Hey Colin! Thank you for this video! I’ve been in the construction industry for many years and I’m transferring into sales. This was very helpful! Also, fist bump to a fellow Michigander!
@@_CowboyColinunfortunately the job didn’t go through. So I’m back looking for a sales position. I still have my project coordinator position, but am really hoping for a sales career. I’m just applying and practicing a great amount of patience. Thank you for asking and following up! Hope you had a great 4th here in MI! Take care and love the videos!
Excellent question. While that's the great debate, our GAF rep has given me a letter stating no it does not. I once had one from OC when I was looking at partnering with a clevelend business too.
Many do. And that's the main reason we don't sell this along the beaches, because the sand will make that happen. There's no such thing as a maintenance free gutter guard. But in my experience this is the closest to it.
It takes time and good vetting to get good sales people. Our best sales people have been with us a number of years, new guys tend to come and go. Best incentive for sales is good commission pay and good company culture that is constantly being cultivated over time.
Dang man. This was a perfect way of doing it. I commented a few times before so im that Gutter guy who hasnt called yet. Just scared youll pitch me too well and ill cave in. Im in the process of transition and an issue im constantly having with builders is that they keep getting other quotes and they always go with the lower price regardless of what I do. Ill give them my quote and anytime anyone gives them one after they always go with them. Any suggestions?
Great question. That is difficult to work around as is so sometimes you have to change your target audience to those who are willing too pay top dollar for premium product and service. To back that up though you have to have Premium customer care, service and product. You have to have a great customer experience from initial contact to when they leave a review for the work you did. In your quote, talk yourself up and add in why you're better than the other guys.

Glad it helped! Sales is great because there is no roof on your income limit. How is it going for you so far?

Great video
Does LeafBlaster Pro going under the shingles void the warranty of the roof?

@@_CowboyColin good to know, thank you!
doesn't the micro mesh work like a fine sifter? after a while wouldn't it get just plugged up like a sifter does?

Good presentation. How are you finding good sales people?

@@_CowboyColin Are you tracking how good they are based on what percent of their estimates turn into jobs? Good sales people can convert 50-70%?

Hey, Is Leaf Guard good company to work for ?
Can't speak from experience, so no advice there! Only things you'll catch me saying are real life experiences.

Can you go more in-depth on your question? Not quite sure what you mean.
@@_CowboyColin the sealant you put on end caps and corners that’s from Canada and last a long time?
Oh the sealant! Let me figure out what its called and some other details and Ill get back to you.
kop-r-lastic. That's the sealant from Canada that we use.

Are u kidding with the 6 inch? I’ve always done 5 also in northern Michigan
We do 6 inch exclusively. Being very serious about 6 inch. What makes you do 5 inch?
