I hate lets players that are grown men that act like children. I tried to watch this guy called Gaming Beaver and he had the most inane laugh and was just loud and obnoxious constantly to the point you couldnt concentrate on what was happening.

I gotta be honest....if this game got the same treatment as some of the higher budgeted games (Unreal Engine, 4K, etc.), I really feel this would be a blockbuster. Even as it is now, it was really enjoyable. It has all the right elements of a good suspense/survival horror game. Well played!
I know this is a game, but damn. First time the dino shows up, all i kept stressing was how they didnt turn off flash light, and how the bottles kept clanging eachother with each of the dinos thud.
I almost had a heart attack when that static happens because the atmosphere was so good! You expect anything to happen and then static. Better than generic loud noise jump scares.

this game and setting would have done wonders for the Jurassic park franchise, and even a game set in the Jurassic Park scene with this genre would be epic. A story mode like Alien isolation.

Yeah this is great. One problem. Half the time I have no idea what's being said. Especially over garbled radio signals. Are there subtitles? I am hard of hearing, legitimately so it's frustrating trying to decipher what's being said at one point as I miss out on the rest of the dialogue.

I know this is just a game but i always wonder (because we (humans) didn't fully explore Earth) is there...somewhere in very remote place on land or ocean, living some kind of "extinct" animal(s). I always have that question when watching movies or games. I love history and anything about history and im very open-minded. Imagine, you go on very remote place and see new and unfamiliar animal. Im not explorer and i would never go alone or in team on remote places. Never. But...from my home i can have this kind of thoughts 😅 . Earth is a big place, after all 🌍 Also, great gameplay. I hate to play horror games, but i love to watch. Contradictory, but it is what it is xD This game is on discount on steam and i will try it, even though i hate to play horror games xD
Ofc, there are many "extinct" animals living on Earth, the best example are sharks, crocodiles, turtles and much more ocean wildlife. But if you ask about animal that didn't evolve or "change" as much, then the best example is Latimeria, a fish that was believed to be extinct but still swims in oceans. If u want to read more about animals like that just look up living fossils.
I think....if I'm remembering correctly...a place in Mexico(?) were some boys found a cave that apparently was the entrance of a forest that had its own biodiversity with unknown species. It was a big deal, like those waterways found in China. CAused a big stir and there had been rumors of a "secret" place like that found by others. It was just written off as a "urban legend." Now I have to go back and look it up myself.

But Dino Crisis was less Horror and more (kind of, but more action-like) Survival based gameplay. Oakwood is both survival and horror (more like suspenseful thriller, but you get the point). Don't get me wrong, I love Dino Crisis and would love to play it again if I had the hardware to, or if CAPCOM stops dicking around and, at the very least, remaster it for fuck's sake... They renewed the license for it a few years ago (or so) and all we heard on it was extremely vague "Yeah we wanna try making another one" or "it's about time to start sifting through or backlog of IPs we left to rot". And it went, quickly to, "Oh that IP? Nah we couldn't find a way to milk the wallets of our consum- I mean bring it to modern hardware... yeah. Totally." They dropped it when they realized Resident Evil remakes (reimaginings) would make them ungodly amounts of money over Dino Crisis. Why? Unlike Resident Evil, which is basically a household name in nearly every corner of the planet, Dino Crisis is only really a niche IP. i.e., won't make the money a single RE remake would make. Unfortunately, until CAPCOM drops the license, we won't see any kind of remaster or remake of Dino Crisis for a long time.
Subs must be something they patched in recently. saw a video from Fooster uploaded about 2 weeks ago and it had subs for the game, but I prefer no commentary horror so back to HGH I went.
So the story we got if we read the papers Palaeontologists found massive bone Ned’s in central British Columbia(love any story set in Canada 🇨🇦 love my nation getting a shoutout) it angered some First Nation man, whom put a curse on the land for revenge for others taking his land & Probably centuries of colonial exploitation. And lires other people to the land to keep the predators at bay. Though this backfired because the protagonist never closed the gate 😂 those Carnivore’s gonna rampage through the province.

First time in years that a dinosaur game has unnerved me.
