- David Tepper's tumultuous tenure as owner of the Carolina Panthers took another ugly turn Sunday when he was spotted throwing a drink at a Jacksonville Jaguars fan during the team's shutout loss.
The team's owner was visibly upset after watching rookie quarterback Bryce Young throw a fourth quarter interception that virtually sealed the Panthers' first shutout in 342 games or 21 years. During his tirade, Tepper threw a drink at Jacksonville fans in the stands from a suite.

Panthers went from a football minded owner to a business man who wants to own a team. Maybe he will hire the right people and get out of their way. Only time will tell. But Jags and Bears fans in particular have little to be bragging about.

I'm a Panthers fan, and I am sick of losing. But, I'm so sick of this clown, meddling, and a**hole, crook owner known as David Tepper.
I mean, they never should've entered this Bears business in the first place, because now they have the #1 pick, and it belongs to the Bears.
The fans are getting their ass kicked just as much as the players on the team are. Something needs to be done here, and fast. They have to get rid of Tepper, for this incident, the failed projects, and abandonments in South Carolina.
I'm from the DC metro area and I witnessed 25 years of disgrace in Dan Snyders ownership of the Washington franchise, If Tepper owns the Panthers for any significant amount of time the fans will experience the same thing, The league eventually will have to step in.

@marcus813 I'm not a fan of Washington (Ravens) but I know a lot of Redskins/Commanders fans and some bailed out due to Snyders pathetic ownership, toxic work environment, most of FedEx being filled by opposing fans, I feel for fans that have to put up with owners who have no business owning professional sports franchises, I can remember when the Redskins ruled DC, Josh Harris has to turn this around but it's 25 years of undoing.

Well they really haven't been up since Cam Newton took then to the superbowl. So it's already been years. You're right though it'll take a lot more years to even see them become a half way decent team. It's sad because I'm a fan.

I mean it sucks but people need to blame the organization for low ticket sales. They bought cam back for like less then a season then traded him. It was obvious they didn't want to win. So I guess fans are showing that trading cam was a bad idea by not buying tickets. With other mager issues as well. Just overall bad management. Like honestly it felt like the organization just slapped the fans in the face. Pretty much just sucked the life out of the stadium. So yea i guess they bought him back only for tickets.

It surprises me that the Panthers are #7 in NFL for attendance, until they reach #27 with Washington can't see much changing. Tepper is cashing in at the box office, the fans are willing to pay top dollar to be seen at a crappy game and to see them score a few field goals.

I live in North Carolina and want to follow the Panthers, but this guy makes it very difficult. His micromanagement is NOT helping. Just because you have the money, does not mean you will be a good sports team owner. David Tepper is one perfect example.

I'm a Jaguar fan that was at this game. The Panthers are where we were for several years. I can feel the disappointment they are feeling now. I must say that the Panthers fans I encountered were very friendly, unfortunately the owner really gave those fans and the team a bad look. If Mr. Tepper can't control his temper any better than that , he should stay home! He might be glad right about now that he left the scene when he did - our fan looked like he meant business when he started climbing that wall!

Imagine a protest where everyone goes to the game and doesn't say a word. We all just sit there emotionless. The tickets are dirt-cheap, based on the price a week or so ago we could buy up hundreds of tickets for less than $1000.

I see why Tepper has changed head coaches with both the Panthers and the Crown so much. He can't control his emotions at all. I think that the NFL should both fine and suspend him because fans are the lifeblood of the game. As for his Panthers being shut out for the 1st time in 21 years, I forgot that the Falcons shut them out in both meetings in 2002. That was part of the 2002 Panthers' 8-game losing streak.
