I can't remember where I read it, but someone once pointed out the sequence at 1:39 and how impactful it really is. This universe's Spider-Man had died previously, and not very long ago. The entire city is still mourning, and the average New Yorker is probably feeling less safe without him. Even Miles' dad, who disliked Spider-Man as a cop, admits in the film that his job was easier with Spider-Man around. All of these people in that shot are feeling those feelings, working late, and going through an unrestful time in their lives when all of a sudden, they see what is so very obviously a human being running on the side of their building. You see them all stand up, you see a woman drop her papers, and the only sound you get (aside from the soundtrack) is the sound of Miles' sneakers on the glass. Most of them probably thought it was some kind of hallucination, or a sick joke, or something else entirely, but all of them definitely felt a little bit of hope that maybe, just maybe, someone was going to protect them again. Man, this movie was awesome.
At 1:02, you can see the bystanders noticing Miles during his leap of faith. From their POV, it's a shadowy figure falling from the skyscraper. They probably don't really know what to think... Until it starts pulling out the webs and swinging.
What I love most about this scene is that it’s not all web slinging like we’ve seen with other Spider-Man’s. It’s a lot of running and parkour, which he says earlier that he’s better at. He’s taking the iconic Spider-Man moves and applying them to his own style, not the other way around.
The entire theater was silent for the entire movie. Not a word not a sound. But when Miles jumped and then started swinging? The absolute uproar of emotions from the people in the theater was absolutely incredible

A cool detail is how he’s spent the whole movie trying to be the same as Peter’s Spider-Man but when his dad finally says that the “spark” in miles is his to do with what he wants he takes his leap of faith and has his own style as Spider-Man. And when he moves around in between swinging he moves more like the prowler (his uncle) than the other Spider-Man because he’s got his uncles sense of style.
Underrated fact is that Aunt May lived for years knowing Peter was Spider-Man and moved past his death to help Miles a kid she met the night before on his journey. Good god the strength of that woman
02:02 I love how strong this scene is. Since the movie begins, you can see that each spiderman that appears the movie jumps into an intro of that spiderman showing it’s comic and then narrating a little bit of their origins and how they become spiderman. Along we see the movie, we were unable to see that intro with Miles Morales because we never saw his comic as the introduction, we were watching his origins and then when he becomes spiderman(this scene) we finally see his comic as the punchline reward. Each Spiderman in the movie gets their comic slapped down as soon as they come in. Miles was in the movie from the start, but his universe's (new) Spiderman wasn't.

0:28 is a great overlooked moment because earlier when he was looking at the suit his face was only at chest height but now his face matches perfectly with the mask showing he’s now ready to be Spider-Man
Earlier, just the *idea* of Spider-Man is looming over him. It's larger than life. His Peter was perfect. The idea alone is larger than HIM. But after his resolve-- it's not. Spider-Man isn't some perfect diety on a pedestal. It's not something bigger than him. He *is* Spider-Man.
That wouldn’t happen. All Spider-Men have increased durability and strength. Peter has to actually pull his punches and roll with the impact from his enemies or they would die or get seriously hurt. The worst that would happen is Mules getting some broken bones
@@raptalos9412 I don't think so.... Peter died when Morlun plucked his eye out and threw him off a Tall Skyscraper.... And he's also been shown to be severely hurt by sharp weapons like Knives and mainly Bullets.... Although they probably won't kill him though.... If he doesn't get enough of it....
@One Player don’t know where you got the Hulk from, as Spider-Man never stood a chance with him, only with cosmic powers. Captain America not really either during the Civil War storyline, maybe nowadays as he knows martial arts. But yes, true, during the Superior storyline Doc Ock knocked Scorpion’s jaw off as he didn’t realise how much Peter was holding back (which makes you wonder why he hasn’t knocked off anyone else’s off).
@@raptalos9412 Spider-Man might have increased durability. But he isn’t Superman or Thor level durable. He would still probably die if he fell all the way down from a large building like that, or at least break several bones, most likely including his spine or his neck.
From a cinematic filmmaking level, the studio nailed it. It's exceptionally hard for comic books to translate well visually in film/animation, even anime stumbles sometimes. But for this, everything felt like there was weight, consequence, and as fantastical as Spider-Man physics are, framing of everything was like opening an assorted box of chocolates with ONLY the audiences favorite flavors. Snooty nose aside. They did a LOT of justice making Miles a treat to watch.
The glass shattering, showing miles was still nervous, still terrified even, but he jumped anyway. Because it’s a leap of *faith* and gosh, that scene, where he’s falling, but it’s almost like he’s rising, afterwards, the chaos of him flailing through the air before finally gaining confidence, then the parkour through the city, it’s all so beautifully made, and it shows so much about miles character,. The music in the background really seals it, making it, in my opinion, the best scene in cinema history.
Agreed, ITSV still holds the throne imo. It singlehandedly changed the game on what a superhero movie could be. Raimi's Spider-Man 2 at a close second, and NWH at third.
What If, Bully Maguire appeared as one of the other 5 spidermans: Miles Morales: When do i know.. i'm Spider-man? Peter B Parker: you won- Bully Maguire: You Will know when you are Spider-man when you JUMP OFF THIS DAMN ROOF!
I just LOVE the scene at 1:43. The animation is gorgeous and giving Miles the same amount of frames as the background, which is different than in the other action scenes, really conveys a great sense of speed and fluidity. It also beautifully shows Miles doing a typical parkour vault, reminding us of his very own style, which he kind of adapted from his uncle and just by generally living out that street type of life
Man this is so good especially the way he leaps off of rooftops and flips backwards to face the camera before falling into a head first dive is just full of the exaggerated swagger of a Black teen.
@@johna8759 its a meme some game review youtube channel reviewd the spider man miles morales game and said something along the lines of "he swings with the exaggerated swagger of a black teen"
I believe Miles Morales might be the strongest Spider Man to exist. In addition to the web-slinging abilities, he can also disappear, AND has electrokinesis abilities which are all VERY powerful. By the way, he's still in kid form. When he grows up it's a wrap lol
Miles Morales is about finding one’s own identity. He was so concerned about becoming Spider-Man that for a moment he lost who he was. In this moment, he did become Spider-Man but most importantly, he became his own Spider-Man.
@Alex Haes Wow cool great and all that but Miles was Black in the original comics, Im not even an sjw its just that why hate on a black male? He's just an extension, a unique character, a same ability, bur unique, I assumed you were racist because you just said "Black spiderman???" out of context
I like how at 1:02, you can see people turning heads at the sight of a person with webs, likely still coping with the death of Spider-Man, only to see a new one. Probably thinking it’s a sick joke, or a hallucination. But it’s still a little bit of hope.
The thing is most overlooked in the comments is Miles’ dad comments. It’s amazing what kids can accomplish when they have the support of their parents. That’s all kids need sometimes is just a word, and they can accomplish the impossible
This scene is by far the best suit up/becoming the hero scene in all super hero movies of modern times. Not even a MCU film has been able to do such a scene and actually skip this type of normal kid becomes the hero scene anymore. I was so hyped up and motivated watching this scene
Two little details that make this scene extra special and amazing First is of course Aunt May who knew that no matter what others said, Miles will come around. Hence “Took you long enough”. She even made him his own shooters Next one are the people of New York. When Miles is “ascending” you can see people look up. And when he is running on the side of the building, people stand up in shock. Imagine you lost a hero who helped and saved them for so long? From a typical mugging to a super-villain. And then he died. So much sadness and uncertainty - but then you see that not all hope is lost. Amazing
Fun fact:do you know the first scene when Miles looks at the suit he was at the chest but in this scene he reached the top because he reached his full potential
If you love Peter Parker you'll love Miles Morales. That night, Spider-man returns to New York, swinging in between the city he sworn to protect. Spider-man's spirit will never die, and destiny will always have someone put on that suit.
The soundtrack in this movie, especially during the Prowler sequences and this sequence, how they used the song, and the sound mixing, that's the best part of the whole movie for me.
I really love this scene how miles was finally ready to become Spiderman and i loved how the foreshadowed it earlier in Spiderman basement when miles sees his reflection in Spidermans suit his face wasn't in the mask yet proving he wasn't ready yet but now his face was in the mask showing that he's finally ready to become Spiderman
The combination of What's Up Danger with Miles' theme gives me goosebumps every time. Fuck, I think I rewatched this movie more than any other Spider-Man film
I like how miles doesn't do alot of swinging, gives him a unique style from peter or gwen, he's alot more grounded and has alot more weight and practicality with his movement
This is for me the second best animated movie song in history!: My top 6: 1: Holding For A Hero (Shrek 2) 2: What's up Danger? (Into The SpiderVerse) 3: I'll Make A Man Outta You (Mulan) 4: I Wanna Party (Rio) 5: Im Still Standing (Sing) 6: I'm Still Here (Treasure Planet)

Best spiderman film I have ever seen. Loving miles morales
@@jaredavery7641 This comment deserves more attention.
This movie is an absolute masterpiece.
1:12 imagine that long ass web kept going up and miles just splattered on the floor 😂
@@Cherrypick2363 some Peter Parker’s are weak, the main continuity version is too op
*They better include the Hoodie Version suit in Spider-Man: Miles Morales.*
Its in the game look on gameinformer
Actually, I’m talking about the *Suit with the Hoodie.* Not just the Suit.
They showed a picture with it so hope we will see it in the game
Haha yes
Well it’s not there
Watched No Way Home, it was great, but this is still the best Spider-Man movie.
no way
No no way home is better I’m sorry

Agreed, ITSV still holds the throne imo. It singlehandedly changed the game on what a superhero movie could be. Raimi's Spider-Man 2 at a close second, and NWH at third.
What If, Bully Maguire appeared as one of the other 5 spidermans:
Miles Morales: When do i know.. i'm Spider-man?
Peter B Parker: you won-
Bully Maguire: You Will know when you are Spider-man when you JUMP OFF THIS DAMN ROOF!

This scene literally brought tears to my eyes... the visuals, the song, Miles entire vibe... It was so spider man, but culture.
I never thought anyone could go as hard as Peter Parker becoming Spider-Man, and Miles' glow up is amazing, but Mentor May?! HOLY SHIT THATS BAD ASS!
I just LOVE the scene at 1:43. The animation is gorgeous and giving Miles the same amount of frames as the background, which is different than in the other action scenes, really conveys a great sense of speed and fluidity. It also beautifully shows Miles doing a typical parkour vault, reminding us of his very own style, which he kind of adapted from his uncle and just by generally living out that street type of life
“That’s all it is Miles, a leap of faith” - (Peter B Parker) 0:44 - 0:47
IMHO, Spider-verse is best comic book movie since Spider-man 2
This guy dont need no haystack at the bottom tho

When Stan Lee said anyone can be Spider-Man, he was 100% right. This was Miles' best spider awakening in the this whole movie!
I still hope Stan got to see the finished cut before he died!
Man this is so good especially the way he leaps off of rooftops and flips backwards to face the camera before falling into a head first dive is just full of the exaggerated swagger of a Black teen.

I believe Miles Morales might be the strongest Spider Man to exist. In addition to the web-slinging abilities, he can also disappear, AND has electrokinesis abilities which are all VERY powerful. By the way, he's still in kid form. When he grows up it's a wrap lol
This hits different after seeing Across the Spider-Verse.
this entire movie was just a masterpiece in every aspect

Miles Morales is about finding one’s own identity. He was so concerned about becoming Spider-Man that for a moment he lost who he was. In this moment, he did become Spider-Man but most importantly, he became his own Spider-Man.

It's been 3 years and this scene is still so cool
Whenever I feel down,I will see this clip ,which gives a meaning to our life and realises our purposes.🥰🥰🥰
This intro was fire
It actually was !
@24 7 what's that supposed to mean
Into the Spider-Verse was Miles raising up, Across the Spider-Verse was him dealing with the struggles that come by being Spider-Man
None of the other Spidey's knew for sure whether or not Miles would ever be ready. May sat waiting for him to come back.
She knew.
The shot of him rising as he’s falling takes my fucking breath away
bro, aunt may was such a badass in this movie tho! hope we can see more of that in more upcoming spiderman movies.
This is one of the best scenes on cinema history. Is a fact.
Two little details that make this scene extra special and amazing
First is of course Aunt May who knew that no matter what others said, Miles will come around. Hence “Took you long enough”. She even made him his own shooters
Next one are the people of New York. Amazing
Miles at 12 fps until he transitions into Spider-Man and reaching 24fps like the rest is top tier. lmao
Let's be honest everyone who watched this movie looks at a tall building and plays this in his head and pictures himself being spiderman
If y’all don’t get goosebumps watchin this scene, yo priorities messed up 😂
the people who disliked this accidently clicked it because they were holding their phone upside down while watching this scene 0:55
The scene was inverted to show Miles wasn’t falling, he’s rising!
Fun fact:do you know the first scene when Miles looks at the suit he was at the chest but in this scene he reached the top because he reached his full potential
Yeah I noticed that too
The more I ingest miles related content the more I relate to him
Hyped for Spider-Verse 2!!! ❤️🕷
If you love Peter Parker you'll love Miles Morales. That night, Spider-man returns to New York, swinging in between the city he sworn to protect. Spider-man's spirit will never die, and destiny will always have someone put on that suit.
The BESTTTTTTTTTTT Spiderman till date!!! ❤🖤❤🖤

@@rohanvarma2836 Your choice, not mine, and I wonder why you came on this video. 😀
