Grew up in Edmonton. Whyte Ave is one of my favorite areas of the city. So many unique stores, awesome restaurants & the bars are jumping. I love architecture and the buildings are outstanding. Beautifully restored & maintained. Thanks for the video. Great representation. Just wanted to add that my Great Grandparents had a house along Ada Boulevard overlooking the river. My Great Aunt lived in it until it unfortunately burned down. Ada Boulevard is a nice neighborhood too. Many amazing homes that way.

Funny. I was in Edmonton for a funeral this past July for the first time in more than 20 years and I rode a scooter past this very spot (and had no idea where I was!)
I'll be moving to Edmonton and likely be having a home near here soon. How busy does Whyte Ave get when trying to transit to the U of A during rush hours? I'd imagine transit times will be much longer?
It is pretty busy in the summer especially,but that is the vibrancy that makes it so neat. Traffic is busy during rush hour and Saturdays. The best experience is to walk the area to get around and see everything. It is a lifestyle for sure that residents that live close to the Avenue have had to embrace for sure. I live far enough away( 5 minute car ride or 10 minutes or less on the bus commuting N. on 109 st.) I think that it may not be for everyone but it’s still a fabulous area.

BTW can you suggest a neighborhood / suburb suitable for families to live, peaceful & closer to christian / catholic schools in Edmonton for a family who wish to migrate there by the end of this year. Try the area around 97 street and about 106 to 107 ave. Its really nice and great for Catholic families.
