15:01 I remember one of my first runs where I decided to path through elites, gremlin nob dropped the gremlin horn and legauvulin dropped fossilized helix. It took me a few more runs to figure out that the relics from elites are in fact random and not tied to the elite
This fight reminds me of the one time I got 2 meteor showers into a fusion and a double energy and zap+ then multicast. Nemesis was intangible, I just had like 60 energy or something actually stupid.
When one of the Neoh options is "remove 2" that feels like a way of getting a boss swap (empty cage) and then buying the original starting relic for whatever the cost is (in this case all the gold, but it might be the cost of some max HP for example).
Remove 2 is generally a good thing, except when fighting enemies that put statuses in your hand. 2/3 of the Act 1 bosses flood your deck with status cards, making it less consistent than you might think. It also makes sentries harder.
Remove 2 start is just asking to die to sentries and slime boss. Your deck doesn’t improve much at all removing cards at the very start of the run, but it can be a great option when you have good cards after the act 1 or 2 boss.
@@adams3627eh. Physical Defect just leans harder towards other ones, specifically the plasma and 0-cost synergies. Sure it ignores focus and 3/4 orbs, but it still feels like Defect doing Defect things.
just watch your video and got inspired, open the game and choose boss relic swap(which I normally never do), got runic dome into snecko eye with a meteor strike, finally got an infinite with All for One + Hologram to finish the heart on A18. Thank you Baalor

Ah, I love Reprogram decks, they're a really fun alternative playstyle to the normal Defect gameplan, lets you really play with the rest of it's toolkit.
interaction with the speed potion - the speed potion's effect of giving you +5 dex until end of turn is implemented by giving you +5 dex, then a debuff which removes 5 dex at end of turn. If you have artifact, that debuff is blocked so you get +5 dex and get to keep it. (flex pot works the same way)
Nuclear Battery is just hands down better than Cracked Core, no caveats. At worst, it means there's a turn whether extra energy doesn't matter (drawing a bunch of defends on a turn whether the enemy is not attacking). But generally those turns would have sucked regardless, where either 3 or 8 extra damage wouldn't be a game changer. It's a no downside energy relic that situationally is even better than all the other ones.

nice opinion. ha, nerd! I bet u are cool to have conversations with, due to your ability to view the world with a different perspective than others.
that being said, empty cage isn’t the greatest thing you can get from boss swap.

I love Nuclear Battery swaps, it lets me lean towards physical Defect decks, using cards like Reprogram I don't get to play with often enough.
Yeah, I find I need a nudge to start playing Defect that way; it's scary playing it with cards that deemphasize their signature mechanics

Baalor, I love your slow & methodical playstyle. It's supremely helpful for understanding what's going on.

Too many cards costing zero in the discard pile nearly costing you an infinite during the transient is a hilarious predicament
the thumbnails and titles of the video give off a very different energy to the calm and methodical playstyle of Baalor
This deck is ridiculous he hasn't lost hp since like mid act 2

The first reptomancer fight with the zero cost hyperbeam was hilariously absurd.
The amount of low cost hyper beams has me very jealous. Great video!
Man that heart fight was just nasty, going infinite every turn
What a dream run. Frost fogus can get kinda sleepy, but this was endlessly entertaining
The equilibrium letting you save holo and afo from getting discarded and reshuffled so you could guarantee another infinite turn was hilarious
Nice one, infinite defense, strength, energy, retain and potentially dexterity. Doesn't sound too bad.
That was the strongest -ve focus deck I've seen in a long time. ggwp
In this episode, Defect takes "Be energetic" a *BIT* too seriously.
wow 5 energy relics in a row
