Congratulations on your cookbook release. The layout, including Pierres graphics, looks extremely clear which will help students to pick up the ideas. Thank you for helping out the modular community.
It’s a wonderful resource man, cheers. A wealth of avenues and rabbit holes to tumble down and explore… Loads more accessible than the PDF ones for me but, I guess I’m old fashioned and like a book in my hands :)
What a video! The second patch with the multiple envelopes was so inspired. I'm very much looking forward to trying this one out myself. All the best, Paul
I picked up the book today and I'm really enjoying the premise of presenting the building blocks rather than specific implementations. I've been thinking about implementation in Ableton and wondering what a sequence switch would look like, but then I thought it would be a MIDI Rack with an LFO picking the MIDI chain... (I really believe that Ableton with Max for Live can act like a modular synth!). Thanks for putting all the work into this...
Congratulations for the book release! I will get mine soon. I've been learning to use VCV Rack since January by watching your videos and communicating. I found the software through a Sound Design class while I was a student at Berklee. Now I think is a good idea to have the book in printed version for study and future consulting. Great work. Glad!
I am gonna buy this and thank you for Envelope mixing tutorial , I had to imediatally try this.. I am using BSP as a gate source and Percal as a EG . WHat a great sound design tip, thank you
OMG* Congrats instant buy this in Schneidersladen xD. I was so long out of Modular Tweaking but its time to come back...Thank you for this awesome and helpful Cookbook. Peace*
Cool ! I've also thought about writing a book about patches and naming it something like a recipe book (but in Chinese and simpler 😅). Looks like I need to think carefully about the title now!
@@OmriCohen-Music It's a good price. But the post&packaging via Schneidersladen for €12,10 was a bit of an unpleasant surprise. I think I'll order the pdf version

If you're in the US, Perfect Circuit is 100% legit, I've bought plenty from them and I'm sure anyone else commenting on here from the US has likely purchased from them too. So you were "familiar" with Amazon before you ever bought from them?
@@OmriCohen-Music And the grid has a different sound, I guess you could call it character! Is it possible to warm up the digital sound, to give it an analog feel? Is it a matter of saturation?
Yeah, unfortunately, I had to sell quite a few desktop synths for this... But I prefer to have it all in the case now, rather than having synths outside of it.

Thank you so much!
I have mine in hand and have already gone through a few of the "recipes". Love it! Thanks for helping me continue my modular journey!
Thanks so much!
Pierre has created some of the most beautiful modules. So glad to hear of the contribution!
Cookbook looks great. Definitely purchasing. Great to see examples in Bitwig and I'd love to see more with the Grid along with VCV Rack.
Thanks so much!
Ordered! Really excited and looking forward to cook up some patches! Cheers from California

Ordered from Perfect Circuit in US but it’s backordered. I guess they are currently sold out - congrats for that! I’ll be patiently waiting.
Thanks! There are more copies already on their way, so I hope it will be available again in the next days :)

cool. Fathers day is approaching in Australia, would make a nice present.

If I had the extra dough, it'd be an insta-purchase. I know it would be a great reference material to have.
That is an insta-buy, so excited to get it!
Thanks so much!
yes!!!
Santa is very early this year.
Can I use all the patches in VCV rack?
I don't know if it comes with the physical book but the "choose your own price" ebook includes VCV rack patch files.
Hi! Yeah, there's even a link where you can download patches for all the ideas in the book.
What is the choose your own price ebook?
@@OmriCohen-Music It's a good price.

I think I'll order the pdf version
Just bought it on Perfect Circuit!
Thanks!
$30?
@@interpr3t about $35 with shipping.
A question about adding sequences with MN XPan: how is it possibile to send pitch and gate woth only one cable?
Do you mean to gate the voice? In this example I'm not using an envelope, the oscillator is free running.
@@OmriCohen-Music yes, i cant understand how voltageblock can send pitch and gate with only one out for track. ok, is not this case but , most generally, i i can figure out wow that sequener works. thanx for answer :)
Great video. Omri.. I want to buy the book in physical form now, so I want to sell my pdf . Is this ok ?
How do you make the diagrams for stuff like this cookbook?
Ive wanted to better document my patches and ideas in a similar format but have yet to find a system that works for me.
Hi, Pyer really did an amazing job with the diagrams. You can also try Google Drawings for the basic ideas.
will it be on Amazon at some point? I'm not big on buying from unfamiliar sites
I don't think it will be on Amazon in the near future, but those are the biggest stores for Eurorack stuff.
If you're in the US, Perfect Circuit is 100% legit, I've bought plenty from them and I'm sure anyone else commenting on here from the US has likely purchased from them too. So you were "familiar" with Amazon before you ever bought from them?
How well will this book translate to virtual modular? I mean VCV and Mi-Rack? Thanks.
Hi! I'm not familiar with miRack, but there are patch examples in VCV Rack to all the techniques in this book, so they all work very nicely in VCV.
@@OmriCohen-Music Thanks for that.
Hi it’s available a digital version to buy it?
❤🎉
Hi Omri! Analog eurorack sounds better than vcv rack? Or does it just seem that way? Feels like a more harmonic-rich spectrum.
Hi! I don't know if it's better, but it can be different, yes
@@OmriCohen-Music And the grid has a different sound, I guess you could call it character! Is it possible to warm up the digital sound, to give it an analog feel? Is it a matter of saturation?
@@angrytoken Yeah, there are a few ways you can do this. The main idea should be adding instability.
hi i want order a copy but are sold out??? thanks

Good job...but $30 for a book?
I just priced all the modules in your rack . Quite pricey
Yeah, unfortunately, I had to sell quite a few desktop synths for this... But I prefer to have it all in the case now, rather than having synths outside of it.
