He is just legendary, his playing makes me sit and stare and admire how much of a god he is. Once corona is over, i really wanna meet him, it would honestly be a dream come true because i have been watching and partially learning from his youtube videos for around 5 years now.
It's nice to see the more human-sounding version of Maisky's recordings. His other more popular one on RUclips is just too perfect, although amazing to listen to. This one is all the more impressive knowing that it's live. Thanks for uploading.
Wait, are you really pointing out a slight imperfection that lasting the length of an eighth note? Are you really doing that? lol what about all the other imperfections, why didn't you point out any before that? Is it because that is the first one you noticed, and you were so happy with yourself that you found one so you felt the need to comment about it?
A single eighth note sounded off to you? Are you for real? I feel sorry this is how you feel the need listen to music. You are completely missing the point. On top of that, there was no mistake, it is possibly a personal interpretation. In any case, there were many eighth notes before this one that were imperfect, why did you not mention those? Is it because you didn't notice them?
My very least favorite cellist in the world. He's like a ball of stress... young and old, he never changed. depressing... and some serious intonation issues his whole career... admittedly this one not as bad, minus the obvious foul ups.
forcommenting while I respect him I agree he is far from my favorite cellist. I’ve also noticed that he very frequently has intonation issues... such a shame
@@SeaRasp Yes. Ugh, yes and I do, unfortunately (!) recall hearing that Faure Elegie he did with his daughter. Truly God-awful. I feel like his whole life he's been the Emperor from The Emperor's New Clothes. Why will no one tell him? lol.. so weird... and embarrassing.
@@brianeasterling500 Yes, in fact, I can, have and do. But that wasn't my point. Professional musicians don't critique other professionals with the idea that we can or can't do better. If I didn't play at all, or if I played horribly, that has nothing to do with my opinion of Maisky's playing or any other musician.
His execution of the prélude triplets is beyond perfect

Indeed his recording is god-like. Really the best interpretation of the piece (prelude) I've heard, along with JIan Wang and Heinrich Schiff.
I think the recording equipment is just not great. Everything sounds kinda flat and deflated, likely to do with the recording
Gavotte 1 & 2- 26:35
O melhor👏👏
Magnifique, merci. ❤
second time watching and listening gave me the enjoyment of living on this world, not only itself but forever. Thanks again.
6:05 Allemande
Adoro a interpretação desse grande violoncelista!!!
Realmente é fantástico!
I really envied the audience of 2017, cause of restred infection, watching the video, splendid performance as if being in the Heaven. Thanks!
la chemise est d'époque ! vintage !
Bravo
0:27 starts
Nobody else heard him messing up starting around 30:00 min. and playing it off like riffing? Still wonderful though.
You're right, but it's really solid as an interpretation given the difficulty of this suite, it's quite an order ...
he did trip, I heard, and came out of my bathroom to check back yikes!

the perfection itself!!
NICE.
30:04, for the first time , maybe, Mischa tripped.

BRAVO🇧🇷
What Pirates of the Caribbeans movie is this?
Life.
4:37
Close to 40 minutes of playing. He must have practised all his life
It becomes second nature, like speaking a native language
Sorry but Yo-Yo Ma's interpretation is the best.
I don't think so, for me the best is Jean Guilhem Queyras
Then you can listen to that one alone till you die. Enjoy, while I'll be over here listening to the music of the world.
@@rousseauchristine4605 His version is amazing too! Thanks.

Good and bad are extremely subjective terms.
