thansk again for the upload, man guy can't catch a break! is it me or does he naturally seem flirty without meaning to, even with his mom. wish there was more of him at this age
Jonathan Crombie had immense star power and was heavily underutilized by the industry. Anne of Green Gables is great, but its a tragedy that there wasn’t an auteur filmmaker back in the ‘80s, like Jarmusch or De Palma, to cast Jonathan as the lead in a film, so that we could have at least one arthouse film with him for the Criterion Collection or something like that, similar to River Phoenix in My Own Private Idaho.
My my... Doesn't Chris look dashing in this movie ? 😎 How can someone be so flirty and handsome at the same time!? Now this was real talent back then...
Thanks for posting this. I saw this movie many moons ago. I believe this is based on a short story written by Pope John Paul II. Some of what the son says later on in the movie about his mom still haunts me.
This movie was strange. Good at some points, but strange overall. For instance, the music that follows JC into the kitchen is a weird choice for the scene. And for a movie that is basically about love, its actors didn't really connect. Olivia Hussey always looked like she was on the verge of kicking someone's ass. The writing was awkward, too.
Lodi Daley 1989, I would like to see the whole movie too. I primarily only know the late Jon Crombie from the Gables movies, it's cool to see him in other things.
I rather rent it from a library or watch it on YT in case I am not thrilled about the film. But that's great you got it from Amazon. Do him and his gf break up?
Ila Hilda Sissac They had misunderstanding in the story, because the girl's parents' marriage was a little bit shaky. Problem was resolved, Christopher (Jonathan) and Monica finally got married towards the end of the story.

Does JC's voice sound a little odd? Like it had changed since AOGG?
