well i think this genre is about melodic and relaxing energy and trance is more powerful melodic and energy... that's just my opinion, cheers.
also, trance can sometimes have a faster bpm.

Progressive House has a more subtle melody and tone while Trance is more upbeat with higher BPM and more aggressive melodic synths and kicks ;)
