The second button under your screen is to lock the machine so you won’t sew your finger. Looks like a presser foot a needle and a circular arrow. I saw someone use paper binder clips to hold the fabric back from falling into the hoop.
i have the he300 which seems similar to yours. is there a way to change the size of the hoop setting? it won’t let me embroider more than 4inches but my hoop is 7inches and the manual says i can do up to 10inches
