"How'd she see me" based on Markiplier's playthrough, there are triggers that force Chica to spawn and see the player. The security room is one such trigger area.
Yeah like they thought you would run through office and head out straight away, but no one assumed that there was a door and you could escape here that way.
I like how MatPat sees something and can tell us it's from one of the books or from which game, discusses the lore, jokes around, the banter with Steph or anyone in the room, and takes his time just having fun while playing the game.
I think it's really interesting how, when you first see Roxy it seems like she's obsessed with herself, but eventually hearing her repeatedly telling herself that she's best makes it seem like she's actually really insecure. Which honestly, makes you feel a bit bad for her.
I love how the "How to make FNAF not scary" Chica increasingly became important enough to the point of being directly referenced by the Chica from a real FNAF game.
I want a game theory episode where we estimate how much it would cost to run a place like this. I don't even think mcdonalds can afford for this insanity.
It seems like some people are confused as to why you have to get in the charging station every hour. Freddy has to because he says it's a security precaution that the animatronics' battery only lasts an hour. Gregory has to because every hour the power from the entire building is rerouted to the charging stations, meaning the lights turn off so moondrop comes out, leaving the charging stations as the only places moondrop cant get to.
@@etherealnerd probably not, because it's actually not true that all the animatronic's batteries last an hour - only freddy's does. vanessa insinuates it when she finds freddy for the first time, saying the mechanics put him on reduced power due to a safety precaution because of his mess up on stage. none of this implies ALL the animatronics have reduced battery power. and when you think about it, it doesn't make much sense for a company to have all their animatronics required to recharge every single hour; feels like a waste of time the animatronic could be spent performing and earning more money for the establishment. then again, this is all pure speculation, so it's very possible that all the animatronics are required to charge every hour after closing times. who knows!
Ok but how does he not get fried inside them. Expcaly when also inside freddy He obviously is also a robot and he just needs to charge also just not as much as fred cause he isnt on reduced power like him
@@RustyNips The power stations charge Freddy's battery, they don't electrify his body, therefore Gregory is completely fine inside of Freddy while he's in a charging station.
I find it odd how quickly Freddy and the other animatronics get more and more grimy, even before any big damaging incidents. Since this is all supposed to be one night.
My theory is that it’s because Vanny/Vanessa has them running all around the mall looking for Greg, even the grimy gross parts, when they’re only meant to perform concerts and stay in their rooms. Freddy is a little harder to explain
@@zoesmith7404 What do you mean it's hard to explain, just press the default button to beckon Freddy and he clomp-clomps to you from somewhere on the floor you're on lmaoooo
@@mihirx27 lmao right?? and sometimes he even randomly shows up out of nowhere so actually, my theory is that he's so grimy because whenever gregory is too far away homeboy just kinda... jumps and breaks through the walls/ceiling to get to him faster 😂

I prefer the slow run format. When I want to see someone blaze through the game, I’ll watch a speed run. The analysis and tidbits of lore diving are what I enjoy about your play style. Keep doing what your doing dude.
That’s why I don’t understand the people telling him to rush through the game, because you can just watch a speedrun. Mat is trying to find lore, not just finish
Or you can just watch other people play who cut the slow parts and repeat plays out of their videos. Or watch cutscene movies and ending scene compilations. There's really a way to watch for everyone who just wants slow or fast gameplay.
The only thing I don’t like is that he isn’t actually going through the game, going through the game and stopping for lore bits are two different things he is doing and he is preferring to do lore bits much more than actually focusing on the objective. I’ve seen Markiplier play it, seen him get a lot of the same lore in half the time and planning to come back and give more weight to the lore of it all. Mat will get what he wants if he just focuses on the objectives and collecting stuff here and there.
TY! All the comments bitching at him to just finish. I watch MatPat knowing he's going to take his time and explore like I would if I had the game. Why watch MatPat and be mad at him for not just getting the game done?
2 things for you to know MatPat. 1. You possess the ability to call Freddy whenever you want, so you don’t necessarily have to run around looking for him all the time. 2. Freddy has Security Level 10 clearance, so when you call him and walk up to doors that are a higher security clearance level than you, if Freddy’s nearby, the doors will open. This includes certain level 10 doors that lead outside the map. (This is still a thing as of 12/21/21) So if you ever get stuck again down the road and need to speed run the game, here’s a quick tip to put you on the fast track.
Get well soon dude, been really enjoying this gameplay. I vote that you “explore for lore” as much as you want, I dont see other gamers doing it quite like you.
But also with some added explanation, because really MatPat just looks away for seconds probably because it was logical and the...thing's movement is perhaps illogically fast.
This game has alot of bugs, but I can’t blame them. They’re a relatively new studio and pretty small. This game is absolutely massive, I bet it’s really hard to make all the bots pathfinding, checkpoint triggers, visual glitches and other bugs down to a minimum. On the other hand the game is gorgeous, the attention to detail is insane and the animation for the animatronics are superb! Once they nail down the bugs i’m sure this game will go down as a 10/10
Re pathfinding, they made it hard on themselves by not invisible walling awkward geometry, so the player can find clever hiding spots, but also... not die when they really should
AFTER performance and bug fixes, this game might go down as a 6/10, gameplay is garbage, lore is garbage, no horror to be found. Freddy and dj music man are awesome tho
@@fallis07 Umm, I think you’re watching the wrong content if you don’t like this. The gameplay is new and super fresh for the series. The lore is fascinating and its dumb fun to speculate/lore hunt. I love it, but of course its not for everyone.
It is a bummer that such a widely-hyped game has such wild bugs after already being delayed for release once. They should've just waited longer to avoid having game-stopping bugs/glitches like that, that's so wild to me that hours-worth of progress has to be thrown out because of one glitch like that, that must have sucked to realize, thanks for trucking on anyway Matt
Its the fault mainly of the fans. They couldn't delay the game any more without causing a shitfest from rabid fans who will likely send death threats and harass the devs just like with Cyberpunk. This is a 20-or-so person studio making this massive and ambitious game. They've had only two years to make something this big. Fans whine and rage that they want the game to come out quickly and when it does they whine and rage that it isn't super polished like you expect games from studios with massive teams and corporations backing them to be. Steel Wool has . . Scott. And a bunch of brands that just want to sell merch and don't really care what the game is like. I think they really did and are doing their best to please the rabid fanbase they have, which is largely made up of children who don't understand how hard it is to make a game like this.
@@treali I would not give the same excuse to bigger companies OBVIOUSLY because they are, well, bigger. They have resources and support that Steel Wool doesn't. My opinion hasn't changed just because you have tried to insult me. Honestly your whole paragraph doesn't change anything I said. Yeah, everyone payed for the game. So what? Doesn't mean there weren't still rabid fans at the throat of the developers if they didn't release it soon. You KNOW that there would be a shitstorm. Bigger companies are more equipped to handle those kinds of situations. They have more protection for their devs. Not that death threats in any capacity is acceptable. I would be less inclined to defend them knowing they can easily handle it. Steel wool is only about as many people as you can count on your fingers and toes. Honestly at this point I'm just reiterating my original statement since nothing you said rebutted what I said.
@@Bumbling_fool00 Insults are counterproductive to discussion and debate. Its not hard to get your point across civilly and resorting to insults just makes your argument look weak, like you don't have enough to back your point so you resort to tearing down the opposition emotionally. listen, Chica is a disgusting little gremlin. but she's Freddy's disgusting little gremlin 🥰 sometimes your homie eats garbage, but that doesn't make her NOT your homie
@@nathanjereb9944 which is honestly so wild to me, and I wonder what the lore reason behind it is. she's an animatronic, you know? she does not need to eat anything. she's powered by electricity. the desire to eat should not be present anywhere in her programming. and the message you mention even talks about how eating garbage messes with her functioning and gets stuck in her endoskeleton (or something like that). it is actively harmful for her to eat anything at all, let alone actual garbage. so why does she do it?? this is a rhetorical question, but hopefully MatPat finds a little nugget of lore that will explain it.

@@fallis07 I think the programming is faulty in places and there are many, many more bugs than really excusable for a game with this buildup, time, and funding. Hints, NO SPOILERS for endings and extras. There are playable arcades, but only specific special ones. Make sure to gather the special plushies, you'll see one in the next episode. Your choices matter, but you can go back without changing saves. Try some things with some cardboard cutouts after the next time you choose between two options. Do NOT go into El Chips until the end now that you've chosen to go down the vent in salads and sides. It glitches Freddy so you can't go inside him anymore. When you reach the end, follow the instructions and get into Freddy. If the saves glitch out, grab a head (this will eventually make sense). When your theory comes true, return to where you first got chased. Get well soon
He plays on PS5 and Arcades don't work there so he won't do them, you can't get this ending in PS and developers said they are going on Christmas break so who knows when they fix it.
Note for Matpat: If you bring Freddy to Bonnie bowl you will get an interesting piece of dialogue that I recommend listening to. Also if you give Freddy the Monty upgrade and bring him to the gate where the game said something was siphoning power you can get through and get some more important gameplay to the lore
I enjoy watching you play because you ask the question like Jack Skellington “What’s this? What’s this?“ about everything. you're defo not the only one with bugs, mat. this game is all messed up and everyone is experiencing different sets of bugs, too. either yall cut out some stuff or this is the smoothest playthrough yet cos I'm amazed how well this is going
The game is broken, so many people have having problems. i don't know how or why Steel Wool released it like this, a game with bugs so game breaking they prevents progress and force players to repeat hours of play or forgo certain story paths should not have passed QA testing, let alone been released.
Although this is true, it does have a lot more graphics then other fnaf games. Considering an open-world map would have a lot more bugs than a 1st person security game. Also with everyone begging for it’s release, I can’t really blame Steel Wool.

Hear me out, in the duffel message about the Music Man prototypes being stolen, Vanessa is considering calling the cops about a break in, while one of the other messages was Vanessa reporting that the police came for a break-in call from someone inside of the building. This probably has something to do with the whole "split personality" thing from Help Wanted? Thoughts?
The problem is that it wouldn't make sense for Vanny to report herself to the cops for stealing the prototypes. Both messages together don't make sense if we consider her split personality unless Vanny did this to test Vanessa for some reason? Vanessa also mentioned that she didn't know why the cops would come which is weird since she herself had considered calling them because there was a break-in. Maybe Vanny is somehow capable of messing with her memory?
Actually,Vanny is'nt Vanessa's split personality. Both Vanessa and Vanny are really different characters and you'll understand why in one of the endings.
I always assumed it was a megaplex. It's got like, a food level/section with multiple restaurants, a bowling alley, multiple gift shops, Multiple huge attractions/interactive activities, and multiple arcades.

On a serious point, I appreciate Mattpat for dedicating his time to finding out how to fix this glitch. But from a game design, FNAF Security Breach is a very glitchy, not so clear, not so scary, and very confusing and conflicting game. At least for me. I’ve gotten to play it now and oh my god there’s very little guiding the game gives us and it’s a terrible feeling Edit: On the bright side I’m really excited for Mattpat to create a game theory circled around the entire mystery behind whether or not Gregory is human/the bad guy. Because believe me, there is a heavy load of evidence to support both arguments of Gregory not being human and not being da good boi.
@@taniamachin766 Okay, I’ll try to keep it simple but it boils down to this. Spoilers if you haven’t seen the full game btw Greg doesn’t have a profile on Freddy’s system Greg doesn’t even have ANY passes at the beginning so where did he come from? Glitchy effects near Vanny affect Gregory as well as Moondrop’s effects. Something is wrong with Gregory clearly stated by what Freddy says Freddy has friendly connections to the other animatronics as seen by the secret interaction with Roxy in her room. He pitches the idea of them helping us, but Gregory proceeds to decommission every one of them clearly stating they deserve it. In all honesty it felt so wrong to break them apart and use their parts just to upgrade Freddy. He’s not really a good kid ya know? But the most damming one in my opinion is every single possible ending, including the true ending. Every animatronic including Vanessa mention Gregory’s family, yet in every ending not once does he ever go home. He runs away, even in the 3 star ending where he saved Vanessa. He goes WITH VANESSA. Where’s the stupid family huh?! You’d think in one of those endings he’d go see them but he doesn’t. Lastly, he’s had beef with Vanessa before the game even started based on his dialogue in the beginning. So like, when did it start? He didn’t know about Vanny until that night clearly again by his dialogue. And if he doesn’t have a profile in the system, where does Gregory come from?

Admittedly most of it was replaying what they had played before so they chose the recording route so that they could leave new stuff and cut out repeats. Now that it's not glitched anymore they probably will get back to doing it live and just this part was recorded maybe a few other parts will be recorded just to be on the safe side but I feel like once they know for sure that the game won't glitch them out of progressing that they will go back to doing it live.

🤣👍👍👍👏
Especially when their power saving mode is ALL LIGHTS ON 😂
Omg yes pls!
If we're real, Disney could.
This makes so much sense! Thank you for explaining I was a little confused 💕
I wonder if we could wonder out, would we be able to see the other animatronics in their stations?
Expcaly when also inside freddy
He obviously is also a robot and he just needs to charge also just not as much as fred cause he isnt on reduced power like him
@@RustyNips The power stations charge Freddy's battery, they don't electrify his body, therefore Gregory is completely fine inside of Freddy while he's in a charging station.

I'm also enjoying the slower run through so I can enjoy the entire pizzaplex
2 things for you to know MatPat.
1. You possess the ability to call Freddy whenever you want, so you don’t necessarily have to run around looking for him all the time.
2. Freddy has Security Level 10 clearance, so when you call him and walk up to doors that are a higher security clearance level than you, if Freddy’s nearby, the doors will open. This includes certain level 10 doors that lead outside the map. (This is still a thing as of 12/21/21)
So if you ever get stuck again down the road and need to speed run the game, here’s a quick tip to put you on the fast track.

Lmao it's cyberpunk all over again
@@CasualVFlowerEnjoyer I like how you handled that. You didn't insult him.back and just defended your point.
@@Bumbling_fool00 Insults are counterproductive to discussion and debate. Its not hard to get your point across civilly and resorting to insults just makes your argument look weak, like you don't have enough to back your point so you resort to tearing down the opposition emotionally.

Although this is true, it does have a lot more graphics then other fnaf games. Considering an open-world map would have a lot more bugs than a 1st person security game. Also with everyone begging for it’s release, I can’t really blame Steel Wool.
@@_chrlot I can. They're professionals, they shouldn't be letting themselves be bullied by fans into releasing things before they're ready or finished.
@@jazzycat8917 Scott literally RETIRED from backlash. You think a game production studio wouldn’t release a slightly bugged game ?
@@_chrlot Scott's backlash had nothing to do with games, it had to do with his political allegiences getting made public and it made him look pretty awful.
My point stands: a company that allows themselves to be bullied by idiot fans into releasing a broken product too early that said fans are still gonna be mad about is not making the correct choices.
Actually, in the "Pizza Kit" story, Mallory turned out to be alive and hiding out with her boyfriend at the end. The story ends with the main character falling out of her bedroom window, breaking her neck right in front of the girl who supposedly died in the tomato vats.
this is such a cool and very chill franchise lol
@@sethescope Yeah. Nothing like kids falling out of windows to get away from the supposed animate vomit made out of their best friend that they thought were melted in a pizza vat that they ate in order to hide the evidence of their guilt. Totally normal.
@@Lionholme gotta love the random book facts that come out of this franchise oh my god
@@ellespoonies I’ve been listening to the audio versions at work. They get pretty messed up. I think the one that haunts me now, outside of pizza kits, is Lucky Boy, where a guy finds a balloon boy doll that gives him good luck and success but he becomes super dependent and trusting of it. To the point that when he is dissatisfied with his appearance, Lucky Boy suggests a little trim, and I’m not talking about hair. They go through a lot of effort to describe the tools this guy found to mutilate himself.
Every time I learn something new about the FNAF books, it feels like a punch in the face
Mirror Mat is become feisty and I absolutely live for his and Matpat's current dynamic.
I wish Steph always was on the couch, I love her so much! She brings such great energy, and the witty banter is amazing.
Can we all appreciate MatPat for Taking the time to play the game for us even if he's not in the condition to do so
Spoiler for Mark's lets play.
I love that the laundry section took 45 minutes for Mark yet MatPat was able to do it instantly.
It took me too long to figure out a way out and it pissed me off how easy it was....
Mark does have his brightness really low so that might play into the fact. Mat has it all the way up
Weeping angels fnaf edition REALLY freaked me out. Also I just want to say that I love mat’s play through because I love to see Easter eggs and details and analysis which seems to be gtlive specific
Just finished Marks recent video.... Mat is gonna have a folder dedicated to just this game that will rival most homework folders....
New Fbi agent: ok let's take a look at we got at.. *checks notes* Mathew Patrick.
New Fbi agent: *opens the fnaf folder* whats in here... what? Dead children? Animatronic of an 80s family restaurant? "Afton amalgamation"?
Old Fbi agent: oh right you're new, we have been keeping a close eye on this one, very close....

Don't ever feel like you need push through the game for us! The reason we watch you play FNAF is because you take your time and explore the lore! We love it!
14:04 so glad mat started singing the "how unfortunate, how unfortunate~" from sister location too, ever since that game anytime i hear this word i cant help but think abt it 😂
That sound is from ultimate custom night btw 🙂
OMG yes I can’t hear the word unfortunate after that lmao.
May playing fnaf: aaah so scary fnaf I'm markiplier.
Markiplier playing fnaf: LOORE LOOOOORE
I love seeing them playfully poke fun at each other
Imagine an alternate universe where Mark is the lore nerd and Matpat is the comedic psycho
'The theorists are drinking it up' (slurping noises)
the reason i watch matpat’s playthrough is because it’s exactly how i’d play, just looking at everything, all the little details, taking my time enjoying the game.
Jumpscares :
Tiny Music Man 7:30
Glamrock Chica 16:36
Glamrock Chica 22:52
Glamrock Chica 25:57
Map Bot 39:35
Endoskeleton 47:48
Thanks
May your bacon be crisp, may your socks always be soft and dry, may your days be filled with joy, and may your successes be plentiful. You are my savior.
Also 7:30 Mini Music Man if you count that. Made me jump even though I should’ve expected it lol
Seriously, the hero every person like me who hates jumpscares deserves!
You are an absolute god send! Thank you for the hard work in updating the lists for every livestream 💙💙💙
Thoughts?
That’s a really good catch!
Both Vanessa and Vanny are really different characters and you'll understand why in one of the endings.
a lot of people may be having issue with the game, but the speedrunners are having a field day with all the bugs, so I guess there's that, at least
The scariest thing about this game is the uncertainty whether the game will glitch out or crash and destroy your progress.
I always assumed it was a megaplex. It's got like, a food level/section with multiple restaurants, a bowling alley, multiple gift shops, Multiple huge attractions/interactive activities, and multiple arcades.
The way he said "Chica loves pizza!" was so wholesome! I love this Freddy. Awwwe.
This sounds so fun! Honestly, the concept of playing a game with a ton of friends, for an entire day, in a very large space is such a cool idea that I'd love to do.
Please please keep looking for lore! You're the only one I've seen who really goes in-depth, that's what makes gtlive my favorite. Can't wait for the next video!
On a serious point, I appreciate Mattpat for dedicating his time to finding out how to fix this glitch.
But from a game design, FNAF Security Breach is a very glitchy, not so clear, not so scary, and very confusing and conflicting game.
At least for me. I’ve gotten to play it now and oh my god there’s very little guiding the game gives us and it’s a terrible feeling
Edit: On the bright side I’m really excited for Mattpat to create a game theory circled around the entire mystery behind whether or not Gregory is human/the bad guy.
Because believe me, there is a heavy load of evidence to support both arguments of Gregory not being human and not being da good boi.
how is greg not a human? O.o???
@@taniamachin766 Okay, I’ll try to keep it simple but it boils down to this.
Spoilers if you haven’t seen the full game btw
Greg doesn’t have a profile on Freddy’s system
Greg doesn’t even have ANY passes at the beginning so where did he come from?
Glitchy effects near Vanny affect Gregory as well as Moondrop’s effects.
Something is wrong with Gregory clearly stated by what Freddy says
Freddy has friendly connections to the other animatronics as seen by the secret interaction with Roxy in her room.
If you read all the messages on the Fazwatch then everything you have to do is realy clear (I guess it get's complicated if you miss a bag tho).
@@Sway22 That’s the thing tho.
They give you the instructions but not like hints in the actual game. They blend the necessary locations to the background way too well, and if it wasn’t for the bags and gift boxes, I wouldn’t be the first to say even with a flashlight on normal settings, it’s too hard to find things
@@RoyalKingOliver he could also be homeless or his family lives away…
Also, he may have gotten kidnapped and he never visited the pizzaplex
I love how, looking through these comments, we all kinda migrated to Mark's play through because of the slower uploads on Mat's channel 💀 that being said... I heavily prefer Mat's slower, more thorough and brainstorm-y play through style.
I just happen to watch both because I like seeing their different play styles (Jacksepticeye as well), I usually prefer Matt's lore digging. I also love Mark's silliness and more brash way of playing in contrast.
@@EtaryaFae Same here!!!
Its funny, I started on Marks channel, but i switched over to GT because I was sad at how much lore mark was missing
Bruh knowing what happens now, I can’t wait to see Matpat see the lore. He’s going to have a field day.
I believe most of us are here for the lore, so keep going Matt, we enjoy you theorising as you go!
When Matt Pat is playing security breach he basically talks about everything but the game
15:53 That's actually really funny to see "not meat."
Most of my family is vegetarian so we buy a lot of meat substitutes, and after a while we just started referring to it as "not meat"
It always amuses me that people who dont eat meat go SO FAR to copy meat in far inferior forms.
@@Xeno_Solarus Some of it's actually pretty good, and I'm someone who wouldn't hesitate if I was offered a steak (not vegetarian/vegan myself). It just expands the food options available
Plus, some people are allergic to meat or would rather not it it for moral reasons.
@@Xeno_Solarus It's because most of us still like the taste but still won't/can't eat the actual thing for various reasons, so we go all out on the illusion 😂
I love how Mat never uses hiding spots anymore. xD Also...Personally, I miss Bonnie and Foxy. =(
I personally think that these Weeping Angel type enemies are extremely scary (at least when you are playing the game, when watching it, maybe no so much) I played TJoC and that section was probably the scariest
So glad you got through the glitch. It's also nice that you aren't taking it out on Steel Wool like I've seen so many people do online. With such a small company there's bound to be glitches. It's not like they're Bethesda or EA who deserve our wrath when their games don't work as planned. They tried so hard and made such an amazing game. They deserve our admiration for doing so much with such a small team.
Words cannot express how excited I got when this notification popped up! Already ordered a jacket too!
I clicked the notification instantly
Mat literally sounds like he's on the verge of tears.
Let us give our appreciation for MatPat's dedication to this confusingly stressful intriguing series.👏🙃
And stressfully confusing
Mat do whatever you want in the game, it's YOUR playthrough. Look for all the lore ya want. Also get better. I know it sucks being unwell, but ya gotta rest and drink plenty of fluids
mat: *casually beats the laundry room while chatting
mark: spends 1 hr of back n forth confusion unable to find the exit while fully focused
Aw man i would've loved to see this live. Hopefully you can stream when you're reaching the finale?
Agreed that would be nice
I also agree
Agree it would be nice
Admittedly most of it was replaying what they had played before so they chose the recording route so that they could leave new stuff and cut out repeats. Now that it's not glitched anymore they probably will get back to doing it live and just this part was recorded maybe a few other parts will be recorded just to be on the safe side but I feel like once they know for sure that the game won't glitch them out of progressing that they will go back to doing it live.
Ah yeah, I thought I missed it.
