Now tell me again who has their head up their ass? YOU Mr. Thacker.
rub one out rosie, LOL, come to Texas. We still make and ride in limousine Suburbans and Expeditions. And by that, I mean they really do have a stretched center body. I've seen one that was almost 45' long! My parents rode in one. My mom said she was very surprised that a Suburban limousine was actually much more comfortable than a regular one converted from a Lincoln Town Car or Cadillac Brougham.
A mint condition Cadillac limousine services car. Wow! everything looks brand new in the car interior. The engine looks brand new. Make America Great Again! 👍👍

The exquisite materials and craftsmanship are what make these old luxury cars such a pleasure! The plating, thick carpet, and soft leather. Modern cars are nice, but they leave something to be desired when you see one of these.
I've ridden in a Cadillac very similar to what this was based on and they felt like hovercrafts floating over the pavement. They were a b*tch to turn in the tight streets of San Francisco but they were very comfortable. My dad did not have the courage to take it down the notorious Lombard Street, which is almost impossible to navigate through unless you're driving a MINI Cooper...
Trump did not go to Cadillac. It was a partnership between Trump and Dillinger Gaines Coachworks. They were available to order by anyone. I’ve seen more than two of these for sale. I have several copies of the original brochure for these cars.
Awesome Limo! Super Chic with all the presidential pizzazz you'd expect! Great piece of history! Comfy looking seats, nice chromey wheels, cool features inside... total luxury! Love it, loved seeing it, neat looking museum full of fun happy stuff! Excellent vid! Thank you
Oh I love this car! I love the Cadillac's from the 1980's and early 1990's. I.love big old limosines Andi really love this one as it belongs to my president! Trump a outstanding idea for these cars! Love my president love this car! Thanks Lou another great find for us to see!!

Very nice! My first Cadillac, that I bought in '95, was an '88 Brougham. It wasn't quite as well equipped as that one, but it was a pretty nice car. It was black with a black, leather interior and a black, canvas, carriage-style top. It was a Presidential edition, of sorts as it had "Presidential" embroidered on the sail panel. It didn't have all of the bells and whistles, like it didn't have power, front seats, it didn't have a moon roof, and it didn't have the reading lamps on the inside of the sail panels, but it did have pretty much all of the other, standard amenities. It even had the gold package which meant that the hood ornament was gold-plated, the emblem on the trunk that covers the key-whole for the trunk was gold plated, there were gold-plated wreaths around the key-wholes on each front door as well as a bigger, gold-plated wreath around the emblem on the trunk, and it had gold pin striping. Unfortunately it got totaled in an accident in 2,000. I walked away from the accident without a scratch on me, but I can't say the same for the car. The front end was a mess. Thanks for sharing the video, Lou. That is a beautiful car. I like what they did with the head-lights and the grill. Anyway, thanks, again, Lou. :)

Nothing to do with this car in particular, but if you have a chance to visit the Volo Auto Museum it's a must! And plan to spend a lot of time because they have a huge number of cars and some you'll want to spend more time on to look closer. I hope to visit it again someday.
I'm a big Trump fan, but I think that would be a bad business move for Cadillac because Trumps brand would take away emphases on they're brand, and I can't see rich people wanting to ride around in car labeled with another rich persons brand, it would take emphases from them!! The fact that only 2 were built makes it waaaay more cool and rare anyway!! Great car congratulations!!
In the late 80s I worked for Trump Plaza Hotel Casino in Atlantic City, this car was displayed at the Atlantic City Car Show prior to being presented to Mr. Trump, it's nice to see the car again I'm glad it's being preserved.
The Trump editions were available through independent coach builders, Dillinger Gains being one of them, they are in the 1988 Cadillac Dealer Brochure, this car is one of 2 prototypes, many more were made through coach builders.
Excellent video Lou :) This Cadillac looks classier than the one Trump rides in today, its actually better looking than I thought. The black on black one that is in the UK has a tired interior. 1980's Cadillac's were always nice cars but this one is pretty cool, second to President Reagan's limousines!
James Peter in 1990 they put the 5.7 Chevrolet 350 in the Broughams and it makes for a super reliable and powerful car! Mine has 165k miles and still has power and smooth cruising! It's Definitely one of my favorite cars of all time!
Hi Johnny, I always liked the last of the line models. I almost purchased a grey on grey 1991 Brougham over here, but its history was sketchy so I didn't. I think they are one of the best looking cars of all time, unmistakable appearance, and elegance! My favorite color combination would be black paint, black vinyl roof, with that mid pale blue crushed velour interior trim or leather. Just like the presidential limousines were!
...Interesting Car & Video..Thanks.....Lou...I had a 1980 Fleetwood RWD with a 368 cu in engine that could barely get out of it's own way... a 307 in that heavy limo thing would always need to be going down hill to keep moving...but I loved my 80 Caddy....slow & gas guzzling as it was....thanks for your posts Lou.....they are always enjoyable....
Thanks for letting me know! I would have thought the 4.5 Cadillac V8 would have been a better option, maybe not. Even though the 4.5 and 4.9 were used in FWD applications, I know for certain the awful 4.1 was used in FWD and RWD applications.
Great car ,this is the car I saw him getting in and out of on the news begging New York bankers for money in 1990. No one in New York would help him, they knew he was a con man way back then.

Mike Lunn Probably didn't pony up the money to pay for any more than the 2 that were made. He said he would buy the first 50 and probably lied. Not the first time.
What the f- dude that is a perfect time capsule for that era. That's the car you make the big entrance with because you have lots of money and appearances are actually important. BOLD. And gaudy. As 80's as 80's can get.

Lou Costabile Thanks. Hope you guys display these cars in Boston soon. I missed the last New England car show but I’m hoping you may be at the next one next year.
My first cadi was a 97 catera...with all the fixings...rag roof chrome rims gold badges etc...moonroof...it was a beauty to own even in 2011...v6 was a powerful 3600 and it was fast...miss it kinda...though it was a lil costly to keep

I don't know if this is true or not but Trump tried with Mercedes-Benz first and they Told him they don't have time and if they did it would cost him way too much Only leaving him with enough for a tank of gas

@@Ihatemushrooms77 Ah I wondered about that myself. Next time someone asks in the Cadillac forum about changing a 4 headlight to something like a '90 Cadillac I'll have to remember to tell them to try using the headlights from a '88 Caprice. It looks like the chrome trim was modified also.
@@timw8228 yes the bezel middle piece has to be removed and from what I know and have seen the rear bucket behind the headlights (headerpanel) has to be modified to accommodate the one piece dual headlights
It will most certainly be interesting to see what the value of this vehicle will be in the future as a historical piece. Then again, I'm sure one offs are impossible to price without putting it in an auction.
I've heard both GM's and Trump's stories about why this project ended early, and to be honest, GM's sounds more plausible because it tracks with Trump's business methods and history.
This is not a Presidential Limousine as the commentator had stated, also, this is not a Cadillac factory made Limousine, it was converted at another company. Also a lot of Cadillacs had Gold keys...please get your facts correct guys!

Had an 89 Brougham deElegance. Beautiful car when Cadillac was THE STANDARD for the WORLD! This is definitely impressive 👏! But it has STANDARD Fleetwood upholstery! ☹️. Brougham deElegance had heavily tufted seats! 😊. But overall it's nice to see a vehicle almost as BIG as the Donald's EGO!!! 😉 😜
Appeared to have a Cadillac V8. Looking back on the video, I wish I would have spend more time under the hood, however with all the music from the other exhibits it was slightly challenging staying focused. Bottom line, you do the best you can, with what you have, to the best of your ability with the time you have.
Wow! I have only seen this on the CNN report in 1988, where the reporter rode around in it boasting the caddy that suited Trump’s needs.. Always remembered that report and wondered what became of the limo, I had an 1987 Brougham and appreciated this rwd model over all other caddy fleetwood models.
Hi Bill Schlembach, Glad you one gets a "Wow!" from you :-) Clearly that CNN report made and impression. I'm glad Brian and I are able to share this one with you so you can see this the car up close. Hope you see many more cars on the Channel you'll enjoy, Lou
I have simillar..litlle bit longer version, not trump but Renaissance in white color. I was looking for something about that sign "body by fisher" but found nothing about my car origins.
Dam! 😀this Bueatiful car made 1988? I thought 1978! I thought 1980 to 82.?? Was the last of these lovely big brutes.! Now it makes me wonder when the last of the Cadillacs were made! With big engines?
I don't care if you love him or hate him, this car is GORGEOUS!
Hi Max Power, Glad you think the car is "GORGEOUS" :-) Lou

To be fair, I dislike him overall, but Hillary may have been worse. Quite frankly, I was tempted to vote for Homer Simpson.
If it's anything like The Donald, it's fast, efficient, and has a LOUD horn. Very nice car for the period.
That's funny :-)

That's a beautiful car! I'm curious as to which engine is in this car for that year?
They were running the Oldsmobile 307 V8 with 4bbl carb. It was the most common engine on most large 80's GM cars.
Thanks for letting me know! I would have thought the 4.5 Cadillac V8 would have been a better option, maybe not. Even though the 4.5 and 4.9 were used in FWD applications, I know for certain the awful 4.1 was used in FWD and RWD applications.

Mike Lunn Trump backed out on his promise to buy the first 50 and nobody else would want a limo with Trump's name and that tacky gold trim on it.
HELLO FROM RUSSIA 👍🇺🇸😁
HELLO FROM USA
Lou Costabile Hi😁 I love big American cars
Then you have found the right RUclips Channel for you :-) Welcome!
Lou Costabile Thanks 🇺🇸= спасибо 🇷🇺😁
What the f- dude that is a perfect time capsule for that era. That's the car you make the big entrance with because you have lots of money and appearances are actually important. BOLD. And gaudy. As 80's as 80's can get.
Glad you enjoy this one Celestial Scripture. Thank you for viewing and sharing your thoughts, Lou
These 80s are better looking than today’s way better looking than a Bentley and Rolls Royce at that time
Glad you enjoy the looks of this one :-)
That is so awesome. Truly unique, elegant and beautiful. A great car by a great president.
Hi Adam, Happy to read you appreciate this car :-) Thank you for viewing, sharing and I believe you're going to see many more cars on this Channel you'll enjoy. Hope you Subscribe, and hit the "bell" so you can see all the cars when they are uploaded on this RUclips Channel, Lou
A very sharp and handsome vehicle. Great find . I wonder how it is driving a car of this size?
Hi Sandra Panico, Glad you enjoy the looks of this one :-) Would have liked to start this one and take it for a ride, however was in "display mode" at the Museum. Hope you see many more cars on the Channel you'll enjoy, Lou
Lou Costabile Thanks. Hope you guys display these cars in Boston soon. I missed the last New England car show but I’m hoping you may be at the next one next year.
Next show out East I'm going to is Ford Nationals @ Carlisle PA 6/1/18 & 6/2/18. If you go and see me, make sure you say hello.
Lou Costabile I’m going to be doing a craft fair that weekend so I won’t be able to make it. But I would go if I could.
Sounds like you're going to having a fun weekend too :-)
you should move the camera more slowly its hard to see stuff when its moving around so fast fyi...
Thank you for the tip Jeremy.
My first cadi was a 97 catera...with all the fixings...rag roof chrome rims gold badges etc...moonroof...it was a beauty to own even in 2011...v6 was a powerful 3600 and it was fast...miss it kinda...though it was a lil costly to keep
Hi el jefe, Thank you for viewing and sharing details of your 97 :-) Hope you see many more cars on the Channel you'll enjoy, Lou
Does it come with a Confederate flag?
I did not see one.
Didn't catch it in the video if it was mentioned forgive me... did Trump ever ride in or have photos taken with that car or other the other proto?
I don't have a photo of him in the car, and I'm not sure if he was ever in the car.
Yes you can see them here www.volocars.com/the-attraction/vehicles/14200/1988-cadillac-brougham
I legitimately worked on the 2nd one. Get at me. Its in the shop i work at. Its mint.

@@loucostabile THANK YOU FOR TALKI G BACK TO ME AND TO TALK BACK TO ME SO SOON
I AM SO GLAD. YOU AND YOUR WHOLE FAMILY TAKE CARE GOD KEEP YOU ALL SAFE STRONG GROW IN WEALTH.
What type of engine does this limousine have and does this limousine have power steering
V8 - yes
I don't know if this is true or not but Trump tried with Mercedes-Benz first and they Told him they don't have time and if they did it would cost him way too much Only leaving him with enough for a tank of gas
Thank you for viewing & sharing.
Legend will have it dubbed "Con Don Cadillac".
Thank you for viewing & sharing.
1988 model had composite headlights? It was not 4 headlights system?
those headlights are off of a Chevrolet Caprice late model- same year as the Cadillac 88
Hi Derek Natan, Thank you for viewing and sharing your knowledge. Hope you see many more cars on this RUclips Channel you enjoy. Please subscribe, and hit the "bell" so you can see all the cars when they are uploaded on this RUclips Channel, Lou
@@Ihatemushrooms77 I may just try that. I have an '86 I am going to have re-painted Thanks
I was distracted with the "Hakuna Matata"😂
That can happen :-)
Just like Trump himself. This Trump series Limousine is probably the only one in existence of it's kind by now.
Thank you for viewing & sharing.
It will most certainly be interesting to see what the value of this vehicle will be in the future as a historical piece. Then again, I'm sure one offs are impossible to price without putting it in an auction.
Hi Julian George, Thank you for viewing and commenting, Lou
Wow i want this Cadillac
Glad you enjoy this one :-)
its yuuuuge and ill tell ua this puppy is plush, very nice caddy. all the bells and whistles. The Don should be pimpin that in washington
Hi nike nights, Glad you enjoy this "plush" one :-) Hope you see many cars on the Channel you'll enjoy, Lou
I've heard both GM's and Trump's stories about why this project ended early, and to be honest, GM's sounds more plausible because it tracks with Trump's business methods and history.
Thank you for sharing.
Really good looking car, i wonder how much this would have cost in 1988?
Glad you enjoy the looks of this one Toon Nufc :-) Hope you see many more cars on the Channel you'll enjoy, Lou
very nice ,very nice indeed ,sad thing is I failed to see any of those aforementioned "comfort creatures " -I'm assuming they're in there somewhere ?
Hi Dan, Happy to read you enjoy this one. Thank you for viewing & sharing, Lou
This is not a Presidential Limousine as the commentator had stated, also, this is not a Cadillac factory made Limousine, it was converted at another company. Also a lot of Cadillacs had Gold keys...please get your facts correct guys!
Hi Todd, Thank you for viewing and sharing your knowledge. Hope you see many more cars on this RUclips Channel you enjoy. Please subscribe, and hit the "bell" so you can see all the cars when they are uploaded on this RUclips Channel, Lou
I wonder if the other one still exists
Hmmm, not sure.
HI RICK De, Happy to read this car brings back memories of your car :-) Thank you for viewing and sharing, Lou
chingon
Thank you CHON :-)
Wow that's very rare car back in the late 1980s
Hi Vincent Bruce, Glad this one receives a "Wow" from you :-) Lou
Only Donald Trump would think of something like this! He should have one for his own personal car.
Thank you for viewing & sharing.
Does it have V4-6-8 engine or an Oldsmobile diesel?
Appeared to have a Cadillac V8. Looking back on the video, I wish I would have spend more time under the hood, however with all the music from the other exhibits it was slightly challenging staying focused. Bottom line, you do the best you can, with what you have, to the best of your ability with the time you have.
>Mitchell Yardanoff: It appears to be the stock Olds 307 Cadillac was running that year.
All the Cadillac keys went gold at some point, not just the Trump edition. Although I am disappointed there's no gold toilet seat.
Thank you for viewing and sharing your knowledge.
No D'Elegance option? The option completely changes the car in my imo.
Thank you for viewing & sharing.
I have simillar..litlle bit longer version, not trump but Renaissance in white color. I was looking for something about that sign "body by fisher" but found nothing about my car origins.
Hi AutoSpecial, Glad you found one on the Channel you're familiar with. Thank you for viewing and sharing, Lou
I gave this video a Trump up. Er... I mean *thumb* up!
Glad you enjoy this one Ghostbusters3 :-)
It's not worth $0.25 . . . once they stamped "Trump" on it, they devalued it to $-0-
Hi Bledsoe Texas, Clearly this one is not for you :-( Hope you see many more cars on this RUclips Channel you'll enjoy :-) Lou
Awesome and hideous at the same time! ;) Great!!
Hope you see many more cars on the Channel you just enjoy :-)
I'm sure I will! ;)
Dam! 😀this Bueatiful car made 1988? I thought 1978! I thought 1980 to 82.?? Was the last of these lovely big brutes.! Now it makes me wonder when the last of the Cadillacs were made! With big engines?
Glad you enjoy this one Mark Ali-gilkes :-) Lou
