Something different from the regular interviews and boat tours. I have set off on the biggest journey. A solo Atlantic crossing from Gran Canaria straight to Rio de Janeiro Brazil. 3600 miles across the Atlantic. I'm really looking forward to this adventure and hope you follow along if you are interested. I will try to upload a daily vlog as I go across the ocean. After this crossing I have a brand new season of interviews and boat tours coming up for boatlife is best!

Congrats Hugo. Very nice job. Hope you can have a great time here in Rio. But be careful, as you know, it's a very big (and beatiful) city but social and economical differences bring unsafe places you should avoid. Be alert and have fun.

Thank you, I must say sailing in the Mediterranean is a lot more challenging. And I did quite a bit of that. The challenge of the crossing is that it is a very long time and far away from help.

Haha, yeah I’ve just been using my iPhone for all the videos. I have microphones and everything onboard but it would add a lot more hassle before picking up the camera taking away from the reality of the filming I wanted to do and add more work in editing as well.

Yeah that’s what I found out after an hour haha. As you can see in the video I can see both from where I am with the boat. Really cool views!

Yes if the wind is from the North the planes approach really low over the anchorage.
I guess no sleep during that last night?
Only a couple of short 20 minute naps that last night haha. Definitely had a good sleep the first night after arriving.
