I really like how she actually dances and performs, so many gymnasts use a lot of sloppy, half-assed, unnecessary hand movements to fill the gaps of their routine. Her choreography is very good from my POV, and I'm a dancer.

Well, she's Latin, after all. She's got that Latin flavor. We feel the music; we know what to do with it. TBH, Laurie was my favorite to watch on the floor exercises. That girl sure had some dance moves on her. That's that PR coming out. She was the youngest of the team (14 or 15, was it?) but she had the most soul on that dance floor. I know gymnastics is about high-flying flips and acrobatics and not necessarily about dancing, but once you make a floor routine with dance, then yes, it becomes about the dance too. And Laurie was the boss at merging those things together.

this beautiful,bubbly & charming lil girl is the future of gymnastics if simone retires after rio and quits gymnastics laurie will probably be the next olympic all around champion!!! the russians and the chinese are probably looking at us like come on give us a break theyre just churning out champions left and right!!!!!!

I have been watching the Usa Teams 2016 worlds and was just comparing the team's Floor routine.Wanted to share my views.No negativity. Gabby-Does Her routine effortlessly,Sometimes she slips when she makes it too effortless. Laurie-So bubbly and artistic,her dancing is great,so is her tumbling,bit her dance shines Aly-She is very...practical.Her focus seems to be tumbles and leaps,more than dance. Simone-Simone is like 50/50 She focuses on everything.You dont see one shine so you assume that isnt focusing.But she really is,you can tell.
i believe it was because the music ended with the sound of a gun being loaded and this was right after the Orlando massacre. She didn't get any points off for finishing after the music so it's no problem.
To me, she's the one to watch in Rio. Simone has seemed kinda shaky. Maybe the pressure is getting to her? Nothing is a given. Only 2 world champions have won Olympic gold..Tourischeva and Podkopayeva. Laurie's a worthy successor..good luck in Rio!!!
I am sure that Simone will be a rock in Rio. When it comes to the individual all around, she may or may not make it. In 2012, Jordyn Wieber was the favorite to win gold in the AA competition but she got edged out by Gabby Douglas because of the "2 per country" rule
