I bought the motherboard and it came bundlee with the Xeon CPU, it's an old PC but it's definitely going to be a big upgrade from my Inspiron 530 since even though it's almost fully maxed out it still lags behind

@@mxkdt 😀 oh really, thats neat, the t5500 & t7500 are supposedly better because the motherboard has additional chipset fan coolers, where the t3500 does not and is stripped, i dont know for sure if the t3500 mb will overheat if u install a 6c/12t x5690 in there, but supposedly x5690 works with all three t35 t55 t75 😎
T3500 only supports one processor and t5500 support dual processor if you can get one for 100 bucks that is good deal and reason i did buy because i got really good deal on them.
@@mxkdt 🙂 well my FreeGeek Thrift Store has three T3500 for $130 each, but i think a T55 would be better, so i will wait, no worrys i got too much stuff as is to work on, i just pu a PS3 & Xbox360 consoles to mess around with this Xmas from FreeGeek and i pu a few old game classics from them and some from fleabay yay✌️😏📀📀📀📀📀🎮

Hello, the best option I would say is the Intel Xeon x5675, it is 3.06GHz 12MB 6-Core 95W, I use a x5660, and the difference between stock cpu is night and day. (In a good way)
You can also easily overclock these cpu's to over 4 Ghz.. I could not tell you how people go about doing this, but I'm sure you wont regret your purchase if you do make it.
I will also say that on Amazon, the x5675 is 50 dollars renewed, while the x5660 is 30 dollars, renewed, there is not much difference in performance with these two, and I would recommend buying the x5660.
This is super helpful, and you seem to be the most knowledgeable person about this system on the internet. I have a few questions I hope you can answer.
A.) Can a t3600 take the same upgrades?
B.) Is the x5675 the most powerful xeon cpu that will work with this system?
C.) Would a GTX 1650 super work with this pc?
D.) And finally is the t3500 or t3600 compatible with aftermarket heat syncs?
T3600 has a Sandy Bridge E LGA 2011 CPU socket so no, It used completely different CPUs, cannot take the upgrade.
X5687 is the Best CPU it can use.
GTX 1650 Super will work fine with the standard 550W PSU, as it does have a 6 Pin so any version of 1650 is supported.
The CPU Cooler has standard LGA 1366 spacing, but instead of empty holes it has screw holes. So you cannot use other coolers unless they also screw in the same way.

@@IBRAHIM-gs6mb aftermarket coolers won't work, maybe an aio could but air coolers won't fit.
Best cpu for the t3500 is the X5690, but those are a bit pricey most places. The X5675 is usually a good price and if not then the X5670.

hey I'm unsure what you mean by cpu case. If you are talking about transferring the entire motherboard to a different case then you can use any BTX compatable case. hope this helps!

A17 before installing the new PCU x5675.

did you change the chipset radiator? And then the standard radiator can not cope and it turns out that the server bridge is hot.
The least you could have done is show that it works after the upgrade.
Mine currently has the W3530 processor. Maybe it's time to upgrade it.
Hi, yes you can upgrade to faster CPU like Intel Xeon X5675 or Intel Xeon CPU X5680 and make sure you have latest BIOS installed.

I'm running an X5680(6 core, 3.33 ghz) on the A17 bios. Best bang for the buck CPU for this system. Half the price the price of the higher clock speeds X5687, 90, 98 cpu's with 95% of the performance. Finding 24gb of compatible RAM is going to be the real cost of maxing out this system..

Alex de Leon slap a fan on the front or back of that heatsink and it should be good enough, though you will also need a 3 or 4 pin fan controller depending on the fan you put

Yes...it'll work. I decided on the X5687 for the 3.6 clock speed instead. Runs really well with 24gb of ram and an older GTX 670 FTW card. No issues gaming.
