CREATING A MASTERPIECE: Building and Sculpting at the Same Time! 21

I’m Diane Louise van der Zanden and in 2015, we started building my studio while I worked on plastilina and paper mache figurative sculpture in the house. At that time, I was still exploring this new method of putting paper mache into molds to make lightweight, hollow, inexpensive sculpture and to elevate paper mache to a high end art. I made the plaster mold on the patio of the house. We moved here to Colima, Mexico in 2010 knowing that we wanted our studios here. This is a fabulous place to make art and I didn’t know how much I’d enjoy making RUclips videos for you, so I hope you like it!

I was thinking how I wish i had and atelier like yours, so much space and everything is organized! But you are correct, it was a long journey for you and it wasn't easy, and let me tell you that you can see that in every video how much effort your put on everything. Im happy for you and all the things you accomplished to be now sharing all of it with us! Take care
