I'm a cancer patient and have lost my hair. Wigs are uncomfortable everyday and I'm bored of the same old style of turban. This is a great look. Will definitely give it a go. Thank you for sharing :-) xx
Absolutely GORGEOUS!!!! You are so detailed and explain everything step by step and I love that! Why people on here discussing religions is beyond me, I just want to know how to wrap my hair and make it stylish! Good grief..... Anyhoo LOVE your video!
This is such a lovely look! I am going to begin covering my head in church, I believe God is calling me to continue this holy practice. Thank you for sharing this!! God bless!
St. Paul calls for women to cover their heads in the Church and we Orthodox have been continuing this Jewish/Middle Eastern practice since the beginning. I commend you! I'm an Orthodox Christian Jew who LOVES covering my head! I actually make head scarves that are white with an iron-on transfer design. Shalom!
Same for me. I had a dream where Yahweh told me to cover my hair. I told him no I couldn’t do it because people would think I have cancer. He pressed me till I finally saw that He is right. I now understand. When I first started trying to tie a scarf I heard, “all of it”. I know He doesn’t want us showing any of our hair and I was directed to watch these videos.
Greetings from a Muslim subscriber! The end product is very nice and the colours chosen really suit you. I think it's wonderful how we can look to one another for inspiration. :)
from Jamaica,Im African...this is so gorgeous, i know how to tie varieties of styles and this is a plus one for me, thank u, i cant wait to try it on Sunday.
Thank you very much for making these tutorials ! My best friend from childhood (we are now in our mid-fifties ...ugh...) and I were just recently discussing past use of head coverings in our own religion. In the 1960s Catholic women stateside, were still wearing head coverings to Mass or any formal religious gathering , service like weddings, funerals, wakes etc. Over time we have done away with that tradition. We both agreed that it made us sad thus was no longer done. I shared a web site of companies still making them commercially with her. They can be so flattering . And on you esp they are very beautiful! Seems to have tapped into an enhanced , deeply radiant side of you ! Just wanted to take a moment share that view and thank you personally. My friend and I have both said we would like to begin wearing them again for church services. Who knows, it could really begin a tradition of bringing back a few older ideas ! ❤❤
I ordered from your store today.. cant wait til my items arrive. Wishing you much success with your store. Youve been an inspiration to many of us learning to cover our heads!
Just got your site this evening and absolutely love every one you've posted. Going thru chemo hair loss dislike the wig. Scarves and other lightweight very wide bands have been my go to when i leave the house. Thank you so much for sharing❤
I love covering my hair! The hijab I vid started the whole criss cross craze and I think it's wonderful! I also love the variation that you pulled off!! Great job!!
Bless you, I've been trying to do more turban style hijab and your tutorials are a serious God send. Thank you so much, and bless your modesty, we are all sisters of the books at the end of the day. :)
Thank you for your lovely you tube videos, I am having treatment for breast cancer and have no hair now so I am encouraged to experiment with scarves as even though I have a wig, scarves are more comfortable. Thank you.
Thank you for your willingness to teach. I watched a Muslim tutorial on the criss cross front after I watched yours. I found it interesting that we don't use any pins except to accessorize and these women used lots of pins. I say some beautiful wraps and ideas however. Chazakh U''Barukh
Because I only have one wall mirror, I end up using a hand mirror, or even the mirror that comes with a makeup compact, to view the back of my head and check the finish on my wraps. It's awkward, but I eventually get it just right. The effort is always worth it in the end. Thanks for this tutorial.
Shalom Andrea! Your designs are gorgeous and I commend you for keeping this mitzvah. I'm an Orthodox Christian Jew who LOVES covering her head! Actually, original Christianity was considered a sect of Judaism and the Orthodox Church has continued the practices, including that of women covering their heads. Most just use the head covering during Liturgies but I like to wear it all the time, mainly because of my Jewish heritage. Todah rabah for your great videos! Shalom ;-)
I'm a Christian gal looking to learn styles I can use when covering my hair (I just feel like I should cover it all) and your tutorials make me so inspired!💙
Muslim and Jewish women really should be able to learn from each other and exchange tips and tricks. Sometimes I find that the Muslim women around me look really good with their scarves! It really highlights the face to have colors near it, doesn't it? :)
I think I may want a OOMF CAP, too. My head shape is not made for scarves and they slide off unless I design it all like a toque, covering up to eyebrows and over most of my ears.
What was the name of the cap you put on?? umpff cap or something? I have short hair I'd like to grow in and this scarf idea would be awesome. Please tell me where to get the cap, I gather it could be stuffed with material if no available hair LOL
This is such a beautiful wrap! I love the scarves too. Wouldn't it be easier to do with scarves without fringes though? Do the fringes have any role in holding it together maybe?
I am looking for a way to dress different ladies' headscarfs in a respectable, modest manner representing jewish tradition, and I believe you have shown me this. Thank you!
I tried doing it this way, but found that I had too many fringies and floppy ends to control. For me it worked better to wrap, tuck, wrap, tuck. It was more bother, but in the end it proved easier.
I watcehed your two videos on part 1 and 2. Explaining why you began covering your hair. They were wonderful very uplifting. As im struggling with weather to do so. I love the idea and reason. I am embracing my jewishness. however my husband is not a jew. I dont think he would mind me wearing a head scarf...he doesnt mind me going to synagouge. I usually dont mind being different. Why coveting my head is a struggle. I put to much emphasis on the outer ...im a work in progress. Ive been acclimating my self to be more torah observant. Id love to have a friend like you.. your videos are encouraging. Any imput would be appreciated...
Sorry if I am butting in, I cant help myself sometimes ! Lol! I just wanted to say that since I started wearing a tichel, there has been: A) No more of my hair in our meals (Lol) B) Less hair in my shower drain and brush C) it's luster has increased and its less damaged by the environment.(Sun, dust, wind, chemicals etc) D) Its not in my face or blown everywhere E) my husband and I have a common ground. He likes helping me pick out tichels that look good or he thinks are attractive, and he likes helping me tie them in unique and interesting ways. The latest has been those circular scarves in walmart, the ones that do the seven in one looks kind of thing? He figured out how to wrap them as tichels for me, and they are so comfortable! There are benefits! :)
I appreciate your thoughts..I was looking at scarves in a number of department stores. I couldn't decide on what to put with what..I m feeling not to pretty....right now...
If you were your own best friend, what would you say to yourself right now? :) I am ornery and go and tell my husband "You aint doin' your job in making me feel beautiful, cause I is depressed and feelin' ugly, and that's in the contract you signed when we got married"....lol. :) He usually laughs and then he says something nice. A hug works too.
this type of crisscross wrapping is integral to the style of Sikh turban wrapping. they use very different wraps, however. very long, narrow scarves. but the criss cross wrapping and the tucking is almost identical in execution. perhaps you could look at a couple of sikh women's turban vids? they are very meticulous about the wrapping of their turbans.
Which snood are you wearing and where did you get it...? Also I see another cover under that, what is that and how to get this as well...? Thank you Shabbat Shalom
You are such a beautiful young lady! I prefer to have the tails to one side. My problem is I keep having it fall back, become loose and ultimately having to redo using the rear view mirror in my truck. Arg! What can I do to remidy falling apart? Can you also show how to add in a pretty headband for a dressed up look?
hello, can you recommend an online store where I can find all these modest clothing including caps and scarves? or know any store here in Michigan? I have a hard time find one. Thank you. Appreciate your videos. They helped me a lot.
It's beautiful but what what if there's not enough hair in the back to make that nice shape - nothing to wrap the scarf around? I don't have the large amount of volume you do in the back.
There is a beautiful bald girl with such personality. What life is in her. She's young her name is Ester I think she just started her own youtube videos.
What is the idea of covering your hair in Israel? What is the background... Not all Jews are running around with it I know - but is there a background on it?
Assalamualaikum from USA. Any head dressing that is not white fabric, Hijab for women, kuffie for men, it is not Sunnah. Anything else is just fashion and culture falling outside of the original Abraham religions.
a child is not standard Jewish ever any more, Aryans are natural they do not do justice and they suspect anyone who does justice, they also follow an Aryan lifestyle, you must be Aryan or a little Aryan to understand an Aryan lifestyle it is sort of fun but the appearance gets boring and you have to understand it is without the Shepherd!
I'm a cancer patient and have lost my hair. Wigs are uncomfortable everyday and I'm bored of the same old style of turban. This is a great look. Will definitely give it a go. Thank you for sharing :-) xx
They have a foundation that helps women with cancer to wrap their heads!

Pretty. But what about in summer? It looks hot/heavy.
I want the cap you have underneath where do I get that
Deborah Barton Go to her website Wrapunzel.com and you'll find shapers like this. She also has scarves/tichels galore along with accessories. 😄
That is excellent. After doing some research I see the store is in Baltimore which close by. I am so excited to go and feel and see the materials.

I tried doing it this way, but found that I had too many fringies and floppy ends to control. For me it worked better to wrap, tuck, wrap, tuck. It was more bother, but in the end it proved easier.
