I dont do nail art but I like seeing it, and I enjoy chatty vid's... tfs!!! I do a gel overlay from time to time but I always always use A&H's Mermaid Tears base first(wait for it to be completely dry b4 applting your gel), and highly recommend it especially for every1 that has thin nails such as yourself... its a nutrional basecoat, that I've been using it since 2019. I swear by it.. my nails are healthy and naturally thick I rarely break a nail and its not because of the gel overlay that I use from time to time its actually the mermaid tears plus she sells it in scented with lots of scents to choose from which I appreciate being a smoker. Have a Gr8 week =-)
I enjoy these videos. Great idea to use top and base gel to strengthen the nail. I used to do gel years ago before I learned how to do my nails properly (base, lacquer, top coat, etc). Nice mani! 😊
Sadly, even with proper nail care, my nails are still thin. Thin nails bend easily and that cracks the polish. Dazzle Dry works really well but I’ve found it’s making my nails peel. 🥴. So I’m still on my quest to see what works best for me!
I admire people like you who can stamp like a breeze. Every time I try, I make a huge mess, get polish all over the place, the stamp picks half of the image, complete disaster! 😂
Been there!! It’s only easy for me now because of lots of practice, trial and error! I’m still pretty messy when I stamp. 🤣. It’s definitely a feel you just have to get used to. Don’t give up though…you’ll get it!
I use beetles gel base and top coat because my natural nails used to split way down the side wall (sulcus) and it's strengthens and grown my nails. Your mani is gorgeous and the stamping and colours are beautiful 💜💅👏TFS
Great info! Question for you… do you use another base coat on top of the gel top coat before you do the regular polish? Or maybe I should ask what your sequence of polish layers is? I am finding that the gel top coat is so smooth that sometimes my regular polish doesn’t adhere well and it pops off!
Great mani. I have that plate as well & have liked it. I’m actually trying to get my ducks in a row to possibly start doing stamping videos on RUclips starting 2025. There is a Saturday stamping group that I enjoy watching & thought would be fun participating in. I am needing to learn how to edit videos 1st & how people record their videos since it would mostly be on my phone
How fun! I haven’t heard of that group. I’d love to see your videos on stamping! I use only my phone for RUclips (I used to use my iPad too but I dropped it last month and it’s no longer working 🥲). I use an editing app called KineMaster. Invest in a good phone holder (if you’re using your phone to film). I’m here if you have any other questions! 😊
Thanks for the mani inspo! I might just do something similar😊 Also, I’ve been using Essie’s gel couture top coat and it doesn’t tipically smudge the design.

I’ve heard lots of people talk about that base coat! I may need to try it! Thanks for the tip!! 😊

@ Thanks for the encouragement! I’ll keep trying 🙂

@restoredbypolish4591 yes, so after the beetles uv base coat and uv top coat, I use Orly bonder. It also reduces the staining of my nails. 😀💅🤗

Ooo! Thanks for the tip! Nothing worse than smudging a stamping design! Hope your leaves turn out great! 😊
