A redemption arc is possible for A-Teain (less so for The Deep), but I think this is the kind of show where they just dont want you to pick a side. Everybody is an asshole in some way or the other, but every asshole is also some what relatable.THe show keeps you on your toes, feeling conflicted most of the time with a win here and there. I say it will remain so until the last season; maybe then we'll see a real redeption arc for one of the cast.

Blade 3, Resident Evil: Retribution or the film afterwards. Probably that Korean horror series Sweet Home. Even at guessing since I don't recall, if it's not there, something similar or worse is there. Probably in Parasyte: The Maxim. I wouldn't put it past the Supernatural series to have it either. At this point I'm just like oh it's this again. I guess you could technically say it was in Beetlejuice. I'm not gonna be surprised to see it again. Edit: Might be in the Underworld film series at some point. Not going back, those were a once/twice experience for the most part.
*The* *Boys* *S4* *Ep* *1-3* I will give it a *B-* so far. What saved it was Ep 2. Ok, why did the writers turn *Frenchie* *gay?* From Cherie to falling and wanting to protect Kimiko to having gay sex with Colin? Cherie did explain something in Ep 2 on what Frenchie did to Colin’s family but I still don’t understand the writers turning Frenchie gay like that. That’s a nice weight loss by Laz Alonso, but why is Mother’s Milk the boss of the Boys? Didn’t Butcher start it and recruit him? I do agree with Sean Chandler that the writers are recycling the same stories again. More dick jokes in every season and even in Gen V. Used the same Rick Astley ringtone joke we heard in Season 1. The problem is where are they trying to go with this? What’s at stake? It’s the most political it’s ever been since Season 2 and maybe the worst season since S2. I was mostly meh with Ep 1 and 3 but Ep 2 which had the biggest shock value among the three is why I didn’t give it worse than a B-. My favorite part of Ep 2 was actually TruthCon. It actually hits home because I have a stepdad who is a devout Roman Catholic and he watches religious conspiracy theorists on RUclips. Like these RUclipsrs will say if you add a certain amount of days, it will add as 666 mark of the beast. There’s a Tom Hanks line from Firecracker that had me rolling. *Firecracker:* If you add up all of the letters of all of the Tom Hanks movies, you get 311, which is…the police code of child porn. It’s just math! That Ep 2 was mocking everybody. Whatever side you’re on, they’re making fun of you. And then Ashley takes a jab at Disney which had me rolling. How she wants to quit and Disney has been recruiting her for years and how she’s a gawd damn “girl boss”. I actually think Sister Sage is a standout character for me. She reminds me of the Oracle in The Matrix movies but then she’s way more snarkier. She’s basically controlling the entire group now being the smartest *person* in the world. *Sister* *Sage:* Ryan is the first natural-born superhero. And his brand needs to reflect that. He’s not one of Vought’s lab rat freaks. He was chosen - by fate, God, whatever- to be the one who saves the world. *Homelander:* Yes. But let’s not forget why he is special. Shall we? He’s my son. Chosen by God, sure, but, uh… made by me. *Sister* *Sage:* The chosen one narrative only works if he stands alone. Harry Potter. Neo. Luke Skywalker. Hollywood’s trained people to fall in love with *white* *boy* *lone* *saviors.* So, America will want to fall in love with Ryan. Firecracker is such a slut to Homelander. When are we going to see her breastfeed him? They’re probably going to use some prosthetics like Rose Byrne did in the two Neighbors movies. The Boys S1: Translucent The Boys S2: Love Sausage The Boys S3: Termite Gen V S1: Little Cricket climbing one 🌳 The Boys S4: Splinter brawl How often will you see a brawl where the adversaries are completely butt naked with their dicks hanging out? That’s basically what we saw in Ep 2. A dude who clones himself is getting into a brawl with The Boys while completely butt naked. And that wasn’t even the weirdest and grossest part of the episode. You’ll know that part. Just think human centipede. BTW, the actor who portrayed Splinter used a prosthetic penis and ass for those scenes. He looks pretty hung while still flaccid. But nope. That penis is fake as I thought it would be. That’s why I expect the actress for Firecracker will be using prosthetic breasts to breastfeed Homelander like Lea Thompson used it in Back to the Future Part II during the alternate 1985 scenes. Moreso than S2 and S3. This is why S1 remains my favorite season. It was still fresh and didn’t become way too political yet. The current writers keeps chasing for more shock value that adds nothing to the story. I actually want Homelander to be the hero at the end of this series. I know in the comics, that’s not the case. Butcher supposedly kills him. But I feel Homelander is the victim and the real villain is Vought. The end should have Homelander being human again and we see him actually enjoying it. The ending should have everyone no longer having superpowers. Homelander’s superpowers is why he’s so egotistical and has this God complex. If he no longer has it, then the better person inside of him can come out. He’s the best character in the show and he’s what makes The Boys so unpredictable and entertaining. Whether you like him or hate him, he makes the show click the way Daemon does for House of the Dragon. I’ve read a comment that Homelander doesn’t deserve a redemption arc. He’s never shown any remorse to the people he’s hurt or killed. That it would be out of character if he redeems himself. So maybe we’re headed to the conclusion that he will get killed which feels very predictable. I wouldn’t mind it because he’s shown to be an unapologetic psychopath. Majority of these Supes are despicable, so if they all die, the world would be in a better place. Deadpool is tame compared to The Boys. No Deadpool movie will show as much dick as The Boys does. The Boys goes to the extreme with their shock value. We will get one more season after this. I hope Amazon has figured out how to end this series and not fumble it like what happened to Game of Thrones.
