this is bar far the worst advice ive ever had the misfortune of coming across, all you're doing is teaching people to "block" things they're already expecting, which is not how real fights go. if you want to git gud at defense, just play the damn game. blocking should be second nature to anyone that plays fighting games in general, let alone enough to learn the characters within the game. easiest way to practically guarantee a 80-90% block rate is to learn the characters combos so you know what to possibly expect. a big thing to remember with modern fighters like DBZF is that people love to copy others. if you know the tod or bnb combos of a character then you just cant be hit by them

A combo is not the same thing as a blockstring, as there is more to look out for when blocking and ranks doesnt matter in this game at all
