This was brilliant. Though we didn’t talk about Defences to the defendant. But I think if you can prove that the alleged defaming material is actually true that’s a defence. My question then is what is the standard of proof required in justifying your claim?

I think 🤔 you are supposed to prove beyond reasonable doubt that what you said was not done out of ill intention to begin with and that the statement you indeed made was true from the beginning
