- Switzerland has always been high on our bucket list and it has most certainly lived up to the hype. In one week, we were treated to pristine aqua blue lakes, snowy mountains, epic roads, adorable towns and some truly memorable hikes. For such a small country, Switzerland truly packs a punch!

It's been an absolutely pleasure chatting with you guys in the comments! As always, THANK YOU for taking the time to show your love and support. *Two questions* that have been brought up a fair bit (here and on Instagram) is with regard to wild camping in Switzerland and generally how we manage to keep warm in Jits!
*WILD CAMPING* Unfortunately wild camping is a lot harder in Switzerland than any other country that we've been to in Europe. There are signs everywhere you can think of, to let you know that overnight camping is prohibited with hefty fines in place if you break these rules. This is completely understandable when you consider that it is done in the interest of preserving the natural beauty & wildlife. As you would expect, campsites in Switzerland are VERY expensive, averaging at 50CHF for one night (2 adults)… OUCH. Luckily we were able to tuck Jits into safe, out of the way spots with no parking prohibitions through our trusty Park4Night app. So bottom line is that wild camping in Switzerland is hard but not impossible!
*KEEPING WARM IN JITS* Whilst we do have a heater in Jits we rarely ever use it. Instead we find it is more efficient to heat ourselves rather than the space. We do this with plenty of layers, blankets, hot drinks and TWO hot water bottles each! 🤪

I just love the area around Lauterbrunen. A little tip that might help other visitors. You can buy a ticket for a week that covers you on most of the cablecars and railways in the area (excludes Jungfraujock and Schilthorn) including Grindelwald.
We hired mountain bikes and took them to the top from Grindelwald on the cable car. They have a special bracket to hang the bikes on the outside of the cabin. There are 3 routes down. Each was simply amazing. (Yes, I did it 3 times!)
The cablecars and railways are simply amazing, with lots of wonderful walks and places to see. My favourite place in the whole world.
Oeschinensee is just glorious. Visited when our Scout Group stayed at the Kandersteg International Scout Centre last summer (2019). The region's scenery is breathtaking.

I just can't get over how absolutely brilliant your videos are. I know I say that often, but your videography and professional editing puts some commercial documentaries to shame. Add to that the most lovely couple as narrators and you've got the recipe for prefect infotainment. The scenes in this video are outstanding (of course the Swiss mountains are ideal for it) and your enthusiasm is contagious. I just love everything you do! We had a train and cable car pass last time which was brilliant. We didn’t have a van at the time.

A really enjoyable watch and walk down memory lane as i've also visited those places you went to in Switzerland. But there is a LOT more to the country and you really need spend a few weeks there to benefit. Your van is similar to one I used to own, a 2000 registered AutoSleepers Duetto on Ford Transit chassis. I owned it for 10 years touring throughout European countries, mostly Eastern.
I love Switzerland 🇨🇭......in any season, but Winter is my favorite. I also love when Spring starts to melt patches of ❄ SNOW and the 1st 💐 flowers begin to spring up. I was so lucky 2 have lived in Italy and Germany 4 the 1st 7yrs of my life where we would travel through Austria, Switzerland and Istria/Slovenia. I'm 66yrs now, and I still get Homesick 😔......BUT .....watching videos like yours help me to feel as though I'm there ones more. If you make it to 🇮🇹 Italy, head north to the port-city of TRIESTE, my mother's Hometown which is unique and has a rich history. Then go to my favorite little mountain village of San Leopoldo where I spent my summers growing up. Just a little note if interest: When I was small everyone in Italy would spend 10 days in the ⛰ mountains and 10 days at the seaside....

Another beautiful and inspiring film! The first of yours that I saw, the lovely tour of Jits, actually inspired me to buy my own Peugeot Autosleeper! Great to see you guys continue your travels and share it with us. Scenery was wonderful as was your photograph . My wife and I ( both in our 60's) have a 1997 Mazda Bongo which as we get older, we find a little too much hassle for touring in. You have a very small space once the beds are made up and you have to go outside if you need the loo in the night! So I am thinking of getting a Harmony. Slightly shorter in length than the Symbol, but because both front seats swivel on the Harmony, you get a longer set of beds, into the cab area. The trade off compared to the Bongo is, No AC, No Automatic and no 4 wheel drive. I'm guessing you guys would be biased but any advice/tips/positives and negatives would be gratefully received. Take care and be safe. PS. The hair will grow back!!

Thank you so so much for your continued love & support 🌟We definitely are biased when it comes to Jits because we really do think she is so incredibly well designed. To us, a Bongo, given its size, is more like a weekend van. Whereas Jits (or similar Autosleeper models) is designed like a true tiny home... allowing you to live full-time on the road. AC would be lovely to have when it's mid summer and you're somewhere like Spain BUT we managed just fine with our mini fans & keeping the windows opens for a through breeze. We would love to have a 4 wheel drive but in reality, what is the point of getting to brilliant off-road locations, if you feel like you can't choose to stay there as long as you'd like due to Bongo limitations (size/stoilet ect.). Ps. If you're on Facebook, we have started a private group for our over 50s community... in case you want to join? It would be great to have you guys there 🚐💕xx Tania
