And sure some shots he made there’s nothing you could do, but a lot of them you got cooked respectfully. You not losing support, can’t wait to see what improvements you make.

I can tell them wins gonna start flowing for B Ellis, only a matter of time. Even in this loss and other losses, it’s little things that cost the game, never major weaknesses. It’s more so that he’s really a 5v5 player trying to get acclimated to the dynamics of 1v1 play in different scenarios (every 1v1 setting is different). But from watching the games, I can see that he’s quickly adapting, learning from the losses and applying the lessons in the next performance. Once that switch turns on and he’s fully adjusted, it’s gonna be a wrap for a lot of these niggas. I’m telling you. Y’all clowning now but just wait and see. ✌🏾

I feel like the main problems in these 1v1s is that B keeps settling for jumpers. I understand that you trust and work on your shot but after 3 misses I need you to go hard down hill for at least 1 play. The mentality of shooters gonna shoot is needed in a team setting so another team can't trap your teammates because they know you won't shoot. But in 1s you have to take on the defensive and offensive load alone. By settling he letting his opponents chill on defense and then they driving straight into his chest on offense which tires him out. Which leads to weak legs on his jumpers which equals settling because you'll miss more often and get in your own head. I understand the principle of if they hand down then shoot it but eventually you have to switch it up. People always think about kobe mentality to always shoot but seem to forget that because of this mentality he did have some games where he put up absolute stinkers. The results in these 1s is evidence enough that B can't keep settling otherwise he'll keep losing. I need next 1v1 to see 2 hard down hill attacks and a pull middy as the first 3 possessions B gets. Then throw a jab tre ball in.
It’s such a huge difference how you play in your north side gym vs anywhere else. Once you start bringing that same energy and bag to outside and other 1v1s you gone be unstoppable. You way too tuff to be losing B. But keep playing and going to 1v1 events and challenge yourself cause eventually you gone go on a streak you just gotta tap in

I see you sparing with Mike and Dev but if you’ll allow me to be honest, to get prepared for this, the sparing needs to be a lot more physical and “dirty”, for lack of a better description. Preferably against someone who is taller and longer than you. That will get you even more accustom to getting tough buckets. You can’t replicate the environment for the mental part but if you are used to getting tough buckets against oversized defenders, games against people more similar in size will feel more comfortable no matter the setting.
