This is MY first Cadisen! Thanks for the compliment...the long form unboxing videos run long...I just talk....then have to find a way to edit down to 10 min or so! 😂
I thought it would be that flat, bright dive watch orange, so I was a little surprised when I saw the electric orange sunburst. It really takes on different colors at different angles/light.
Great review Witt. LOVE that orange 🍊 😍 🧡 For the price this is an awesome everyday knockaround watch. Dont think one can ask for much more for US$100.
It's electric! Love how the sunray can be matte at certain angles, then come to life in others. Definitely a great beater, or maybe introduction to automatic for some.
No alignment issues at all with mine. The crown popped out fine as well like an NH35 should. It's abit fiddly with the crown guards but it's no issue at all really. No sharp edges with mine either I have a 6.25 inch wrist & the bracelet was too long. If you have a 6.5 inch wrist you maybe ok but it'll be a close call. Bracelet is push pins but it has solid end links. I therefore replaced the bracelet & clasp with a push pin jubilee bracelet I already had. I then attached the solid end links which came with the watch & got around this issue that way (the long way!). It's running 5 seconds a day slow with 1.0 beat rate error (beat error is abit high but it's going be a mostly beater watch / summer watch for me so no concerns at all with that score). It's a great watch, delivered in 6 days to the UK from AliExpress. If you're on the fence, just buy it!!
I'm seeing this one late Witt. Excellent review ! I would love to see this style as a GMT with an NH34. Steeldive have one but the dial markers are printed and the hands less refined. This Cadisen has a dial that rivals the Seiko. I'll forgive the pressed clasp as Seiko has it too for multiple times the price. I have this particular orange Seiko 5 GMT original but if Cadisen make the blue dial GMT, I'll be ordering it, particularly if they add a couple of layers of lume ! I will say though, my Seiko does line up but I bought it in person at a Seiko boutique so I was able to check it before parting with the cash.
It's a pretty good bet they'll make a GMT, like you mentioned, unless they feel like they're on the backside of the GMT wave. This dial IS really nice. They just need improved lume...this has nothing on Lumi-Brite!
I have watches with and without cyclops. The problem with most cyclops is that you have to look at just the right angle to prevent the optical distortion from making them unreadable. Without a cyclops, the image is always clear.
I prefer them, depending on the watch/dial. But if they start getting scratched up, they look terrible and actually prevent you from reading the date! This one is pretty big, so you don't have to find JUST the right angle like you were mentioning. Image is big, too!
Great review, i own one in blue. Some obvious compromises, but for a 1/4 of the price of the original im not complaining. And the dimensions and specs are what seiko should've made, hits that sweet spot between the skx 007 (too big) and 013 (too small)
I wonder if most of these Hong Kong manufacturers have to start with an homage, to gain attention, then have hopes of releasing their own designs as popularity grows. I feel like most stay in the homage game. Didn't Cadisen START with original designs?
Thanks! No, I haven't had that issue. I do wear my watches above the bone, though. This wears identical to my Seiko SRPJ45 shown in the video, just a little smaller. The finishing on the underside of the crown guards IS a little more rough/pointy than the Seiko. I didn't notice it, but just checked after reading your comment.
This is 316L stainless steel, to the best of my knowledge. Both are susceptible to corrosion from sweat, with 316L having a little better resistance. That said, I've never seen it happen. Watch freaks tend to rinse or wash their watches!
@TechFreakMB Oh, wow. They must have changed their spec listings, then, as this was labeled 316L when sent to me. I can't tell the difference in normal daily wear appearance, like I would be able to tell the difference between 316L and 904L. I wear this pretty frequently, but like I said, it gets rinsed just through my normal process of wearing watches. I would be more concerned with movement longevity without service than case longevity without rinsing.
@@WatchWitt yes even there videos are bit misleading on RUclips when they write specs also got in touch with a supplier on alibaba she told the that it is 304 L as confirmed from their designer
This watch is not a winner at all for me. i have a few skx clones, but this is a shrunk down watch, everything about it seems small, and I have a bunch of 40mm watches (this is 39). The bezel insert width and height is so much less. the bracelet is much thinner, smaller links than the other jubilees like on a tandorio etc, its much narrower and the taper is like a woman's watch bracelet, the case is thinner. This just does not work for me. Some 40mm watches feel substantial, not this. If you like the original size and in general happy with 41-43mm divers, this will feel super small. Just my 2 cents. feels like a kids or ladies skx. If that's what you want then go for it. I don't have a huge wrist either. I must also say the bezel is the worst bezel action i've experienced on any watch, including my 40 chinese watches,.
Definitely for those who want a smaller version of the 5KX, and upgraded crystal/crown. That being said, it still wears well on me with 8" wrist. But we all have opinions...and you make some valid points. I would call this unisex before I'd label it women's or kids.
Haha! Seiko definitely wins with LumiBrite. After having the watch a couple of days since I unboxed this, I can say that while it fades quickly it was still legible in the early morning hours. But I'm with you...doesn't dazzle me with brightness. THIS is a lume whore's friend: ruclips.net/video/8vUm3Xrpwh0/видео.html
I can attest to the STEELDIVE SD1970. That's one of the reasons I mentioned it in the video. Imagine if Cadisen had gone after the lume with a passion? I feel like we're not the norm, but there are plenty of us lume freaks out here!
Great pick up! Really dig the orange dial, simple yet loads of fun 😁
Absolutely...this orange is dynamic! Very fun, and at an affordable price.
Thank you for the fantastic review on this watch, I love that orange dial so much, I bought the watch because of your review of it! 👌
Glad I could help! Enjoy...it's a beauty!
I think this will be my first ever Cadisen...😂
Also really well put together video, well done, mate!
This is MY first Cadisen! Thanks for the compliment...the long form unboxing videos run long...I just talk....then have to find a way to edit down to 10 min or so! 😂
Can see why this is so popular. Love that orange!

@@WatchWitt I've never owned one... just that orange is making it sooooo tempting! (and the cost too)
@carnagewatches They were £52 the other day! So watch the sales...
@@WatchWitt £52 is just insane 😱
Why wouldn't you pick it up as a beater at that price, right?! They're enabling us! 😂
Great job Witt!
Thank you! Cheers!

Yup, absolutely a great beater watch! Solid movement, and great looks to this Seiko homage. Price is right!
@@WatchWitt great review & watching this made me decide to go & buy it 👍👍
Thanks! Glad I could present it in a way to help you decide whether or not to buy it!

6:30 comparing opposite sides of watches!
You might have been looking at the watch head, but I was comparing the bezel knurling!
Oh yea. Good one mate. Just waiting for next sale to order that orange. Seiko uses higher grade steel?
@xfghsthsh 😎 The orange is fantastic! Each company uses 316L stainless steel.
Great review, will watch for it in the sales…
Thanks....it was $66 the other day!
The colour looks much better than the 5kx👍🏻.
The sunburst dial is awesome, too!
Yeah Dude👍🏻.

Yes, exactly. Great to have the good looks, but not scared to beat it around a little.
Nice looking watch and specs, would be even better with their own original design though.

As case material is of 304 stainless steel will it get corrosion with sweat on day to day wearing

Specs on AliExpress listings is an ongoing issue. Thanks for the heads up. I have added an update explaining this in the video description.
Seriously, Seiko should be embarrassed.
Haha! Or at least flattered! We need LumiBrite in this one, though...
Does have a ceramic bezel?
Yes. 7:39 at the end of the bezel inspection chapter.
I bought for 51$ in batman version
This is great homage! That's a great looking color you have there, too!
Parlak yan yüzey çok zayıf kordon ayarı yapılırken çizildi uzun süre kullanabileceğimi sanmıyorum
Olur. Ancak bu kaliteli bir bütçe saati olduğu için uzun sürecek.
Too small for me, if anybody wants to buy it unused/ had it for 2 days, let me know
Yeah, they LOOK like they're big...but smaller!
What color you got and where are you based?
Shame about the Cyclops
Just wait...you'll knock it off eventually! 😂

@@WatchWitt Thing is, there are plenty of other watches out there with great lume at around the same price, so for me at least it's a deal breaker.
What "best lume" watches do you recommend at about $100?
Steeldive or Addiesdive Willards are awesome, and other models from both brands are usually outstanding, lume-wise at least.
