Eye test should 100% matter when it comes to these lists, you want to see players who are untouchable and feels like they could go past 5 players without being tackled. Basing it on trophies or playing for big clubs that win things every year isn’t fair because it’s a team effort.

And his World Cup performance in 1998 was great as well. So yeah he should be behind Luis Suarez for players in the 21st century. If it was the 90s, definitely top 2. The only reason Zidane is not a big lower is because he won 2 out of his 3 FIFA World Player of the Years in 2000 and 2003, his scintillating performances in Euro 2000 and World Cup 2006. And you know whats another glaring thing I saw, the lack of Italian and German players in this list. Only Andrea Pirlo, Gianluiggi Buffon and Toni Kroos made the top 25. Where is Bastian Schweinsteiger? Phillip Lahm? Michael Ballack? Fabio Cannavaro? Alessandro Del Piero had league winning seasons with Juventus and even Paolo Maldini. No Dutch footballers like Arjen Robben. No Portuguese footballers like Luis Figo at all. I am shocked beyond belief that none of the English midfielders like Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, Paul Scholes made the list given some of ESPN's Premier League bias.

Neymar i would say is bit better than Ronaldinho with them experiencing the same highs at the start of their careers with lows near the end which hopefully Neymar can pull a Kante and be great during the next WC, especially if Endrick manages to improve these two years with Real Madrid. Unfortunately, Neymar for now is at best top 15 players due to lack of accomplishments at club level after Barca with Ligue 1 trophies not gettin enough respect. For Brazil he has definitely been the best player for about his whole career, but is nothing like Brazil back in the day.

I find most of the best players to be ones people don’t talk about as much, I’m a huge fan of Di Maria, Coutinho, Alexis Sanchez, Payet, Higuain and the like. Most people talk highly of them but they don’t get very far on lists like this, I feel like if some of these guys had 40+ career trophies they’d be up there absolutely.
