- Kalpitiya -As I invite myself to a fisherman's house right on the lagoon in Kalpitiya where it is not only known for its kite surfing but also famous for its dry fish.The finest dry fish in the island comes from Kalpitiya, So as my uncle wanted to check out some dry fish, I too join the 200+ km drive to this lesser know lagoon paradise. The white sand , wait will this be the next Philippines ?

Jeremy, I've always wondered how they dried fish my dad used to smoke it. I worked at an airport in Louisville Kentucky and there were many luggage full of dried fish when people would come home from Sri Lanka to the states. so that's why I was always curious and how they dried the fish, thank you for educating me always good to see you have a great week
