Subject: The 80:20 Rule: An Urgent Appeal for Fairness in Nursing Officer Recruitment
I’ve reached out to the Prime Minister and President of India, but filing an appeal to the high court requires resources I don’t have. That’s where you come in. Your platform has the power to spotlight this issue and advocate for a fairer system.
Gangsta Perspective Team, your voice can make a world of difference. Please consider making a video to highlight this matter. The principles of equality and fairness must prevail in the recruitment process for nursing officers. Male candidates deserve a fair shot.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I’m hopeful that with your support, we can bring about a just and equitable resolution.
Dear ajeet bhaiya
Subject: Unfair Play: The 80:20 Rule in Nursing Officer Recruitment
I hope this message finds you in great spirits. I am Mohit Gurjar, and I am reaching out to you regarding a critical issue that needs immediate attention. As an aspirant for the NORCET (Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test), I am confronted with a glaring injustice - the 80:20 reservation rule imposed by AIIMS for nursing officer recruitment.
Picture this: After dedicated efforts, I secured an All India Rank of 2700, only to realize that out of 2000 vacancies, a mere 100 seats are allocated to UR (General) male candidates. This disproportionate allocation, with 80% of seats favoring female candidates, is a direct blow to the principles of fairness and equality enshrined in our Constitution.
In recent NORCET exams, where about 7000 vacancies were available, male candidates were left with a fraction of seats. Even with a commendable All India Rank of 1500 in NORCET 4, I found myself without a seat. The 80:20 rule not only undermines merit but also perpetuates discrimination.
Supreme Court rulings, such as Indra Sawhney v. Union of India (1992), advocate for reasonable reservation policies, emphasizing that no group should be favored to the extent of unfairness. The current 80:20 split clearly crosses this line.
I have petitioned the Prime Minister and President of India, but addressing this issue comprehensively demands wider visibility and advocacy. This is where your influential platform comes into play.
Ajeet bhaiya your voice has the power to spark change and bring attention to this injustice. I urge you to consider creating a video to shed light on this matter. By advocating for fairness and equal opportunity in the recruitment process for nursing officers, we can ensure that merit triumphs over arbitrary quotas.
Thank you immensely for your time and consideration. Together, we can champion a system that upholds the values of fairness and equality.
Looking forward to your support and a positive response.

I hope this message finds you in good spirits. , and I’m reaching out with an issue that's deeply personal and incredibly urgent. As a dedicated male aspirant for the NORCET (Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test), I’ve hit .
To paint a clearer picture: In the last NORCET exams (3, 4, and 5), there were about 7000 vacancies for nursing officers. Out of these, a mere 1200 seats went to male candidates. For general category male candidates like me, this translated to roughly 600 seats. Despite my best efforts, even scoring an All India Rank of 1500 in NORCET 4 wasn’t enough to secure a spot. In NORCET 5, with a rank of 2700, my chances are nearly nonexistent. The 80:20 rule feels not just unfair, but discriminatory.
Supreme Court decisions, like in the Indra Sawhney v. Union of India (1992) case, stress that reservation policies should be reasonable and not exceed 50%. Another case, Union of India v. R. Rajeshwaran (2003), upheld a much lower reservation percentage for women, justified by specific circumstances. The current 80:20 split defies these principles.

Basically the indian railways don't make any money so they have to increase the number of reserved coaches ( ac and sleeper) and add profit making trains ( like vande bharat) for people who can pay the premium. but that reduces the number of general coaches while the demand is ever increasing. often people get into reserved coaches due to lack of space and ruin the experience.
true, in my recent experience, i could barely board the train, and when the train departed from the station before the station in which i was to deboard, i was fuckin scared, i was wondering how I can get out of my seat with such luggage, people were covering up the whole aisle and the area near the doors, on top of that they had huge bags filled with god knows what on the floor 😂
Imagine entering a race where most of the lanes are already occupied, leaving you with just a fraction of the track to run on. That's what the 80:20 rule feels like in the NORCET exam for male candidates.
Picture this: out of every 100 seats available, a staggering 80 are reserved exclusively for female candidates, while only 20 are left for male candidates to compete for. It's like trying to find space in a crowded room where most chairs are already taken.
This unequal distribution not only makes the competition incredibly fierce for male candidates but also limits their chances of success. It's like playing a game where the odds are stacked against you from the start.
The impact? Talented and deserving male candidates might miss out on opportunities simply because of this gender-based quota system. It's a situation where merit takes a back seat, and the focus shifts to meeting quotas rather than recognizing individual abilities.
This rule has sparked discussions about fairness and equal opportunities. Shouldn't everyone, regardless of gender, have a fair chance to showcase their skills and qualifications? It's a question that calls for a reevaluation of how we approach recruitment processes to ensure that talent and merit triumph over arbitrary quotas.

Warm regards,
Happened with me once. Was travelling from Jasidih(Deoghar, for those not for Jharkhand) to Delhi. So, train had these very stoppages, Jasidih, JhaJha, Kiul, Mokama, Patna, Ara, Buxar, DDU, Prayagraj, Kanpur and Delhi.
So, when the train was about to stop at Kiul Junction, I want to the washroom, and came back when the train departed that station. I came back, only to find that 4 women(daily passengers, not daily wage labourers though) were sitting on my Side Lower seat in the 3rd AC. I was 19 then, just too shy to even ask them, but the guy the Upper Side berth told me to ask them, I did so, and they said me that they'll get down in some time at Buxar(almost 3½ hrs. later) shamelessly, and didn't move an inch. Felt like kicking them on their faces and throw them off the train when it's at the peak speed, but I knew that I can't do the either. I had to stand for an hour, when the guy at side upper offered a part of his seat to me. Such shameless creatures are people like these.
railways have gone to shit
it always was
2:00 The problem is ki sleeper ki seats 2-3 mahine pehle sei hi reserve ho jati hei. to aise me logo kei pass paise hone kei bawajut wo travel nahi kar paa rahe hei . Abb wo log jaise taise ghus jate hei aur jarurat pade to fine dei kar bhi travel karna pade tab bhi aise kide mokode ki tarah travel kartee hei . Basically, there is a huge lack of trains in the railway. And railway needs to increase the no of trains so as to fulfill this requirement. The cost of flights becomes more than 7-8 times that of a normal sleeper seat in a train which they can't afford, so they are helpless. They have need to travel at any cost on these trains.

Exactly. Half of India's problems would be solved if we somehow reduced our population.
They SHOULD implement a 2 child policy.
Meri seat bhi ek ladki lene waali thi than she realized i am batman 😌
Oh nahh The "I believe in Gender equality" card 💀
Railways isliye bigad gaya h because sleeper class reduce kardiya h, and AC coaches, 3rd tier economy is introduced, toh logo ko saste mein ticket nahi mil rhi, and they’re all over the ac coaches without ticket
passengers and general bogies are reduced in high intensity
Problem with railways is that they want to upgrade to provide premium facility to its passengers. On the other hand our country's demographic data demands for more sleeper as well as general coaches in trains with low fare. But railways is focusing on removing sleeper and general coaches and changing it with 3rd ac economy coaches which already feel congested. This created such havoc in railways which are causing such issues of people travelling in such unauthorised way
Jitni tezi se population badhi hai aur jitni tezi se requirement badhi hai, utni tezi se number of trains aur seats nahi badhi hain. Toh yeh hona hi tha ek point par.
bhai mere papa railways main kaam karte hai unke working hours bhi jyada hai . vo bolte hai ki population to hai hi ek problem lekin usse badi problem battameez logo ki hai. specially these kind of women aur agar kuch kaho to vahi hai ki police bulwa lungi
Hlo, shwetabh bhaii.
This over- crowding of coaches is happening due to government policy, of replacing general coaches with ac ones. So, the traffic of general coaches is now occupying newly added ac coaches. Indian raliways had fucked up big on supply and demand issue.
It is said that the present government reduced the “general” coaches (which the lesser privileged people take) and added more ac coaches that is why higher number of “encroachment” in ac coaches
Yes I don't know if it's true. It's also said that ticketless travelling has also put a dent in the income of the railway department, that's why they did that.
I think that the MAIN PROBLEM is overpopulation. This here is the thing which, if solved, would automatically solve certain peripheral problems, like unemployment, the cut throat competition for a few seats, overcrowded trains, overcrowded prisons, overburdning of judiciary etc.
Yes, I don't why they're not strict regarding this issue, it's literally the root cause of most problems here. They should implement a 2 child policy, and maybe add a penalty if it's broken, like having more than 2 kids would result in a 50% decrease in your salary.
I think its time for Stand Up reaction... bring the old stuffs back 🥸
Railway ki bajai hui hai. Sleeper coaches are now General coach.... Really super bad situation and they are selling vande bharat.
