I was healed from spiritual death, separation from God, and being cut off from the covenant of grace. I see a great deal of real evidence for the existence of God, the accuracy of the Bible, the truth of Jesus' claims of divinity, and the historical facts of the resurrection, but I would believe none of it if God had not made me alive and given me the ability to believe. To God all glory! Because of this, and this alone, I will one day get to enter into the presence of the Lord.
There are no doubt many TRUE Christian musicians that have come along since Keith Green. God only knows the heart of each man or woman but I would venture to say that judged by their "fruit," a good many would fall into that category. I also believe that Keith was one of them. I saw him in Ellensburg, WA at CWU a couple years before he died. I praise God for what he did in Keith's life and "he being dead, yet speaks." Praise be to Jesus!

I've been listening to this song since a teen.Since the days of living w an alcoholic st-dad,watching his life thinking 'really'? Is ths all thr is to life? The life my fellow class mates talked-up on Fri nt,going to the next party to get drunk.I began searching.Then,my older bro who had bn on drugs began reading the Bible & Jesus changed his life.He shared Keith's music w me. I hv since LOVED this song. So ya'll can keep bickering about evol.It only took lookg @ the life of a drunk.I pic Jesus

His music always points me to Jesus. It's filled with truth and encouragement. Keith fulfilled His purpose on this earth and God gave him the drive and personality for the task. I remember him at Jesus'78 and he wouldn't allow the crowd to cheer for him like they were at a rock concert. He didn't just come out and perform like the other artists there; his purpose was to minister, not just entertain. I don't think he'd fall into the seeker sensitive movement of today.
That's a good song with a great message. May God wake us all up to hear the Good News of Christ. Even us believers all need an awakening every often. Hypocrisy no good. Jesus continues to 'move stones'! Praise the Lord for His undeserved grace!
God used him to straighten out a teenage apathetic punk like me 15 years after he was taken from us. He had a significant impact on my life.
Keith Green is no better than any other person alive today or was alive 100's of thousands of years ago.
This video says it all. As others have said before, Keith was not a perfect man. He had faults and errors like all fallen men. But he was BOLD for Jesus, the first real evidence of the Holy Spirit. He also decided to give up his gift to God and not make a deal with the devil for fame like most have done. Then God gave his gift back and proceeded to use him in a mighty way. Praise Jesus.
My mom and uncle were raised Apostolic...They listened to Keith Green other singers such as David Meece ..and others....
friend, I couldnt agree with you more! Keith green was preaching the truth and there's no reason that that truth should stop being preacher now! I know other ppl who got saved thanks to the catholic chronicles.

So sad for us that Keith Green did not have to wait long at all to get to Heaven. But while he was here on earth he sure accomplished a lot. He left us with so many recordings that make it possible for us to still see and listen to him share "The Good News" in his own special way that continues to reach so many. That is a wonderful thing!

God is sovereign, which means He decides what happens in the universe. Many people don't get this or cannot accept this. While a Christian is on this earth he can be joyfull about his destiny and ache for those who are lost at the same time. God has told the world, in His living word, that when a believer goes to heaven the old order of this world (the world you and me are living in right now) will pass away...
He died when I was 11 & I didn't really know his music then. As I've gotten older, I've gotten into him. Without a doubt father of modern worship music.
Maybe one day you too can be blessed to say that God changed your life (maybe through keith like thousands of others).
I adore this man, and his beautiful passionate heart. It's like he stepped right out of the Bible.....he reminds of David :)

I think Keith Green's life and music was and is a great inspiration for many includin me...
oh yes..its such a blessing to be able to believe. Faith is a gift. it starts with our willingness, then in a flash comes this blessedness of faith & hope which is mind boggling (literally!:-). try it, you'll find its better than the dead, dry, bleak nothingness that unbelief brings. Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good.
May the Holy Spirit have an impact on our lives as it did on Keith's. Thank you Lord for Keith's short but fruitful ministry...Praise God!
I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour as I was listening to this song thirty two years ago. Its great to know that I could still hear this song here , Thanks a lot Keith even though you are not here in this world anymore God still uses your song to minister for people.
Kind of bittersweet but cool that not very long after this he got his wish and DID get to heaven! And with two of his kids and a bunch of friends & brothers/sisters in the Lord no less! :)
I have been diagnosed with terminal cancer and this song meant a lot before the diagnosis. Now, it means even more to me and yes, I can't wait to get Heaven! Oh yes!

Second, I want to ask you (hopefully without sounding like a jerk) if you have ever repented of your sins and committed your life to Jesus Christ. If you have, that is wonderful news. i never watch animation anymore so probably you just got that from t.v. and i am already dead in spirit but the Lord kept me alive. im alive awake alert enthusiastic in the presence of God. of course i was never there coz i am here. actually i dont usually walk, i always run coz im almost always late for work. if you think my life is stagnant, its okay coz its the most beautiful gift i got from the Lord because Jesus is my life. amen

Wow. I'm so glad God revealed this song to me recently. I am a cancer survivor (thus far). Yet, if the cancer reoccurs, I have the assurance I will be in heaven with Jesus (and Keith Green).
Such a comforting song to listen to for these times we're living in.

look who is talking, hehehe.. you know i dont have a church or a religion anymore. but i assure you that i am a Christian through Jesus Christ and i read the bible and keep His words everyday. you know the church is the people that unites in the name of God and not the mansions build by a rock or organization.

Keith was quite the funny guy! you can tell a bit of his goofyness every now and then in this clip. He was such an amazing guy, definitely one of my greatest heroes!
How can anyone be so talented and spread such joy? His videos are helping me cope with a shattered heart. I hope he knows how much his music is blessing me through a terribly dark time in my life.

it is such a blessing to see live footage of keith green, because he died 6 years before i was born. bless you for putting this up, keith has been one of the few musicians who has been able to get me to even come close to crying when i hear his songs. also, i feel that a lot of artists sugarcoat the message of the bible nowadays, but keith always kept it simple and blunt, so you would actually realize that it was directed at you.

Keith, as a 14 year old, was to be the next teen heart=throb sensation from hollywood. However, David Cassidy'a agent be him to the punch. K was so heart broken that was driven to the Lord to whom he dedicated obvious musical talents. A tragic plane wreck ended his life but not before K could could convince 10,000+ people to give their souls to Christ.
It amazes me that even years later, many can still learn so much from Keith. I guess this is what prophets are all about...

Been over 20 years since his death and his songs still tug at peoples hearts, and I think it's because you can feel the love in his voice. He had a message of love and compassion rather than Judgement... The true message of Christ's love. Check out "The Easter Song" by him---Simply awesome!

I really really enjoyed this song! I just found out about Keith Green a few weeks ago and I'm glad the Lord led me to hear his music! His songs are so scriptural which is a rarity to find, esp. this day and age, so I'm glad the Lord took me back! ;)

In the bible it says that GOD does not wish the death of anyone, he loves us... But his patience will end when his Judgement will come, and I'm not trying to convince with fear, but with love, Jesus's love, Gods love. Jesus says ask i shall answer seek and you shall find, knock and i will open, don't give up to find the truth....Christianity is so destorted now that people who don't believe it can not be convinced...there is the true river of life.... seem and you will find. Thank you! I had no idea video of him was even available! He died four years before I became a Christian. I regret I never got to see him live, but I will meet him and sing with him in heaven.
I saw him perform in person during our church's trip to dorton arena in Raleigh NC in the very early 80's He said the arena (colliseum) was like a big butterfly waiting to fly. (it has a wierd shape)

I had some of his records back when I was a teenager cause I liked his music, but I never got to see what he looked like live. He is very inspiring and entertaining. He was a very lively person and I like the lyrics and the way he pounds on the piano! This really brings back a lot of memories for me! I remember sitting in the bathtub and singing along with him and stuff.
Jesus says "Unless you eat of my flesh and drink my blood you have no life in you, for MY FLESH is TRUE food and my BLOOD TRUE DRINK."

2eel, I am a former religious atheist.I was raised in religion to please my family, but I lived my life as if there was no God. I then left home and believed that some prehistoric chemical accident created intelligent self-replicating life even though there is no absolute proof of this. I then encountered the resurrected living Jesus and I was truly "born again" (not just a religious label). For your sake I hope I'm wrong...but if you're right the ultimate outcome doesn't really matter.
