These airlines need to be giving more people the opportunities to get these "lifetime" passes. Such a cool segment and amazing opportunity for this man. Thank you ABC News!
I once calculated the carbon footprint of flying commercial airlines and as a result estimated that it comes out to be about half if the miles were driven with a small size passenger car. Environmentalists should definitely take a note of that and lead by example instead of just talking what other people should do.
@@davediamond7228 Yes, probably. We need to be responsible stewards of the planet. The forests in Canada are burning because spring is coming too soon. Each of us needs to do our part.
@@davediamond7228 let's connect some dots. If he flew 23 MILLION miles, a trip from Toronto to London is 3,547 miles that means he could have flown to England first class on-way 6484 TIMES and a typical 747 has 14 first class seats that means he would have taken the ENTIRE first class 463 times. ONE first class seat has double the carbon footprint of an economy seat. Terrifying.
That would gas would have been consumed regardless. He's flying on commercial flights-- if he was flying on a private jet, you and the other commenter complaining would have a point.
@@fabreasy304 airlines have a HUGE carbon footprint. It is abuse of our planet. So the airlines can go out of business? makes sense.
you speak like you could pay for that
No
Yeah the average person just has 300k lying around
They don’t offer those anymore.
Can't believe United still honors the pass. I've had quite a few "lifetime" passes that got cancelled for dubious reasons.
You had “quite a few”? What are you, a multimillionaire?
@@visax8550 Not for United Airlines. For other companies.
I love this guy
This is definitely worth a blockbuster hollywood movie 👍🤞
They already made it. It is called “Up In the Air”, with George Clooney.
I need this great job for him
a legend already
Book a cab?... Nah, maybe I'll take the next flight ✈️
This is my dream
Goddamnit I wish I lived at a time when you could buy these 😭😭
you wouldnt have had the money. You don't even have the money now.

$510,000 back in the 80’s. Doesn’t seem like that great of a deal and you’re flying United lol
He has flown 23 million miles in first class. that's like flying around the world over 400 times. Jules Verne would be proud of him.
2.1 light minutes
An IG "models" goal is to get w him 😂

Good thing that fellow has terrific nostrils.
Of course it's 23 million miles lol 😂😂😂😂 these people smh

like you should when you drive your car or use your fireplace...or bbq ?
