I come from a very loud, boisterous (Greek) family - when my husband and I got married, I chose to have a very small, intimate affair (immediate family only) We didn’t skimp on anything, but we kept the guest list to 75, had the ceremony & reception at the same location, and ONLY spent what we could comfortably afford. I personally just don’t understand people going into debt for something that lasts what, 4-6 hours?
One thing for sure, if you are part of a large family, the chances are high that sooner or later, someone won’t be able to make an event, it’s just a fact of life when a large family is navigating through things! ♥️
I feel Kody is most upset by the loss of control. He is now not privy to negotiations by tlc for the other 3 OG3, im sure that’s eating him up. Regarding Janelle, I do believe she was satisfied with her personal life with Kody but I’m almost sure it was once or twice a year. I don’t believe she had the same needs in that department as the others which is why their relationship was perceived as easy.
My husband and I were married in my aunt’s backyard. They had a small waterfall it was beautiful. My Grandfather’s 72 birthday was the same day. My aunt and uncle couldn’t have their own children to this day I LOVED my wedding. So now it’s been50 years together. Money is not important family is.

However after we got engaged I got a second job to help pay for it!!! 😂 My husband already owned his own house so that wasn't a concern.
I know that having a step parent can be a hard thing to get used to. I was just surprised that they couldn’t think of David as a step dad when they were raised with 3-4 moms. You don’t have to call him dad. But having a man there 24-7 that loves and respects your mom and you is a plus. I the culture that they were raised in didn’t have many examples of good dads.

I disagree. Big personalities make themselves the center of attention more often than not. Attention is called right back to them...they don't know how to read the room. They look for opportunities to insert themselves. Just like Mikelti does. People from super large families, in my experience, either talk super fast, eat super fast, and are either really loud or super quiet. It's wherever they fit in their family growing up. Mikelti is immature and hopefully will outgrow it.

I don’t know what legal standing the OG3 would have against Kody and Robyn. Since most of their relationships have been recorded they might have a chance to recover some of their money. It just seems so unfair that Janelle and Meri supported the family and paid the majority of the living expenses and now they’re being hung out to dry by Kody and Robyn. Robyn hasn’t contributed hardly anything and she’s got a huge house, with acres of land, and she feels entitled to 4 acres of Coyote Pass. Plus the family paid off her debt and are supporting her spending habits. She’s so selfish. Wedding cakes are expensive mainly because of the decorations people want on it. I use to make special event cakes .... went to many weddings where my gift to them was the cake as long as they paid for supplies. Hand sculpted flowers can take weeks to make depending on how many they want on the cake, together with intricate piping etc. I wanted to make my own wedding cake but my then fiance said no way girl your going to be too busy for that. LOL. It does take a lot of work for wedding cakes.
Also do you think that cristine wanted a bald man because she was tired of her man spending more time and money on his hair than their marriage. She was like “ like hell I’m gonna be in a relationship where my husband spends more time in the bathroom than I do”

As far as Kody and Robin being on the special, I don't think they should because I don't want to see them. However, I think it is important for any family involved to see. At least 2 kids watch and react. I am willing to bet others do too. Kody admits to being angry for three years but is confused that some of his family is invited. It escapes him that in the past 30 years that Christine has made connections with his family also and not just the kids. It still shows how he thinks. It also shows how Robin thinks with the trying to control what Kody is going to say. I heard her say after he didn't say anything horrible excusing her interrupting him by saying "I wasn't sure." My brother got my sister in-law pregnant, married at the post office. He said he had enough money for either a ring or a washing machine.

It just seems so unfair that Janelle and Meri supported the family and paid the majority of the living expenses and now they’re being hung out to dry by Kody and Robyn. Robyn hasn’t contributed hardly anything and she’s got a huge house, with acres of land, and she feels entitled to 4 acres of Coyote Pass. Plus the family paid off her debt and are supporting her spending habits. She’s so selfish. She claims to want to be a Sister Wife but what did she do to support Janelle when she was practically homeless? Nothing. And she tried to keep Meri hanging on even though she knew Kody didn’t want to be with her anymore. I think it was just for Meri’s money.
She couldn’t even raise her daughter’s better than to make snarky a$$ comments to Janelle’s daughter when they were looking at their RV.

Wedding cakes are expensive mainly because of the decorations people want on it. I use to make special event cakes .... went to many weddings where my gift to them was the cake as long as they paid for supplies. Hand sculpted flowers can take weeks to make depending on how many they want on the cake, together with intricate piping etc. I wanted to make my own wedding cake but my then fiance said no way girl your going to be too busy for that. LOL. It does take a lot of work for wedding cakes.
Also do you think that cristine wanted a bald man because she was tired of her man spending more time and money on his hair than their marriage. She was like “ like hell I’m gonna be in a relationship where my husband spends more time in the bathroom than I do”

As far as Kody and Robin being on the special, I don't think they should because I don't want to see them. However, I think it is important for any family involved to see. At least 2 kids watch and react. I am willing to bet others do too. Kody admits to being angry for three years but is confused that some of his family is invited. It escapes him that in the past 30 years that Christine has made connections with his family also and not just the kids. It still shows how he thinks. It also shows how Robin thinks with the trying to control what Kody is going to say. I heard her say after he didn't say anything horrible excusing her interrupting him by saying "I wasn't sure." It also shows her thinking with "I hope they CAN be happy."

To be fair, I think Mykelti deserved for her parents to help with the wedding. Mykelti didn’t go to college and we know (at least with the older kids like Logan and Leon) their college was paid for by the family. Also, all the kids were exploited on TV and never earned a wage. So if all Mykelti wanted was help with her wedding, I don’t think that’s an unreasonable ask.

James is correct that Janelle is/was sticking around longer because she had her finances more tied up in the “family” than Christine did, but that’s b/c Christine has been coming to terms with her marriage not being enough for a long time so she had been separating out her money JIC. Janelle thought she was content so she didn’t feel she needed to get herself an escape plan. Had janelle been less content in settling for what Kody bother to give her she would have planned for an escape route sooner. So Yes Janelle stayed longer than she wanted to b/c of the finances, but she also has not been mentally preparing to move on with her life as long a Christine either.
What’s crazy is I’m pretty sure Janelle told Christine to get her finances in order as far as her house so she should’ve known better!

Janelle was even the one who wanted the one big house, so it’s not even like she was just trying to get her house built ASAP so she would have that to sell. It just goes to show how abruptly Kody’s personality changed to make Janelle decide to leave despite not having to have been planning for it.
