- I couldn't find this anywhere, so I'll just upload it.
I love this track a lot, probably my favorite one out the the entire game.
Edit: The real title of this track is "Freedom and Security" - Кино
That depressing last palace theme when you got depressed because the game is ending
Thiago Martins so true
The whole palace was depressing as fuck
This theme is awesome
The palace is so boring but I didn't want it to end haha
The next Persona game should let you stay as a transfer student for 2 years
@Digbick looks like you guys got what you wanted
Akechi: Hey Joker, Im gonna kill you now.
Joker: For some reason, my bond with Akechi has grown deeper.
Akechi: BANG!
Joker: *Dies*
Yeah...no please
Maybe it’s like the little bit of fog of lies were violently ripped away. The realization of one’s true nature, and the truth helps you understand him better.
Joker: I sense Akechi's determination, my bond with Akechi has grown deeper
Kinda sad theu took ot out in Royal
When I got to this part, I thought the game was tricking me for some reason, so I ended up selling my friends. Even though the ending was bad, I'm glad I saw it, it gave me more reason to kick that person's ass...

Akechi? More like asskechi!
akechi pls be alive I miss you so much and I almost cry when you do the thing in a particular ship
@@inktouhou from what weve seen so far it seems that in p5 royal akechi survives and becomes a permanent party member (using loki and his true outfit)
This song makes me feel like i am at the end of a really long journey, which honestly is persona 5.
True that, but then there's the extra semester in royal
@@nkirmath9573 Even so, it still feels that way
this game was about the journey AND the destination
I have honestly never felt so shocked, disappointed and afraid towards a video game character - no, ANYONE in my life. Hearing this music after the Bad End was so disheartening, too. Glad I did it though.
I still love Akechi though.
This game has so many layers, man... like pancakes.
emily storey Layer cake
emily storey It's easily the best JRPG since FF9, best Persona game imo.
I was speechless
Excuse me but... I thought I heard something about delicious pancakes...
I hate Akechi just because he is a Poor's man Adachi.
this music gives me a "headache"
Underrated comment.
Same here, I feel a lot of "pain" in my forehead.
Yeah almost like if "something" just went through your head
*sigh* why dont you use your "brain"
I was actually impressed that this game managed to disturb me with this level. It gave me the impression that I was actually in hell (and I don't get disturbed easily.) The people living in cages while veins sucked blood out of their heads, while living without free will and indulging in laziness as the world around them fell apart to a malevolent god. Not because they were forced, but simply because they thought they wanted too. Now that's evil.
the "good" ending disturbed me so badly; its pitiful knowing that in reality THAT is how Japanese people think; they think politicians are the uttermost correct and they have nothing to worry about. this theme really hits me hard and im so uncomfortable lmao
and that sad reality is that its pretty accurate to japan nowadays; they believe politicians are the uttermost good and they don't need to worry; whatever they do is the best...
thats the biggest message this game has, and its biggest theme.
Not a malevolent god, but satan himself rules this world so whilst we sit and indulge in laziness , the world becomes more and more corrupt.. accept god and jesus into your life for the TRUTH sets you free! Free from the hell prison we belong to with id numbers and watchlists.
@Celly Milton I've played this and p5royal its pretty obvious to see that the deeper meaning implies it is satan not Jesus the Christ. If you only look surface deep on these things you miss quite a lot. I suggest you replay the game actually read the dialogue and study the shin Magami tensei series history. Come back once you have re evaluated your opinion.
@Celly Milton Furthermore if you have not studied such topics then you are speaking from a lack of knowledge on the topic. So please if there is nothing else then stop now.
I sold my friends out the first time, just to see if I COULD, and I was not disappointed. gg Atlus, haven't had to cover my mouth out of surprise because of a twist since Silent Hill 2.
I never missed a deadline... that is why I am very clueless of joker's brain being blasted out.
Nai Zurc if you're still playing the game, don't tread on those grounds
I thought I could trust Sae, so maybe she'd pull some tricks or something. Instead, I get the bad ending. Oh well
Same I thought I was being riggamaroled
Heheh. I sold my friends out because they weren't useful anymore. A real thief oughtta be a realist, and the reality is the "phantom thieves" shtick has run its course. It was fun while it lasted, but they were nothing but small fry and hangers-on. Now, brainwashing people en masse, that's real power. I'll take that over a posse of adolescents any day.
I got the bad ending simply cause I thought the game was tricking me with an obvious choice like "you didn't sell your friends out, so now their souls belong to me cause you are denying their involvement!" or something like that.. turns out I was overthinking things lol
Raging Raving I got on the path to the true ending, how do you get a bad ending?
it's when Sae asks you do you know you accomplices, if you say yes she leaves to file the report too early so the Killer comes in before you give her the phone and he shoots you in the head, there's also another "bad" ending near the end of the game that relied on a choice from the main villain.
Me too
SNITCH
I got the bad ending twice
the thought of everyone being trapped in the velvet room for eternity is so evil and depressing i seriously have felt so much because of this game
"I feel like I failed to accomplish something important." *BANG*
I’m pretty sure this song is called ‘Freedom and Security’ . It’s a really good song and fits the area of the game
HanaZura I'm pretty sure the description mentions that.
No Future I realised that after I placed the comment
HanaZura Oh. No problem
"Freedom and Security"
Now that reminds me a lot of when Palpatine give his speech to create the Empire at the end of ROTS. eerie
freedom and peace according to spotify
One of my favourite parts of the game was discovering that there are actually two bad endings. Selling out your friends and taking THAT deal. Good stuff.
????
@@ChiefMedicPururu To which bit?
You can sell out the Phantom Thieves??
ChiefMedicPururu Yup, if during Sae's interrogation you opt to reveal your friends you get a bad ending. Similarly if you take Yaldy's deal you get another bad ending.
On royal theres like 7 more endings
Worst thing about the palace wasn't even the Puzzle, it was the constant text box interruptions over-explaining how it works, yes im aware of panel's that switch colour when you step on them Futaba, you don't need to tell me 5 times
Raging Raving I'm pretty sure it's the lack of Safe Room which makes this palace the worst.
@@OmegaMan346 a year late but when I did this palace.I accidentally passed 2 safe rooms.
There should be a way to disable non battle tutorials. I don't need damn color puzzles explained to me
Even tho I'm at easy, I'm still lvl 63...
they made it easier to get the true ending this time.
I doubt anyone got the bad end unintentionaly.
shadowthelegend100 ...
Actually... I did get that unintentionaly. It's not like I wanted to sell them out, but I guess I just believed in Sae a bit too early.
It is way easier than P4 tho.
Eress Pretty sure they're talking about when you get the option to sell out your friends at the end of the game, not during the interrogation.
MiniJoda My bad. I'm still stuck on Yaldabaoth battle, so I wouldn't know there are even moar chances of getting bad end.
Eress The other bad ending is making the deal with fake Igor, which is before Yaldabaoth. I'm in the same boat since I sold out my friends too in the interrogation room.
On my first playthrough, I didn't sell out my friends. I went straight for the true ending. Once I got to this dungeon I got hit with the major feels, the fact that everyone is going to the heart of the world's distortion and erasing the Metaverse really got to me.
THAT'S WHAT YOU GET FOR SELLING OUT YOUR FRIENDS
what
@@glfuflcijojukblb1720 if you sell your friends out to Sae Nijima you'll get the bad ending, and this will play.
it's only logical lol
i totally deserved this
I didn't sell them out
“You fucked up” the theme song
Listen to this at 1.5
kewl
Okay that actually sounds cool
It sounds even better
Trevor Verges like a battle theme
Listening at 0.75 isn't too bad either
BEST SOUNDTRACK BEST ART DIRECTION BEST STORY

SotC soundtrack got me on my knees tho.
Play Persona 4
@@monkeydjesse7224 play p3.
Sairvous I have Chief 4s better but 3s great
How awesome would it be if the canon plot was that Joker betrayed the Phantom Thieves?
Not awesome
Persona is all about killing gods with the power of friendship man
If Joker was a traitor, he’d get mowed down in no time flat
Pognt
I think that would be awesome. Especially if they made a part 2 to the anime where he "carried progress", like having items in his room from the last anime... Sounds awesome to me!
Then ig joker would be dead and mementos would've fused with the real world, and persona 6 would probably be someone else trying to undo that
dunno if anyone's gonna read this... but When I first played through P5 I got the good ending. But then on YT I saw a Video named "all endings". Watching it, realizing there is a bad ending and REALIZING the bad ending, gave me shivers when I saw the credits and this theme playing! Let alone the fact that in the end of the credits it says "END" in red. Just that creeped me out. Implying that Thou missed something. Seeing Joker betraying his friends, seeing his evil side shattered my heart. I was convinced I couldn't sleep that night and if I did I wouldve had nightmares. Everytime I picture this ending plus hearing this theme, a cold shudder runs through my body..
It doesn't mean jokers showing his evil side it means your showing your evil side if you picked the option seriously
@@creidog1874 ye that's true, but jokers evil smile still creeped me out😂
How 'bout royal endings? Never thought a bad enging could be such a happy one...
This ending had me so pissed because I thought that was the only ending to the game. 80 hours for that? Bro when the credits were over I was so glad I saved.
The ending was so dope
How do they make this song slap yet be so depressing at the same time
I've been crying for hours with this theme thinking "am I really doing the right thing with my life?"
your a furry
small spoilers:
Everyone: "But we can't change their hearts one by one!"
Me: "We are going to Mementos aren't we?"
Everyone: "Please, Morgana, say Mementos."
Morgana: "... Mementos."
Me: "YAAAY!"
*later*
Me: "Oh, crap!"
This song gives me the chills. Plus making me imagine the Mementos Depths... Looks like hell...
Akechi: (shoots you in the fucking head)
The wardens: You failed us inmate!!!
Igor: i cannot continue your rehabilitation
My honest reaction:
This track has a classic Doom vibe to it and there's no way that was by accident.
Playing this during my first day of school
Sets Pancakes On Fire.
Can't wait to hear this is in Smash
Theme is not in smash
*Theme plays*
This brings back bad memories because i thought it was how the game ended
The moment when you wish the Phantom Thieves were real...
I mean the Thieves represent the spirit of rebellion to do whats right so in a sense wherever you find those doing exactly that you've found the Phantom Thieves. I feel like the Hong Kong protesters are a great example.
yeah there are so many people today that realllyyy need a change of heart
if this song was a sentence, it would be "you f*cked up"
The only sad part is the game is ending soon such a good game I love it so much
This palace is a pain in my but. This is the only palace that I have ever died. But I love this Ost though. Hate the palace though
Henry smith Really? It was super easy for me.
I literally ran past through everything
It's easy
When Alpharad goes into his Switch's photo album
This theme will play if I don't pass my grade
So did it play?
*Sell out theme fades in*
I sold out my friends cuz i thought i would get in bigger trouble if i lied...
I thought it was the end and i just screwed up and my 70 hours of gameplay was a waste.
This song haunts me til the end of time
Stop Snitching
Damn man I feel you
This part gave me a realization that ignorance is the worst possible outcome for a man, worse than ordinary sins
How can a game's soundtrack have so many amazing tracks? Like there are too damn many to count
After I got the bad ending for sacrificing the Phantom Thieves to fake Igor, I burst out laughing. I'm glad Atlus can make you have these bad endings.
No way you sold them out first 😂
@@JohnLucPicard98 I honestly thought that I could still get away with it.
Spoilers
This theme is also the bad end theme because if akechi kills you, Yaldabaoth's game would have determined that humanity was hopeless, thus dooming the world
SPOILERS
I like how even after “Igor” gets revealed as the evil god, the icon that shows up on the day of reckoning is the still the general public’s, because they were the ones who created the evil god and are the ones essentially responsible for the impending doom.
When I "beat" persona 5 for the first time I had 1 save file through the whole I didn't think that far ahead but I got the ending where acecki kills you and when the credits were rolling this song was playing as I just sat there in wtf did I just do
Joker
You got one of the bad endings: Selling your friends out.
Lol i know its one of the bad endings now... but that was a while ago and iv gotten the true ending since but ill never forget my roots
I see lol
When palutena has no data on joker
This soundtrack fits well with 2020.
Bro when I entered the depths I thought I was playing a different game
While playing Persona 5 (for the 4th time! I'm a bit of an addict), I realized that this theme sounded weirdly familiar. Suddenly it hit me. Try listening to the opening of the 70s song "MacArthur Park" by Richard Harris then the Mementos Depths Dungeon music.
ruclips.net/video/tRwYQgk05DY/видео.html
queenmotherbug god you're right
Coincidence
Wow!
“This is how your trickery ends”
this song is so damn good dude
It’s so fitting like
We made it all the way here to the center of mementos but this is what’s here?
This palace gave silent hill vibes, don’t know why
It has obscure elements in it, like veins and scary bone structures.
Im glad it wasn't just me that got Silent Hill vibes from the lower layer and mementos depths. When I reach the Sheriruth layer, I was a bit shook because the OST and vibes is just like Silent Hill. I thought Akira Yamaoka composed the music for Mementos the first time lol
This is where your justice ends
This song is so depressing, after it plays during a bad ending and also during mementos when its the last palace.... i don't want it to end!
Truly one of the most unsettling places I've seen in a video game. The depths of Mementos is so alien and creepy, for some reasons it reminds me of the impact crater from Metroid Prime.
Hey, persona 4's final dungeon used its bad ending music too! i think it was "Corridor"
This is what I want to play when:
I did something seriously bad, and the consequences are that are also serious happen.
My last seconds on earth, if it was an result of my bad actions.
When I start to hear this music, this is around the time my eyes start going crazy from staring at the screen for too long.
I cant think of anything to describe this but it's in my top 10 persona 5 music/songs
this song is creepy af paired with the visuals of mementos depths, its just unsettling in a liminal spaces type vibe
theme: Unfulfilled potential
This is also Episode 26's ED of the anime.
It seems this is our last mission
Suddenly, I hate pancakes
BENDROWNED33 I wonder why
BENDROWNED33 me too
This song annoys me too much because I got the bad ending (akechi killing you end) and was forced listen to it and couldn't skip the credits and load an older save
Yeah, the unskippable credits made me feel a feeling of dread that I cannot describe, and when they did it again once they failed to kill the holy grail. No game has ever made me feel that much dread.
How did you guys unintentionally ending? Where you're about to make a choice that'll end the game prematurely, you get a 2nd chance to reconsider
The organ hits so fucking good in this song I swear
this song still manages to depress me
A pact between a false god and a human we placed our hopes on. Even we could not have predicted this
This song is really fucking dark
Delicious PANCAKES
It’s all fun and games until this starts playing irl
I might be sick for making this my fav ost from all other p5/p5r ost 💀
At first playing this game, I thought of myself wait what when akechi killed me I was stood frozen just listen to this bad ending music but it awesome tho
same, i love this track lol
“Psychokinesis”
Me: **Mob Psycho 100**
This may be the last dungeon but by lord how good is the soundtrack!? Like gameplay wise, what's topped the quality in 2024?
I love this song, you can feel the despair and apathy of all of humanity weighing down on you... yet at 0:46 there's also a sense of fear, of urgency, of impending ruin... and perhaps a tiny glimmer of hope as well?
Selling out my friends wasn't a good idea, I had to start everything over again. ;_;
Who else feeling a SMT Nocturne vibe on this along with the Mementos Depths' stage?
Ik this was used for a bad ending but this makes me want to cry
Good thing I didn’t sacrifice my friends towards the end lmaooo I loved this
...WELL,LETS BE HONEST...... *_ACTUAL PEOPLE'S SOCIETY IS TRULY REPRESENTED BY MEMENTOS DEPTHS_*
......
Only disappointed because Seeds of Sloth doesn't exist in this part of Mementos. The only missing capital sin in the game
the speed of this song is perfect for the unsettling vibe, too slow and it;s boring, and too fast and it becomes more of a fast paced banger than a slow melancholic song
Persona
Making people regret their decisions since 2006
A Depressin song done right
I called out my teammates and got this ending first. So close to beating shido.
Got the bad ending. Went back and kicked the dude's ass. No regrets
I didnt have an extra save file when I got here
Lets just say I got lucky.
Get it through your head...
Also plays in the BAD END
I wish i could find this song with the people's voices saying stuff like i dont care anymore...it doesn't matter..
Idk whether corridor or this is better. I hated the yomotsu hirasaka cuz u had to do it all in one day, but the fight wit izanami in the end was worth it. The depths of mementos, if not more depressing, i think is on par with the yomotsu hirasaka. The final boss of p5 and 4 are essentially the same thing. (Srry for any spoilers) but the p5 final boss is a god that kinda decides the fate of humanity for them, and thats the main point of the ame no sagiri and izanami fights
this theme always gives me runescape vibes lol
super!
What's the title of this song?
ryudhal Freedom and Security
Too bad they messed up the next palace theme in royal, the piano in that one is nice but this one just hits different.
mementos greater depths is jake and logan pauls palace
