I really do wish Levelhike would adjust the brightness and contrast on these boxes. you will notice in certain games how bad colors like white, blue and red look because of the saturation. games that have dark location will also look bad because the cable is making things look darker than they should actually be which an harm the experience. The Genesis/Megadrive suffers even more than the Saturn when it comes to that since certain games can really get too bright and dark depending on the backgrounds the games are using. I even made a video using Space Harrier to show how bad it can get because Levelhike won't fix the problem even though I pointed it out to them. 😔
Definitely a huge upgrade from composite from the look of it, but how bad is the lag? Every cheap solution uses poor scaling which interlaces then deinterlaces the image causing 5+ frames of lag. Rad2x cable is the way to go for cleaner image and no lag, if you don’t want to spend money on a true scaler :)

Hello there! Nice video. I'm thinking about getting one of these cheap alternatives for my saturn mainly because of the input lag I seem to get when using my modern TV, (I don't have the space to use a CRT monitor) but I'm not quite sure if getting this adaptor will solve that.
@@RedRanger2001 That's because the cable is using the consoles RGB signal to display the image over hdmi. Just like with S-video the RGB signal will do what you mentioned.
I also have a white japanese one. The best looking for sure. Was able to snag one already clean and white.

Unfortunately level hike has stopped production of these just very recently, so I am looking for an alternative to stock atm
