I'm not convinced that Amy Acker is really human. I think she's the result of a science experiment to create the most adorable sentient being in the universe.
Too bad we never got the Firefly episode where these three guested as a traveling Elizabethan acting troupe. That would have been so shiny. And in case you're wondering, yes, that was Joss' plan had Firefly not been canceled. I want to live in *that* alternate reality. Though that might also be the world without shrimp (I love shrimp).
@alexthelizardking This was not in an episode, but was the screen test for the actress who played Fred. This scene can be found on the season 3 dvd set.
@@douglasdaniel4504 Yes. I take it you mean that as a compliment, but I'm starting to wonder if I'm right about them really wanting her to be dowdy. Others might remember it better than I do, but I'm starting to think that as the series went on she was more and more portrayed as being very pretty or beautiful. The type of clothes she wore changed too. More likely, perhaps, is that early on they wanted to suggest Fred's time in the hell dimension had diminished her confidence to the point she didn't recognise her own beauty?
When I first watched this show through, how the hell did I never notice how amazingly beautiful Amy Acker is? Her performance as Fred was wonderful but it really kicked up a notch when she became Illyria - she and Wesley were TV gold together.
This rules...why didn't they use this in the actual show?? Anything to make the Buffyverse more Shakespearean is good by me!! (plus I'm a total sucker for AMND)
"truly she is a vision!" "one you'll watch from afar for she shall be mine!" "say you so!?" lol. my favorite scene in angel all together i think. haha would have loved to have seen this in an episode.
I miss Angel. And hot Fred. She really did nail down that sexy librarian look. I will say Miss Acker does seem to be on a lot of canceled shows: Angel, No ordinary family, alias, person of interest. Maybe she's cursed?
All shows get cancelled eventually. She was on Dollhouse and one other that were cancelled prematurely. I've never heard of "No ordinary Family" but the others you mention did OK. Three or four seasons is par, isn't it. The Gifted (Acker's role in that wastes her) is not doing well and will probably be cancelled after two seasons, but good shows often don't do well in the ratings. Acker has had a recurring role in "Suits", one episode or more it MacGyver, CSI, The Good Wife, Agents of Shield, CSI, Supernatural, Grey's Anatomy and about 15 others. Apart from Angel and Person of Interest, it's true she hasn't had many great roles, but she is very much in demand for guest and recurring roles.
But what about my damask...bosoms? Don't you wanna? I hate magic. And then when Wes is like 'let it NEVER be broken!' and I'm like, 'just fuck, you two'. #GunnlishOTP
LOL That must have been fun to do-and hard to keep a straight face! Amy Acker's acting ability cannot be described when she transitioned into Allyria. Her Texan accent annoyed me but I was glad to see it fade away after a handful of episodes.
@electricspacegirl Vincent Kartheiser drives me nuts. His annoyingness radiates through the screen scene by scene. It's a problem in Mad Men too... except in Mad Men it really kinda suits the character. Luckily for him.

I'm not convinced that Amy Acker is really human.

Agreed! I’ve met her twice and both times she was so patient and kind with me as I stammered like a pathetic fangirl.
- Now you truly are, perfection!
- Wheras you are slightly fuzzy now, can I have those back?
Gets me everytime
I'm still just here crying in a corner over how cute Fred is
How each of them could do this while keeping a straight face is beyond me.
"Your friend with the giganimous boobs." I'm assuming she means Cordy. They really, really should have used that line in the show.
I would have preferred "your friend with the big bazungas" as would we all. Make sure Bo$$ knows this for his next show mmmk?
And thus, Much Ado About Nothing was born.
Well... now I've got to rewatch all of Angel. This brought back the feels.
She's so precious

😮
I'd pay to see this as a full episode.
You still can hear her slight Texas accent here.
"Slight"? xD
grim reefa why you mad bro
both of them were right in something that is truly Amy Acker on of the most beautiful creatures in the World
This cracks me up every time I watch it. Amy Acker was really great as Fred. Thanks for posting!
Definitely goddessy, Amy. Fred. Definitely.
Damn, Amy Acker has done a lot to shed her Texas accent, since this role!
Well, maybe, but Fred was Texan so she had no reason to hide it.
WESLEY: Now you *truly* are... [removes glasses] perfection.
FRED: Whereas you are slightly fuzzy, now. Can I have those back?
ROFL
"My rapier shall answer that!" You dirty boy, Wesley.
If they don't want her, let me have her!!
My favorite thing in the world EVER. Amy Acker is so adorkable!
@alexthelizardking This was not in an episode, but was the screen test for the actress who played Fred. This scene can be found on the season 3 dvd set.
1:54 "Pretend' that she's all pretty and goddessy? Who has to pretend?
I think Fred was supposed to be dowdy. One aspect of the role Amy didn't pull off?
@@stuartduncan4577 Well, if that's what they wanted they picked the wrong woman-- even Amy's not that good an actress...

"Did you just say"thou"?"X°°°-DDD ROFL!!!She's so cute!X-3 #IHateMagic
"Y'all are talking Elizabethan crazy talk."
"Have I fallen asleep?" has just gotten way funnier in hindsight.
This rules...why didn't they use this in the actual show?? Anything to make the Buffyverse more Shakespearean is good by me!! (plus I'm a total sucker for AMND)
Does anyone else feel this might have been the original plan for the episode "Billy"?
How? 🤔
Amy looks gorgeous!
Don't really remember much of the show that much since TNT stopped rerunning it, but I did remember how these 2 were crazy for her.
This would have been a hilarious episode.
"damask bosoms"!! That line reading was all Amy's - never change, Ms Acker
Step away from the bosoms! That is a no on the bosoms!
Amy looks pretty!
Please, please, please upload the bus station scene where Fred says she just calculates Pi to relax. I think it's from Fredless, s. 3.
This is probably how they decided to make "Much Adu"
She is perfection! But I'm just a guy.
Just got to meet these two. I am on cloud nine. Charisma and Mercedes too. They are all fabulous. Praise the Vampire Ball. Starfury Events.
@Exayevie This was Amy Acker's screen test. It wasn't in an Angel episode. It's an extra on the season 3 DVD set.
step AWAY from the bosoms! that is a NO on the bosoms! *falls off my bed laughing*
This. Is. Awesome.
This looks like a Season 2 Screen Test.
And thus is foreshadowed Wesley and Gunn's entire relationship from seasons 3-5...
"truly she is a vision!"
"one you'll watch from afar for she shall be mine!"
"say you so!?"
lol. my favorite scene in angel all together i think. haha would have loved to have seen this in an episode.
when the guy takes off her glasses, I was surprised at how beautiful she was
I hope you're being sarcastic
@ OP, it hit me pretty hard too.
Someone was clearly planning far in advance.
I miss Angel. And hot Fred. She really did nail down that sexy librarian look. I will say Miss Acker does seem to be on a lot of canceled shows: Angel, No ordinary family, alias, person of interest. Maybe she's cursed?
I was starting to think that too. She's one of my favorite actresses but she might be a jinx!
Sask RuffRiders I miss her accent as the show went on
She can't be THAT cursed. She was on an episode of How I Met Your Mother during its first season, and The Gifted is doing okay so far.
And she did an episode of Supernatural in S1. Now on season 14.
All shows get cancelled eventually. She was on Dollhouse and one other that were cancelled prematurely. I've never heard of "No ordinary Family" but the others you mention did OK. Wow, this puts Shakespeare to shame. : D
DAT. ACCENT.
I love Amy Acker
I wished they had put this in a episode or made center lining on this plot
As of this day, Cordelia will be referred to as "The Girl with the Gigantimous Boobs"
if only this were a real episode
god I lover her
Does anyone else feel like this is from a lost episode from Angel snd I want to see the whole thing right now!
The goddess thingy seems a bit...nasty...considering season five...
oh god I love it!
But what about my damask...bosoms? Don't you wanna? I hate magic.
And then when Wes is like 'let it NEVER be broken!' and I'm like, 'just fuck, you two'. #GunnlishOTP
My Stomach Hurts from laughing so hard LOL!!!
Poor Amy...
hahahaha that was great... hahahaha
@kribiboy There's also the Vincent Kartheiser screen test you can find on you tube.
electricspacegirl why would you want to though?
Isn't she the best?
I want to be the librarian now.
LOLZ
This would have been a great ep

hilarious. ..lol
@Exayevie It's not an ep
it's a screen test.
Don't blame Wes for what he did, would of done the same thing wit her glasses
@electricspacegirl Vincent Kartheiser drives me nuts. His annoyingness radiates through the screen scene by scene. It's a problem in Mad Men too... except in Mad Men it really kinda suits the character. Luckily for him.
Was this every actually on the show. If so, what episode?
Amy wants to say nice things about me!
please tell me they put this in an episode
Unfortunately not, but most of the show is comparably funny and clever.
is this a deleted scene?
For a little while.
what episode PLEASE?
What does "MmD" mean in this context?
