakura was an Awesome choice in Rival Schools, it's actually what got to be in the same Universe as the Street Fighter series (same as how they did with Final Fight as well), You wanna know what's the Irony of both Sakura and Hinata in Rival Schools, since we all know Sakura Idolizes Ryu so much she wanted to Imitate his Shoto Moves, but Hinata on the other Hand actually Mastered Martial Arts from Ken Masters in a Online Fighting School (which Explains how she has Fire Kicks), Sakura and Hinata are definitely a way better Rivalry than Sakura and Karen in both the SF: Alpha series and SF5.

Even before SFV, Rival Schools and Street Fighter were 'relatives' series. You know what is interesting. The creator of the series is a KOF fan.

I learned new things for example, how Batsu was actually a scrap character from *Star Gladiator,* Akiman (his creator) asked Itsuno to put Batsu in Rival School. Itsuno was okay with the idea but he had to fix Batsu's original design because it was bad (and I mean really bad) How he fixed him? He just used one of the designs made originally by Kyosuke for Batsu. And that's how Batsu got his iconic look.

Doesn’t Yuri have a tatsumaki similar to Sakura during KOF 99’ - 2001? Not only that but also has a super move similar to Ryu’s Shinku Shoryuken. She even straight up copied Akuma’s Raging Demon in KOF 2001.

Capcom really ruined Sakura's face in the recent patch of Street Fighter V 😑 Sure her original face when she was announced wasn't the best but it was more expressive and fits with Sakura's personality. Now Sakura looks like more generic.
