I love the tear drop hood scoop so much I almost bought a big block three pedal Galaxie until I realized it wouldn't fit in my garage. That thing was a land yacht.
I had to come back and watch this video for some clips of the 67 Rambler at 0:43. Just saw it running at a drag strip here in Wisconsin today!! I also have a 67 Rambler but not as cool as that one!
Love it Ben. Good stuff! I know it doesn't quite jive with all the fast-paced editing, but your viewers that are into drag racing (like me), love to see the e.t.s these awesome cars run. So if you do this again next year, I'd encourage you to hang on several of the runs and finish on the e.t. board so we can see what the cars run.
Back in the late 80s, early 90s I worked in a street rod parts shop in western Canada. Fun job but most of the cars were bright silly colours and ran near stock engines. Everything was comfort. Leather, wool and A/C. Really great to see real hot rods prowling the streets and strips again.
My dad was almost 60 years old when I was born, he's been dead 6 years now [I was in my early twenties when he died] and one of his crowning glories as a greaser in the early 60s [Toronto] was a '55 chevy. Every once in awhile I look at all the photos of his beautiful cars and remember all the stories he told me. One time, at a book store, he was reading a rod book and found a picture of him and a friend! The friend was talking about when he had a specific rod and dad told us about how he stole the baby moons for it lol. He never got to restore hid old '29 model A Ford tudor, he got sick and couldn't do anything with cars anymore [it had to be excruciating for him]. I remember the beautiful mahogany steering wheel he bought for it. He used to take it out every once in awhile and look at it. Still breaks my heart thinking about it. Him just looking at the pieces of the car when he was ill. When the car was last fixed up, the entire underneath the car was chrome. An old man passed the car, scoffed and assumed it was nickel, my dad griped about that until he died lol
Excellent event coverage. Thank you. As someone living in the Midwest, I appreciate good videos like this that allow me to see a great vintage rod show that I'd miss out on otherwise.
I've never had the nerve to get into an open tub and race. Although that experience of just you and the smoke/oil/wind all over you has to be incredible LOL.
My almost 8yr old just showed me this. Why is it that you’re not monetized by youtube? I hope that has changed brother. Keep up the awesome videos! 🙏🏼🇨🇦⚓️
You do great work, I watch ever y vid at least once....and share them. I wish I could join but 3 of my 5 hobby cars are down right now so just not possible to do monthly......maybe a shirt or two. Keep at it Ben....it will pay off somehow thx
I'm betting that 32 full-rendered rod is owned by Jack Lemons (makes high-quality aftermarket headers) or a family member of his. Killer looking small block (tunnel ram with nitrous!). Did you remember any e.t.s it ran? Gotta be in the deep 6s. Looks like he's got an awesome tow rig to round out the package.
The Red 65 GTO/Tempest with the straight axle and 'injection' stacks is a friend of mine... He and his brother are the Gasser Bro's. Super cool video Ben.

I would be more down to do that but my lens doesn’t zoom in that far😂
@@FourSpeedFilms No need for a fancy zoom lens. The boards at Irwindale are very legible. The shot at 1:27 is perfect for seeing e.t.s.
@@FourSpeedFilms Could see it just fine.
Great content!
Thanks!

A surf shop in Carpinteria
How does RUclips not pay you?!?!? 😅 There’s no way you produce top quality videos.
My videos are on the shorter end and do not have as many ads. If I could post my style vids daily I would make decent money. Thanks!
@@FourSpeedFilms We’ll thank you for you’re hard work bro been a subscriber for a few years always love watching you’re content.
