Hey guys! Here's some tools to make the job a lot easier :) Screwdriver kit - amzn.to/3Gmx7qh Pick Set - amzn.to/3oz54OA Bit Set - amzn.to/31FP3NQ Cheers :)
ha ha...I replaced mine just last month. ( we were in lockdown here in Vic and it gave me something to do, that normally you might not bother with...lol) Cheers...
I’m doing cape York in August and has recommendations to set the AC to external input ( rather than recirculate) as this pressurises the cabin so no dust gets in. In doing this I’ll take a spare filter and swap in 1/2 way through the trip. Do you think that this is the way to go? Also do you know if Isuzu does a replacement of filter and at what recommended km.
Mate that AC fan behind the glovebox has been making a bit of a noise from new. Especially on low when it’s quiet in the cabin it’s super annoying. Great relieve when you turn the AC completely off. Any idea if that can be fixed at all? Sounds a bit like a noisy PC fan. Cheers
Hi Alex, usually if the blower is noisy there is usually a leaf stuck in it causing noises. If you remove the cabin filter as per my video and use a mirror to look down into the blower to see if anything is in there. Could be a good starting point.
@@LowRangeNick Sweet... will do when I change the filter next week. Might just be something stuck in there hopefully. Just watched your full service video from 2019, amazing info and solid run down. Thank you very much mate!
Handy information, thanks Nick. I found rat(s) have eaten their way into the cabin via the blend door. Chewed the plastic mesh, small flapper and filters. I stopped them by installing Al mesh to the intake apetures in upper firewall. They run inside along the LH mudguard, up through screened cavity to enter via firewall..... 🐀
Such a shame for isuzu Philippines, 1st generation mu-x here does not come with an a/c air filter and cover. Owners need to DIY cut the plastic cover, put a filter and buy a proper cover.

That's great! Cheers Brenton!
Have now been using a k&n reusable washable cab filter for a few years now. Does a good job.
Very timely.
Literally my replacement cabin air filter just arrived 5 mins ago.

Loving your work fella!
Have or will you do a pre fuel filter install at some stage?
Got a DMAX and can’t find anything in regard to it 🤷♂️
Thanks Shane! I will fit a secondary filter at some point in the future.
Pls. Make a video for diy cabin filter for rear blower of mux. Thanks.

Hi is this the filter that needs replacing at the 100000 km service ? Thanks
Yes it is the pollen/ cabin filter
I always run my aircon on recirculate.... do i need to replace the cabin filter ?
Yep, the air recirculates through the cabin filter when kept on recirculate.
@@LowRangeNick cheers mate, i watched your vid on changing the fuel filter cartridge and did that the other day.
Thanks mate 🍺
