Four survivors of the Ghostface murders leave Woodsboro behind for a fresh start in New York City. However, they soon find themselves in a fight for their lives when a new killer embarks on a bloody rampage.

My vote was actually on detective Bailey just because of how he sounds whenever he's talking on the phone, he sounds exactly like the killer.
He also knew when they met. Hinting at bailey's son who went to school with them
All the more reason it can only be Bailey who killed Greg and Jason. Ethan was at the party and Quinn was at their apartment.

What I love about the line, “WHO GIVES A F**K ABOUT MOVIES?”, it completely goes against the traditional GhostFace philosophy, subverting expectations, and a way of telling the audience that this isn’t a regular GhostFace.

I love how this kill is a huge reference to the Friday the 13th series. The character's name is Jason, and he's watching Friday the 13th Part 8 Jason Takes Manhattan, and he finds his friend dead in his refrigerator just like how Alice Hardy found Pamela Voorhees's decapitated head in her freezer just before Jason killed her in Friday the 13th: Part 2.

This opening scene was a damn good twist within a twist. The first half was predictable. But after the kill i was confused when ghostface revealed himself that early. But after this scene i was shocked. Top 3 openings in the series
yes.. the great opening in Scream 1 and scream 4 are also very memorable.

Scream 6 had the best opening in my opinion. Scream 1 second best, then Scream 5. Scream 4 had the worst opening since it was a bit too meta for me.
I honestly feel it was the best opening of the series which is crazy because I never thought anything would out do the first Casey scene in Scream 1996 for me

What Ghostface said at 2:58 sent chills down my spine
This Ghostface is Detective Bailey because the killer on phone sounded like he was 'interrogating' Jason by insinuating that a C- on a paper is a terrible motive to murder unlike revenge, which was his motive because his son Richie was killed.
It’s confirmed in the later scenes because Ethan’s with chad in the party scene, and quinn was…in bed.
So why he killed 2 men in the shop??

This duo probably could have done some damage, but the main villain was clearly better equipped to go on a killing spree and was well prepared to stop their plan from going forward.
This scene was so awesome! I’m not only a huge fan of the scream films but I’m an even bigger fan for Friday the 13th so it was cool to see Jason watching Jason takes Manhattan
Then you'll be blown away when I tell you that the guy finding his partner in the fridge just to get immediately ambushed after wandering around the apartment is a clear homage to the opening of Friday 2.

What a great opening scene

2:58 one of the best Ghostface line ever said. This is one of the best opening scenes from the Scream Franchise and I love it for that
I just rewatched the original Scream right before this one. It's crazy how different the killer sounds between these films. It seems like the voice was more toned back in Scream and Scream 2. I think Roger Jackson added a more menacing tone to his voice for Scream 3, and stuck with that for the remainder of the films.
I take into account the age in his voice too. Think Mark Hamill’s joker when he started doing the role till recently where it’s super raspy.
I much prefer the more edged tone of the voice from 3 on and thought it was particularly great in 6.
I think in the first film Roger was trying to replicate Billy's voice

Don’t get me wrong I love Wes Craven’s films but the reason I rank *Radio Silence’s* scream films so high, is because I like their Modern take of meta-scream and the modern serial killer aspect of it, radio silence has a clever way of getting their message across & breaking the fourth wall in a not so obvious way. The 3rd acts of the movies are a little anti-climactic but its still very scream-esque just a little elevated. Scream 5 was judged too early. It’s very good, balanced & threw shade at “elevated horror” in the opening, yet Scream VI is exactly that.

Jason was an actual evil ghostface. I kind of wish he lived longer so we could have seen more of his phsychotic nature. he wasnt some random wannabe, he was enjoying it, and he was evil.

Given that Ethan was at the party and Quinn was at the dorm, the killer here is definitely Bailey. And the phone conversation sounds eerily similar to a police interrogation; something that Ethan and Quinn would not be capable of.
To be fair we don’t know how much time elapsed between Jason dying and Sam returning home from therapy so it’s possible Quinn could have got home before her. But since it’s the Billy Loomis mask it’s probably Wayne

Since Jason thought it was cool to hurt somebody, it was only fair for him to get the same treatment.
No it wasn't. Jason was a cool killer. Everybody loves all of the other killers in the franchise, why does Jason have to get a load of rubbish poured on him?
As "Greg" talks to Jason on the phone in his apartment, Jason's suspicions start to grow and they aren't alleviated until he asks Greg where they met and Greg answers correctly: 8 years ago, in junior high. Such information would be pretty easy for a police detective to get while running a background check.
I will die on the hill that this Opening Kill is by far the best one since Scream 1.
