I am a member of a BGLO and we all have our "image" and traditions...I know a bunch of AKAs and none of them are the hair flipping, make-up checking, mirror watching women they potray on stage...IT'S A SHOW!!! period point blank...It's all in good fun...None of them are that way in real life...I mean they don't walk out the house looking any kind of way but who does? They are all intelligent, classy, CHRISTIAN WOMEN!!! Do some research man stop judging folk on RUclips...
1. Quality vs Quantity-some of them just didn't need to be on stage, or needed more practice. 2. Everyone looked as if they were struggling in those shoes! I know the main focus is to be cute, but sometimes you have to DO WORK. Being cute only takes you so far... :)
they can say its just a show, but if you keep making that your image, then you become that. They say "it's all a show" as an excuse because they know that's it's immature behavior and no classy woman should flaunt like that. And I wouldnt have such a problem with it if they didnt associate it with their organization, which is supposedly Christian. Well vanity is not a Christian value. If they want to be vain on their own time, go head, but dont associate it with a Christian organization.

Also, why do yall like to show off your long & flowy hair like you think it makes you better? Black people should be proud of their natural hair. I thought this was an AFRICAN American sorority. You can conform to European standards of beauty if you want, but dont shake it in our faces like you think it makes you better. Anybody can buy a weave...
Obviously you are not a Black Greek so you don't know...That is what the AKAs are known for, beauty and vanity...Not as though it is celebrated that is just what they do...It is staked in history and tradition...They're not like that in real life man it all a show...Do some research on Black Greeks and you will see...Unless you are in you won't understand...We all have our history and traditions...
