In a draft that doesn't have an obvious first option franchise guy, it wouldn surprise me if a team picks him with the first pick based on need (the spurs for example). If the speed of what happens between the ears could be measured as precisely as height, we would find out that Sheppard is like a 7 footer for processing speed and hand eye coordination. It is apparent in everything he does. The game seems so slow for him... he is in the matrix. I dont know if he will have the highest peak in this draft class, but he will for sure be contributing to winning teams for 10+ years on offense and defence.
Thanks for the awesome content! I love him to my Spurs! However, I have a question: Why in the hell wouldn’t you (Kentucky) start him and up his volume immediately? I don’t understand how he doesn’t start. Seems like it would improve Kentucky’s tourney chances. Thanks!
That was an awesome analysis of Sheppard’s Offensive Skill Sets but, this video could have been about twice as long if he talked about Sheppard’s Defensive skills of Steals and Shot Blocking. Before they play the first game of the tournament, Sheppard needed 7 more Steals to tie Kentucky Single Season Steals Record held by Rajon Rondo. I couldn’t agree more that it would have been better if Sheppard had a lot more Volume of shots this season. He was “Too Unselfish” with the Ball and I saw him pass on a lot of shots I know he could have easily made but, instead he many times passed the ball to a team mate that had a more difficult shot than the one he gave up. That’s why I think he would even be better next year if he stayed one more year. He is capable of averaging 20-25 points a game if he wanted too. And he would want to step in to that role as the leading scorer on the team once Antonio Reeves is gone next year. I know I’m being selfish but, l so wish he would stay one more!
The usual #1 picks are franchise players. Unfortunately, Reed isnt. He may be a very high level role player to Star, maybe. I have the feeling that we, Spurs, wont get the number #1 this offseason, i wouldn’t kind getting reed in pick #3-#5. But for #1-#2 id rather pick a player who has the potential to become a perennial All NBA like Sarr or the Holland.
@@jpsatre give me a break w role player... reed is just as athletic as chris paul and shoots better than curry at his age. u need to watch him play more imo
You have to take the big wings with potential to be #2 playmakers before the small guards. Dillingham and Reed are high level offensive players, but marks on defense.@@jpsatre
I think spurs go with Sarr another Frenchman to keep wimby happy. Plus pop has history of twin towers. Then Detroit will pick the other Frenchman. So the Kentucky guards will wind up anywhere from charlotte to Memphis. Although as a Memphis fan I want dukes center, but I’ll be happy with either of Kentuckys guards.
6’2” with a 6’3” wingspan. Great college player. Will be a good backup PG in the NBA. He deserves to be drafted anywhere from 15-25. Only complete frauds have him as a top 5 or 10 pick and I’m embarrassed for them.
You know nothing about evaluating players. Luckily, trash organisations like the pistons are employing trash scouts like you. They will pass on him. It will be a blessing. They will not be able to ruin his career.
He’s very strong and high iq that makes up for the lack of size a lot. It’s a concern no doubt but you are blowing it way out of proportion when a player like Darius Garland is holding up fine I don’t think it’s concerning enough for Reed for him to drop out top 10 and if he does well in the tournament and combine top 5 or top 3 is a real possibility
if the raptors pick conveys to san antonio (if it's outside the top 6, it goes to the spurs), i see them taking him, assuming he slips that far. i wouldnt feel comfortable taking him in the top 5 for sure, and top 10 is iffy if you only have 1 pick, but if the spurs get a top 3 pick plus the raptors pick, he makes too much sense for them. great shooter who can fit into their system and benefit from wembanyama's gravity. tbh i almost buy him as a top 3 pick for them specifically depending on who they want/can get with the raptors pick. i saw a mock draft today (i think from bleacher report) that had them taking sheppard at 3 and nikola topic at 7, and i didnt hate it...
Seriously. He needs another year or he'll likely disappear into the aether. I've not seen anything that really warrants him as a first round pick this season.
He's a polished all around team player for freshman. The hype is real.
Damn I think I’m sold after those transition passing clips.
He's a good one! Thanks for checking out the video!

Amazing content. Subscribed. Where do you find these analytics like shot percentiles based on different areas of the floor?
Synergy is for specific shot percentiles

no way... hornet w brandon miller and melo would be unstoppable
Reminds me of Jeff Hornecek!!😂
Can he play pt
He reminds me of Austin Reaves.
reed gives me stockton meets curry vibes... the clear clear #1 in the draft imo -- u think he is gonna get worse at shooting in the nba? he is a lock

Reed still a role player.
More like Mike Bibby. 3rd option score first guard who plays off of stars.

Boggles my mind that he only scored 3 points in his last game

@@abitbohr The Pistons do have the very worst front office in history, yes.
